Mbesuma’s Son Also Called For Youth Team Camp

FAZ has named 48 players in the provisional team for the 2023 under-17 Africa Youth Cup set for Algeria next month.

Coach Ian Bakala has listed five players from Atletico Football Club of Lusaka while Kafue Celtics has contributed seven players.

Atletico recently contributed four players to the Zambia under-20 team that participated at the Africa Youth Cup in Egypt.

In the U-17, one of the players listed as from Kafue Celtic, Aaron Mbemba K. Phiri, was recently with Atletico before switching clubs.

There are four players from Muchinga Province. Also in the team is former Chipolopolo star Collins Mbesuma’s son, Linecker Kagiya Mbesuma who is currently on the books of Jomo Cosmos in South Africa

The team will commence camp on Sunday through to March 15, 2023 for the tournament set for April 29 to May 19, 2023.
