ERB HINTS AT POSSIBLE ELECTRICITY TARIFF INCREASE

The Energy Regulation Board -ERB- has hinted a likely increase in electricity tariffs to ensure power utility Zesco becomes self-sustainable.
ERB Director General Engineer Elijah Sichone has emphasized the need for a balanced approach considering both Zesco’s needs and consumer interests.
Engineer Sichone explains that the challenges leading to Zesco’s emergency tariff approval still persist, hence the need for a long-term solution.
He spoke to Phoenix News in an interview.

Just dissolve ZESCO, it has failed completely. Their solution is increasing prices always – what nonsense! That is better, get it off your chest young man. When you keep praising them, they take you for granted, and these are the results. Worse is yet to come.
These people are too greedy and each one of them is getting very wealthy over energy supply.

Very useless and incompetent management at ZESCO. You rush for price increase but you’re completely failing to deliver. Even just a simple time table just to switch on and off you fail. You’re a failed project. We wish many people can go off-grid and leave this ZESCO alone. You’re pathetic.
You lied about the emergency tariff increment that has now become permanent and then you want to increase power. Where’s your integrity? And now you want to increase power, this is hook and crook.
For the life of me, I do not understand why praise singers are condemning ZESCO or ERB. Who do you think gives instructions to them? Who do you really think dictates energy policy in our country? Sometimes, just use common sense to avoid embarrassing yourselves.
