Failed Leadership
Leadership is not Easy
Amb. Emmanuel Mwamba Wrote;
It is clear he has failed. But despite this confession, he doesn’t see it.
The economy is on its knees.
Both local and foreign Debt has risen dramatically.
The cost of living crisis is the worst in 30 years.
The extent and sustained period of Load-shedding and power cuts is the worst in the life of our country.
The dramatic depreciation of Kwacha and the volatile exchange rate market has made the Kwacha consistently one of the worst in the world in many years.
The level and sophistication of corruption is extremely alarming and worrying.
Our national assets, mineral resources and public resources are being pillaged.
The World Bank Group has reported that Zambia is among the world’s poorest countries, and Zambia is now ranked sixth for poverty, with 64.3% of the population living on less than $2.15 a day.
Zambia is simultaneously amongst the poorest and the most unequal countries in the world. In 2022, 64.3 percent of the population – about 12.6 million individuals – was living on less than US$2.15 a day. This level is not only the 6th highest in the world but it is also misaligned with the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita level. In four of the five poorer countries, GDP per capita is between one-quarter and one-half of Zambia’s GDP per capita.
The biggest crisis is not the issues we are facing, but his utter denial. He thinks he has succeeded or is doing very well weathering the storm! He has even a commissioned the nationwide campaign for his re-election!
Accepting a problem is often considered the first step towards resolving it. Acknowledging the problem and understanding its existence is crucial for moving towards a solution.
At the moment, the country can’t move forward with his denial and posture.

Clearly Mr. Mwamba is talking the his PF, the party that almost destroyed this and left in the ICU.
Let me list a few things for his reminder and his supporters who don’t seem to under most of the things.
When PF took over from MMD, they found an external debt of about $1.2 billion with over $3.5 billion in foreign reserves, but left a 12.8 billion and reserves of less than $2.9 billion, they found exchange rate of K3.5 (K3,500 old currency) to 1 dollar left it at 22 to 1 dollar, mealie at K49 per 25Kg but left it at K185, they found copper output 850K tonnes per year but left it at 750K tonnes per year, they found country GDP at over $27 billion, but left it at less than $20 billion, the found economic growth of above 7% per annum but left it at -2.8%, they found fuel at K6.8 per litre but left it at K17. On top of that, they unsustainable accumulated a debt which started to suffocate the economy. Now let’s talk about the government that the man is accusing of failing. For starters, economic growth has gone in to positive from negative his government, and in 2025, it is projected to be among the fastest-growing economies not only in Africa but globally, with over 6.3% growth. The foreign reserves have grown from $2.9 billion to over 4.5 billion, copper output has grown steadily from 750K tons PF left to a projected over 1 million tons in 2025, the unsustainable debt they left has almost been restructured, something they lamentably failed to do. Employment of over 80K civil servants in a space of 3 years, increased CDF from K1.5 million to over K36 million. The list is long for the achievements of this government so far. Of course, there is still a lot of work to be done, but the country is in a far better position than it was under PF.

I think it’s a waste of precious time and energy responding to this deranged fugitive (imbutushi).
@EMC you are indeed right for Sure!! Emanuel Mwamba is not a person to respond. PF DID worst DAMAGE AND THEY WANT to pretend. Further their leader has Left theiin confusion without a SUCCESSOR. VERY SAD INDEED FOR THESE GUYS.
Sata new what he was doing when he chased/fired this former diplomat.
Indeed things were better because Amos Chanda was making most of the decisions. State house had an empty suit on the main seat.
