GOVERNMENT DOWNPLAYS WATER POLLUTION
The government has downplayed the USA Embassy health alert regarding water poisoning by Sino metals in Kitwe saying “no major health complications related to contamination have been recorded this far.”
Minister of Information and Media, Cornelius Mweetwa, told a press briefing that “no cases of acute poisoning have been detected”, stressing that “no death resulting from the pollution incident has been recorded since the pollution occurred.”
