IMAGES OF POPE FRANCIS KISSING THE FEET OF SUDAN POLITICIANS
Leader of the Roman Catholic Church Pope Francis is visiting Africa. His first stop was neighbouring Congo DR where he had a procession and meeting with Bishops in that county.
The Pope left Congo DR this morning and headed to the war torn Sudan.
There is something about Sudan which seems troubling the Catholic Leader, war. He wants to see peace in that county and is passionate about it.
This is shown in the images published by Vatican News today showing Pope Francis make unprecedented and striking gesture of bending down to kiss the feet of politicians to urge them to work for peace.
This was in 2019 when the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir were received in Vatican for a prayer retreat with the leaders of South Sudan’s opposition.
This is how attached Pope Francis is to Sudan and want to see peace.
