Iran  7-Day Plan to Reopen Strait of Hormuz, Puts Decision on Washington

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Tehran has presented the United States with a concrete plan to restore normal navigation through the Strait of Hormuz within seven days.

Under the proposal, Iran would reopen the strategic waterway and resume nuclear negotiations if Washington meets conditions linked to the June memorandum of understanding, including an end to military pressure and sanctions-related restrictions.

Araghchi said the choice now rests with the United States, stressing that Tehran will not accept coercion or threats.

The proposal could become a major diplomatic opening in the escalating US-Iran conflict, with the Strait of Hormuz remaining one of the world’s most strategically important energy chokepoints.
