Iran May Raise Military Readiness After Trump Rejects Hormuz Proposal

Iran may move to increase its military readiness after President Donald Trump rejected Tehran’s proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and resume negotiations.

Iranian military officials have warned that the armed forces are fully prepared for any renewed U.S. attack, while Tehran’s leadership continues to keep both military and diplomatic options open.

The rejection of the seven-day proposal could push Iran to strengthen its defensive posture around the Strait of Hormuz, prepare for possible renewed strikes and increase pressure on U.S. and allied forces in the region.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stressed that Tehran is prepared for a prolonged conflict while remaining open to diplomacy, leaving the next phase of the confrontation dependent on whether Washington and Tehran can narrow their differences.

The situation remains highly fluid, with further military escalation possible if diplomatic efforts fail.
