UNFULFILLED PROMISES, VIOLENCE, LIES AND TRIBALISM CAUSING PEOPLE TO STAY AWAY FROM VOTING

We have observed a serious concerning matter that is critical to our democracy,that of our citizens staying away from voting in all the by elections held across the nation.
This phenomenon is not by accident and it is also not happening by coincidence. Our people across the nation woke up early morning to queue up and vote, they did so because they were promised cheap fuel at K10 per litre, meali meal to be sold at K50 per 25KG bag, fertilizer at K250 per 50KG bag, an end to loadshedding among other things. It is now over three years of the Upnd administration in power, what they promised our people has not been fulfilled, the opposite has happened, there is more hunger today than there was three years ago, the statistics at Zambia Statistics Agency indicate poverty has increased.
Violence and the UPND are inseparable TWINS – The recently held Dilika Ward by election in Chipata District of Eastern Province, exposed President Hichilema’s firmness of repeating his lies that violence is no more.For the record, MALAN ZIMBA katete District Commissioner with upnd thugs in his white land cruiser Prado, whose number plate was removed attacked SP members, and warned that he would sort out SP Provincial Vice secretary John Zulu. David Phiri, SP Youth was left with a deep panga cut in his head, when the matter was reported to Chipata central Police, officers refused to issue medical forms and record the violence carried out by upnd thugs.
So with many cases of upnd violence a cross this Nation, how can a normal President claim elections are held free and fair?
To this day, all known cadres who have been attacking SP camps, including abducting our members have not been arrested and prosecuted, this alone confirms that this government sanctions these evil acts.
With these acts, can you expect people to go and vote knowing very well that Upnd cadres armed with pangas are dotted along the road to attack those with divergent views? Surely no!
It is clear that this administration came to KILL, STEAL and DESTROY! But all those who take this path do not last long in power, they are drunk with power, and their ending will be bad.
For MALAN Zimba DC Katete and upnd eastern province youth chairperson, Lyson Nyirenda, their days are numbered, our members who suffered deep panga cuts will one day demand for justice to be served. For now they can enjoy their limited and temporal freedom, they are destined for prison.
