UPND IS PANICKING – KALABA
… because they have realised that Zambians are frustrated with their policies.
LUSAKA, FEBRUARY, FRIDAY,27, 2026 [SMART EAGLES]
CITIZENS First party President Harry Kalaba says the UPND is panicking as the county draws near to the August 13 general elections because they have realised that Zambians are frustrated with their policies.
Speaking when he featured on One Love Radio in Lusaka this morning, Mr. Kalaba said the UPND came into power with a lot of promises which they have failed to fulfill.
He said this is the reason Zambians are resolved to remove them from power in the August polls.
Mr. Kalaba adds that his party once it forms Government this year, will do that which is right for the people of Zambia.
“The UPND Government is panicking because they have realised that Zambians are frustrated with their policies. They have not been honest with Zambians. They have lied on so many fronts. When CF forms Government in August this year, we will do that which is right for the people of Zambia. Thanks very much to the people of Zambia for the confidence they continue showing in us and we will bring sanity to this country, ” Mr. Kalaba said.
And Mr. Kalaba said after the August 13 elections, CF will help restore small and medium scale businesses that have been shut down as a result of loadshedding adding his government will prioritize constant supply electricity to Zambians.
” For the last four and half years UPND has subjected Zambians to loadsheding and alot of youths have lost jobs, most barbershops, saloons and welding businesses have closed and when we form government, we will compile a list of these youths and see how we can help to resuscitate their businesses, ” Mr. Kalaba said.
And Mr. Kalaba said the ongoing delimitation exercise being carried out by the Electoral Commission of Zambia ECZ will defranchise alot of Zambians who will not know about which constituency to vote from adding that political parties will not also have enough time to sensitize voters.
“ECZ delimitation exercise will make people defranchised. Some people will not know about new constituencies. Our worry as CF is time to go out and tell people about the new constituencies. The UPND has been reckless and insensitive about the problem that our people are going to go through as a result of this exercise,”Mr. Kalaba said.
“We are also going to recall Bill 7 because it was illegally done and it came through the back door and we were manipulated. Anything that does not follow the law should not find itself in our statutes, ” he said.

Kalaba is the best deceiver of himself. Which Zambians are frustrated of free education? Which Zambians are frustrated of student meal allowances? Which Zambians are frustrated of their children sitting on desks in classrooms? Which Zambians are frustrated of new standard Palaces constructed for their Chiefs? Which Zambians are frustrated of increased CDF from 1.6 to 40 million? Which Zambians are frustrated for ending cadrerism? Lawlessness, employing health workers, teachers, soldiers, ZAF, Correctional Services Officers, and many more. Can UPND be panicking with all these achievements? Is it not the opposite, it’s the opposition which is badly panicking because they know that their days are numbered. HH has completely rendered them campaign message less.
Looks talking, panic for what? You’re panicking kalaba
Panicking, in what way? Mr. Kalaba does not make sense to me.
What do you mean by saying you will do that which is right for the people of Zambia? What exactly are you going to do? Load shedding won’t be a factor if the current good rains continue into the next rain season. It won’t be because if your good policies ba Kalaba.
As for funding small scale businesses, that is the surest way of wasting our hard earned financial resources. Are these going to be handouts or loans? Either way it will be a drain on the treasury. If it is handouts where is the money going to come from? If it is loans, you know that we Zambians have a poor attitude to loan repayments. How did the defunct CEEC perform? What is the loan recovery rate for CDF business loans?
These are the questions Mr. Kalaba should be asking before making unrealistic promises.
By the way Mr. Kalaba, make sure you guard your vote. We don’t want to hear excuses of rigging when you lose in August.
Delusional fellow.
Zambians are frustrated with
1. Free education?
2. Increment of social cash transfer for elderly and disabled?
3. Cash for work and 2 & 3 are paid electronically and consistently.
4. Civil servants are being paid on time. Their retirement packages are being paid and accurals cleared?
5. Accured local suppliers are being paid. With dodgy procurements loopholes being sealed.
6. Vulnerable students are being fed at schools
7. Students meal allowances have been reinstated.
8. Debt restructuring has been attained on 95% of debt.
9. Lacal and international debt payments being made rendering the countries credibility and rating to be upgraded.
10. Foriegn reserves blostered and growing with enough foreign currency to meet trade finance to cover more than 90days imports.
11. CDF decentralised to drive development in the constituencies and driven by local stakeholders as opposed to a centralised planned development plan.
12. Public service workers are being employed
13. Due to limitations of our debt obligations and inorder not to stall demand for social services the state has instituted PPP projects in such sectors are Roads and seeks to expand this to other sectors of the economy. This will suppliment the shrink in FDI.
14. Increace in constiituencies in order to enhance service delivery to meet the growing populations and under developed areas of the country. This addresses the issues raised in the last census and growing youth population.
15. Mines and investment in the sector has been revived and expanded with the 2025 target falling short by 10% and attributiable to power constrains.
16. Zesco completed the Kafue north project that had stalled for more than a decade. And made significant repayments to this project and their debts accured prior.
17…should I continue?
Zambia may not be out of the woods. And continuity is essential to ensure that the tranjectory and goals set for its citizens can be attained.
No society is devoid of elements that dont agree with what any regime seeks to attain. Neither is full employment an attainable policy. As such, the current regime in comparision to the opposition has a tangible and attainable plan. Admittedly the administration is sincere to admit where it has faltered as in the Power sector. But that is not by choice. Measure are in place to help mitigate and attain power demand. Invest in this sector and Miniing is not an over night attainment. But tangible measures are in place. The evidence is seen.
Mr. Kalaba….make statements that reflect that you are serious. The outbursts that you make and just you background in government or private sector shows that you make statements that can not be attained nor sustainable. Maybe its time you kept quiet and address the embarassing Iphone scandals that seem to revolve around you. You dont have Zambians at heart when you speak.
I think it was wrongly quoted as it should be
Opposition panicking as new dawn looks likely
To have landslide victory in 2026.
Kalaba, we will call upon Mweetwa, to address you.
