“WE MUST PUT THEM IN THEIR PLACE” — BUDANOV

Ukraine must respond decisively to Russia’s expanding aggression before the Kremlin’s ambitions grow further, Kyrylo Budanov has warned.

“This has happened more than once in the world. And every time the aggressor was not put in his place, his appetites only grew,” he said.

According to Budanov, Russia is following a familiar historical pattern: when aggression is met with hesitation instead of consequences, the aggressor interprets restraint as permission to continue.

Moscow’s rhetoric is also becoming increasingly hostile toward countries beyond Ukraine. “They are moving on to threats against other Western countries, not only Ukraine,” Budanov added.

The warning is clear. Russia’s war against Ukraine cannot be treated as an isolated conflict that will remain safely contained within Ukrainian borders. Moscow is already testing Western resolve through threats, airspace violations, sabotage and other forms of pressure.

Aggression rarely stops because the aggressor becomes satisfied. It stops when continuing becomes too costly.

“We must put them in their place.”
