YANDEX DATA CENTER IN VLADIMIR HALTS OPERATIONS AFTER THREE UKRAINIAN STRIKES
Video circulating online shows three Ukrainian strikes hitting the Yandex data center in Vladimir early Sunday. The facility completely halted operations, according to Yandex. Regional authorities reported a fire at an infrastructure site and evacuated nearby residents. Yandex said no one was injured.
The shutdown has disrupted more than 80 services on Yandex Cloud, including cloud computing, databases and AI tools. Popular Yandex services are also affected, with reports of outages involving the Alice voice assistant, Yandex Music, Telemost, Yandex Home and Yandex Go. Screenshots show app failures in Ufa, Bryansk, Vladivostok, Samara and Kazan.
Three Yandex data centers have now been hit: in Sasovo, Kaluga and Vladimir. Once again, Ukrainian drones reached their target.
