NKANDU LUO’S DEJAVU ON JUNIOR DOCTORS

It’s so unbelievable to see history repeat itself, what happened in 1999 with the Junior Doctors is happening again.

The same reasons the doctors went on strike in 1999 are the same reasons they are striking today.

The PF running mate has been through this experience and she knows what to do and what must not be done.

In 1999 they fired all the doctors, and replaced them with Cuban doctors.

Most of the Zambian doctors went abroad to Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa and never returned.

The public health system in Zambia remained disabled and crippled for a generation, it took two decades to educate and train a new set of doctors.

The PF is making the same mistake MMD made, with arrogance they are calling for doctors to be fired.
If you fire them who will manage the public hospitals?

This is not a complicated issue, just release the money, pay them, and hire the unemployed ones.
This issue is so simple that it can even be resolved tomorrow. -NDC
