The Corrupt Will Be Held to Task

Fellow Zambians, the era of impunity and reckless leadership is over. The courts are waiting, and justice will be served.
We have watched as some of our leaders have abandoned their constituencies, chasing personal gain and lining their pockets with ill-gotten wealth while majority live in poverty.
We must emphasize that, a robust legal system is the backbone of a thriving nation. It fosters investor confidence, promotes good governance, and drives economic growth. Countries with strong, independent judiciaries and clear regulatory frameworks attract investment, protect rights, and ensure accountability.
In contrast, weak legal systems lead to uncertainty and corruption with impunity.
We shall use every Auditor General’s annual report and FIC reports to follow up crimes and bring those involved to book. It is clear from how some members of parliament and some politically exposed and connected individuals abuse the law to cover up their ill-gotten gains while stealing from the poor. We urge all leaders in the country to be accountable and transparent in the way they do business and lead their people.
Fellow leaders, you will soon explain your sudden affluence. No legitimate business or hard work can justify the opulent lifestyles you have adopted. The people are watching, and we will be asking questions.
From dodgy tenders to shady contracts, every transaction done, conflict of interests will be scrutinized and Investigated to ensure transparency and Accountability.
In recent years, we have seen the neglect: communities without water, clinics, good roads, or schools with poor housing facilities for the government workers, while their representatives live in luxury exchanging cars and without even visiting their electorates. This is not leadership; it is betrayal. The precedent is set: we will follow you, even after you leave office.
Dear Zambians, Transparency is coming, and it will be brutal for those who have stolen from the people or have manipulated the system for their own advantage. Clean up your act or face the music. The courts are waiting.this is not a threat but a reality to be fulfilled once government changes.
