Chaminuka Luxury Lodge Owner K!lled
Stelios Shula Sardanis (64) Chief Executive Officer and co-owner of the prominent Chaminuka Luxury Lodge and Game Reserve in Chisamba, has been killed.
Tragically, he was murdered during an armed home invasion at the resort premises in the early hours of Sunday, August 9, 2026
The attack occurred around 1:00 AM to 2:00hrs in the early morning when a group of armed assailants forcibly entered Sardanis’s residence by smashing through a main glass door and breaking into his bedroom.
Central Province Commanding Officer Lemekani Chirwa has confirmed that Chaminuka Stelios Sardanis was killed at the Chaminuka premises last night. More details are expected as information emerges.
Chaminuka Lodge and Nature Reserve, a 10,000-acre luxury wildlife estate and cultural sanctuary located just outside of Lusaka.
Chaminuka is more than just a lodge,It began as the Sardanis family home in 1978 before eventually opening its doors to visitors in 1998. Over the years, it has grown into one of Zambia’s well-known tourism destinations, combining wildlife, nature, African art and hospitality.
