Citizens First (CF) deputy secretary general Dr Mwaba Bota says President Hakainde Hichilema is holding the body of late president Edgar Lungu to ransom.

Why should HH not attend this funeral? This family position is very divisive. If they don’t recognise HH as head of state, should that be the basis to follow their wish? And where is that failure to recognise HH as head of state steaming from? Just bcos HH defeated Lungu in 2021? Come on how can that be upheld by any well meaning Zambian? It doesn’t hold water, no. So HH beat them in 2021 and stopped them from looting or benefiting from public resources, is this the reason we shud agree that HH does not attend the funeral?
This Lungu family did not want HH to be president, wanted him dead long b4 2021, even vowed to return him to prison after Lungu returned power to himself, they hate HH like no man’s business, so should the nation agree with the Lungu family choices which are clearly based on HATRED? No ways.
This woman served as PF appointee in the Lungu administration at the UN.
Would you expect anything serious to come out her mouth? Sometimes even medical Doctors with all their education make useless statements just for political expediancy.
Madam Botha just go back and work in a hospital in some very rural area to pay back for some of the wrong that was done while you were enjoying in New York. Zambians suffered while you appointed to positions you didnt deserve. Hiding in another party is like a leopard trying to change its stripes
Lungu family are making ecl’s soul not welcome in paradise. What will ecl tell God about the confusion he has left on earth? The more this drama continues, the less chances of ecl entering heaven. Imagine if this family were “Jesus Christ ” nobody would be saved in this world. All would perish. The same family wants God’s mercy upon them how? How does that work? If you want mercy upon yourself, show mercy. Otherwise there’s a heavy price to pay for the departed ones. Each one will be judged according to their deeds while living. The dead cannot praise God. Lungu family must repent now and save ecl’s soul. I am surprised all those clergy men who were always with ecl have gone quiet. Stand up and advise Lungu family to do the right thing and not this drama we are seeing.
