An Address To Illegal Miners From The Zambia Army Commander Some Zambians Want.
“My brothers and sisters of Mufumbwe and all those extracting our minerals without permission to do so…. can I get an Amen?” 🙏🏾
Beloved, today I did not come with boots of battle, but with the sandals of repentance. I did not come with a rifle, but with a Bible for correction because the Bible says, ‘Whom the Lord loves, He disciplines!’
Children of the soil, hear me well. Illegal mining is a sin against the land. Yes! The land is crying. The rivers are saying, ‘Enough is enough!’ The forests are speaking in tongues and they are saying, STOP DIGGING WHERE YOU WERE NOT SENT!
I say unto you today:
⛏️Drop the shovel and pick up obedience!
🪚⚒️Drop the machete and pick up the law!
Because the wages of illegal mining… is ARREST!
Can somebody shout “Law and Order!”
Repent, my brothers. Register your mining. Come into the light. For even minerals must be mined decently and in order!
And if you refuse to repent, oh yes my brothers and sisters, the Army will lay hands… not to pray… but to comfort you in your escort back home!
Go in peace.
But if you return to illegal mining…we shall meet again face to face to disagree on the method you seek to use to benefit from the mineral wealth of our land.
