Lungisani Zulu Has Been Elected As The New Law Association Of Zambia

LUNGISANI ZULU has been elected as the new Law Association of Zambia -LAZ- President, taking over from ABYUDI SHONGA.
The results announced in the early hours of today, put Mr. ZULU ahead of his two competitors; SOKWANI CHILEMBO and GREGORY GORNHILL.


And NGOSA MULENGA-SIMACHELA has scooped the position of LAZ Vice President.
Chief Justice MUMBA MALILA, who was the guest of honour at the LAZ Gala, has appealed to the new LAZ Council to ensure the issue of law reforms is taken seriously.

Here is a brief about Lungisani.

Mr. Lungisani Zulu holds a Master of Laws Degree (LLM) in International Commercial Law from the Ivy League’s Cornell University School of Law, New York and a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of Zambia (UNZA) and is an Advocate of the High Court of Judicature for Zambia with audience before the Court of Appeal, Constitutional Court and Supreme Court of Zambia and is also a Commissioner for Oaths.

He is a Zambian legal practitioner with 10 years standing on the Roll of Legal Practitioners, having celebrated and rejoiced his practiced at Messrs Tembo Ngulube & Associates, as an Associate Partner while serving as a Lecturer at the University of Zambia’s School of Law Faculty and subsequently took up the role of Senior Legal Counsel at the Bank of Zambia, the country’s Central Bank, thereby acquiring vast experience in banking regulation, banking and finance, In-House Board advisory, cooperate governance and regulatory matters related to the financial sector and other cross-cutting issues.

Mr. Lungisani Zulu is a member of the Lands Tribunal, Listing Committee of the Lusaka Securities Exchange (LUSE) which is the country’s premier capital market and also a dignified member of the Council of the Law Association of Zambia.
