Reject UPND ploy to change presidential term SP
ZAMBIANS must denounce, resist and reject plans by the UPND government to amend the republican constitution and extend the term of office of the republican President from the current five years to seven years because the Hakainde Hichilema led government does not deserve to go beyond 2026 as it has exhibited gross incompetence and rampant corruption, the Socialist Party (SP) has said.
SP Copperbelt chairman Brian Chirambo said the UPND government has not only exhibited gross incompetence and rampant corruption, but has also shown that it has no direction.

Sir, your utterances now don’t make sense to the hearers or readers. We the Zambians that you are warning are not aware of any such plans by the ND government to change the presidential term. That plan is only known by you and the agony is that you don’t even have an MP in Parliament. Just concentrate on building your party, 2026 is around the corner, you will start crying again, ati Hichilema lied, your friend is busy giving us inspiring messages and you are busy telling us irrelevances, whom do you think can vote for you?
Does Mr. Mmembe ever get tired of fabricating stories? Everyday it’s a new fabricated story which don’t make sense even to himself. Just to mention a few stories he made up, claimed a statehouse staffer ran away with $5m during the time of the gold scandal but up to now he has never mentioned the name of the said individual. He also claimed that president Felix Tshesekedi paid leaders in Southern Africa to keep silent over the happenings in DRC which don’t make sense to even a toddler. The problem with Mr. Mmembe is that he still thinks people are still uniformed like in the past like in the past were he could mislead them with his defunct post newspaper but unfortunately for him, people are now very informed and can make sound judgment for themselves without someone misleading them with fabricated stories like he continues to do endlessly.
These are stories of what KK used to call “little frightened men”.
Of course it won’t happen. Who will allow Hichilema to do that? Hichilema is not even popular , which people want him for that long in state house. I think he’s taking Zambians for granted! Normal Zambians will not allow that to happen. Only abnormal Zambians want this suffering Hichilema and Upnd have brought on to Zambians continue in the country! Somebody close to Hichilema should advise that he has messed up Zambians. Most Zambians are are sleeping hungry!
