HH NOT INTERESTED IN EXTENDING TERM – KASUNE
Government has refuted claims suggesting that President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA intends to extend his term in office.
Justice Minister PRINCESS KASUNE says the reports are misleading interpretations of the President’s speech during the official opening of the 4th Session of the 13th National Assembly on September 13, 2024.
Ms. KASUNE explains that the President’s remarks were intended to highlight issues related to the cost and administrative burden of repeated elections.
She told journalists that there has been a deliberate scheme by certain individuals to mislead the public regarding the President’s pronouncements.
Ms. KASUNE said government remains dedicated to ensuring that any constitutional changes reflect broad based consensus and are in line with democratic principles.
Basa kaka! What’s wrong with UPND media. This is an issue where you need the heavy weights like Jack Mwiimbu, Cornelius Mweetwa, Shakalima, Haimbe, Elijah Muchima, etc taking turns defending HH.
Now they leave it to a small girl Kasune that’s essentially a non entity in terms of politics. Surely we can do better. Politics is not a child’s play. We need to be serious. Even useless academics like Sangwa are not taking advantage and insulting or publicly disrespecting HH as we don’t have UPND Youths! Get that useless mosquito out, he’s tired and not adding any value. Bruce from NW can do better as a Youth Chair! Surely UPND needs serious reorganisation.
The UPND media is very weak. It cannot be compared to the PF media when PF was ruling. Hate them or love them people like Hon. Sunday Chanda and Mr. Anthonio Mwanza were very effective communicators. The UPND Media team is very comfortable and resting on its laurels. Maybe it is made up of people that are untouchable. Otherwise no-nonsense party presidents like the late KK or the late LPM would have disbanded or replaced the whole team a long time ago.
That’s why I celebrated when Winter Kabimba said he is joining HH team, I thought Mweetwa would give him his position so that Winter together with Kawana can try to shut up these Pf chaps who try to mislead people. Mweetwa and Nkombo am really shocked how they have become soon quiet.
Winter should be appointed something something so that when he talks, people should not disturb him by saying he is looking for a job.
Upnd media is very irritating. Bakateka, just bring Dora siliya to openly put the PF chaps were they belong. Winter should go to home affairs
