An Open Letter to the U.S. Ambassador in Zambia
14/09/2025
Your Excellency,
The people of Zambia are deeply disturbed by the pattern of threats and veiled intimidation coming from your office.
It is both hypocritical and contrary to international norms for the United States to lecture Zambia on issues of law and order while your own country unapologetically enforces its sovereignty through mass deportations, detentions, and restrictive immigration policies.
Let us be clear: Zambia is a sovereign state. Article 2(1) of the United Nations Charter affirms the principle of the sovereign equality of all its members. This means Zambia has the same rights and responsibilities as the United States in enforcing its laws without foreign interference.
Furthermore, Article 2(7) of the Charter prohibits intervention in matters that are essentially within the domestic jurisdiction of any state. By threatening Zambia for taking lawful measures to maintain order, your actions amount to a violation of this fundamental principle.
The Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (1961) is also unambiguous: diplomats are obliged to respect the laws and regulations of the receiving state (Article 41) and are expressly prohibited from interfering in its internal affairs. An ambassador’s duty is to represent their country while fostering mutual respect, not to undermine the host nation’s sovereignty with public threats or political interference.
The United States cannot continue to demand respect abroad while disregarding the very international laws it helped craft. If deporting individuals suspected of crimes is acceptable within America, then Zambia equally reserves the right to enforce its laws and protect its citizens. Anything less is not diplomacy it is double standards.

The United States is on record for taking extreme actions, even killing foreign nationals on mere suspicion, as in the case of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani. If America can justify such measures in the name of national security, then Zambia equally has the right to enforce its laws especially against individuals who threaten public order or attempt to invade the rights of others, such as through abduction threats.
Zambia will not be lectured into submission. Our nation values international cooperation, but such cooperation must be rooted in mutual respect, not coercion. The dignity of our people and the integrity of our laws are not negotiable.
Yours firmly,
Sikaile C Sikaile

The list is growing, ever growing
We have laws in Zambia and if Laws were broken, then the law takes course. If during pf rule of terror people thought they were untouchable, then this is what you have . That number will continue to increase because some Zambians think they are more rights than others. Break the law and you will be next on the list.
The list is for people who are alive. Have you looked at the number of Zambians killed by your evil regime?
Is anyone on the list innocent of the crimes they were convicted of? If so, then you have point. If not, why do we have laws if they are not used for those break them? Are you saying in the US people who break the law are left scottfree? What kind reasoning do you use surely for supporting wrong things? This is why right thinking Zambians don’t want to support PF because you support lawlessness.
It’s like you’ve a……deficiency.
You’ve rightly listed offenses committed by the PF politicians during their tenure because they were untouchable they were off the hook.
Witnessed the burning of the UPND pickup, it was terrible, amok violence by PF, totally deadly also The Mulobezi freelance shooting they were off the hook. These are same characters who have a very old wise saying; “umulandu taubola.” Today they are pointing fingers at UPND MPs warning them of arrests when they leave office in 2026 (if ever) some will be reported to The Hague. As usual to them they will do this without looking over your shoulders like you’re doing now. So, who ever this nkuku is he is singing a repeatable chorus. ALL THE LISTED ARE OFFENDERS AND BY LAW PUNISHABLE aah aah! you have even listed the offenses then why complain? Shouldn’t they be prosecuted?
America leave us in peace the way you stopped us giving us ARVS you thought we will beg for you other countries they have come to help us.Like in Zambia which project is being done by American apart from talking nonsense all the time?!!??All the countries are your enemies.
America is another shit country all the time threatening other countries,if you are a good country why did you cleared that person who fire a gun on Trump during the compaign?????? You are busy killing people allover the world.
The list can actually describe how notorious and indecent the previous government was period
Exactly Bro” it was a terrible gang of politicians.
I don’t know why this Mr Nkuku man is complaining about when he even knows the punishable offenses the PF political criminals committed.
They were a terrible gang. Untouchable.
Look at the list!
Thanks to Mr Nkuku man for giving us the list and reminding us of how notorious PF politicians were.
They deserve to be where they are ti day.
The pride and arrogance of the American Ambassador is nauseating. His ill informed superiority complex is destroying the good relationship between Zambia and America. What good has he done to promote this relationship since he assumed duties other than evil. He even engages in outright lies without shame and records are there. Under his watch, PEPFER has been terminated because of his malicious reports. Yet, PEPFER was the pride of America as it has saved millions of lives and rebuilt ruined families, but the man has destroyed it without any remorse. There are better Americans who are more amenable to the cause of Zambia who could replace him. Probably even the Benguela Railway is not moving forward because he hates to see it happen. There are people who just don’t like you in life and pretending that you can win their favour is not the answer. I believe it is a blessing when you allow such people to go out of your life, you lose nothing but rather gain. Zambia must just accept the truth and let go of this pretentious so called ambassador, since it is clear he is not for our best interest. Unfriendly friend like Judas.
That is over reacting.
Trump’s order is against WRONGFUL DETENTION.
This woman has been arrested for violating one of Zambian’s laws. There is nothing wrong with that position. Let her answer in court.
