BOY COMMITS SUICÍDE OVER K2
AN 11-year-old boy of Kasempa District has committed suicide for not being given a K2 to buy ice blocks as a way of celebrating Zambia’s 59th Independence.
North-Western Province Commanding Police Officer, Dennis Moola, says the incident was reported by mother to the deceased, Mildred Musaka, from Mpungu area.
Moola explains that the late hanged himself using a rope which he tied to the roof pillar, with Police Officers who visited the scene confirming the development.
He narrates that the deceased had asked for a K2 from his grandmother and when she indicated she had no money, the boy sneaked quietly into the house angered and hanged himself.
Moola says no foul play is suspected, with the corpse of the deceased deposited at Mukinge Mission Hospital Mortuary awaiting burial.
