The marriage was dissolved upon learning that she passed to grade 10 and that she was getting married to a 44 year old man ,who was has already got two wives and a member of the John Marange apostolic church ,which allows poligamy , Herself looking very young though available documents shows she was born in 2003 and she’s even pregnant.
Relying on the education Act ….we couldn’t allow the future of this girl to go to worst ,,even if her parents who are members of the same church …had even charged k2500 ,we couldn’t allow such a marriage to take place and thus the marriage being dissolved henceforth, the man to be expelled from the chiefdom but take full responsibility for the pregnancy ,and the Church being warned never to allow marriages that disturb school children ie child marriages.
The church agreed and signed with us an agreement to the school that they will buy all needed school requirements for the girl and come Monday 14th February 2022 ,the girl will be in class, grade 10, at Chankhanga School. Thanking my team at the secretariat for digging out the hidden information in order to save the girl .
