Don’t distract priests with sexual advances, Bishop tells Catholic women

CATHOLIC Archdiocese of Ndola chief shepherd Benjamin Phiri has advised congregants to desist from distracting priests from their calling by seeking intimate relationships with them.

Archbishop Phiri says it is wrong for the lay faithful to target religious people in convents and priesthood when there are many people out there whom they can choose partners from.

Bishop Phiri said he gets saddened when priests abandon their vocations because of distractions from some congregants.

  1. A very mysogynistic statement.from an educated religious leader.
Reflect on what you have written.
So the priests are absolved from yielding to temptation.
    Archbishop really!!!

  2. Don’t blame ma women bambo. Some priests attract the women naturally and not intentionally and women also resprocate naturally. The principle or doctrine of celebacy may not be easy for both women and the priests. It happened in the garden of Eden and it all started from there. It may be acceptable to make amendments.

  3. As they say…”It takes two to dance the Tango” stop blaming women. Besides Priests by their calling need to held at higher standard…
