IT’S A LIE THAT CHRISTIANS SHOULDN’T BE IN POLITICS – NEVERS

There’s a long-standing notion that politics is a dirty game, so much so that when clergymen enter the political arena, they too are considered tainted.
But MMD president Dr Nevers Mumba disagrees. He believes it is illogical to call for leadership rooted in integrity and morality, while simultaneously discouraging people of faith and principle from entering politics.
“Someone started the lie that Christians shouldn’t be in politics,” Dr Mumba said during a live broadcast on Zambia Blog Talk Radio (ZBTR) as he previewed his upcoming book, In Pursuit of Freedom.

It is sad to hear that politicians belong to the devil,then who should rule here on earth?
Am surprised that this empty head is producing a book on Freedom. He is Not an Authority on Freedom..His entire life hasn’t been about Freedom.
He should have written a book on How to Survive as a Mushanina Bwali in Politics..the case of Nervous Mumba. He is an Authority on the Art of Bootlicking and dancing for Nshima. It could have been a Best Seller.
How can an opinion be a lie? As it happens, Christians are already in politics and not making much of a difference.
Reading the comments above I can not help but reiterate why we can not comment with out insulting or berate. State your case or point of you.
But maybe my point on the article is that the bible states that you can not serve two masters. Yes, we have Christians who are Politicians but how often do those “so called” come into conflict between the things of the world and the word of God. “Light and darkness dont mix”.
I would further say to the clergy; Mr. Mumba; if he considers himself a man of the cloth. The message of salvation is very clear. Yes, you are SUPPOSE to be the moral campus for us. Stick to that role. We have found our clergy wanting to tell government how to do their work. As I can stand before a congregation and spread the word of God; other than cite parts thereof.
Neither can I declare to know the Law; as am not a Lawyer.
A few days ago we saw how misleading the Bishops association claim to know better by giving the Head of State Advice. Did they cite the law? Yet, the Head of State cited the basis of his position by citing the law. A basis on which he is appointed and serves the state. So one would ask. On what basis do our Bishops speak? Cause they hardly know their place and now seem to want to be experts on things other than salvation to which they are trained and ordained.
Sorry meant to say..”As I can NOT stand before a congregation and spread the word of God; other than cite parts thereof”. Its not my fortè. My training and my sight into religion is limited.
I have never seen anyone dance for nshima the way the fallen angel does. Even is even putting in overtime. He has even started defending Freemasonry. What an embarrassment to his family and his people.
