NDC LAUNCHES THE K10 CAMPAIGN

The National Democratic Congress, NDC, has launched the K10 campaign for its members and supporters to help raise money for the party.
The party had announced the desire to embark on the K10 Campaign a few months ago in order to engage its members and sympathisers in Zambia and abroad. Finally, the party is now able to announce that the campaign is officially on.
The NDC party President Ms. Saboi Imboela said that it is important for members and other supporters or sympathisers to commit and continue to support the party financially as this is the only way the party could have money to mobilise and reach out to all corners of the country.
‘Members, supporters and sympathisers have been very good at contributing to the party when there is a need, but we want to make fundraising a permanent activity. We cannot mobilise the party without resources, so the support of the members towards their party will make the party grow bigger and better in all parts of the country,’ the NDC President said.
‘Obama had the one dollar Campaign, Malema has the R10 Campaign and UPND had the K250 Challenge where members and other supporters where contributing K250 per month. That’s what strengthens political parties. You cannot call yourself a real member of the NDC if you fail to contribute as little as K10,’ Ms. Imboela said.
President Imboela emphasised that the K10 was the minimum that anyone willing to make a contribution could make because they were free to contribute whatever amount they wanted.
