NEVER ATTEMPT TO STEAL CHARCOAL BEING SOLD BY THE ROADSIDE BUT UNATTENDED TO

There were two gentlemen travelling from Nakonde to Lusaka in a Canter. Around 17hrs when they had reached somewhere near Chinsali, they found charcoal being sold on the road side, when they stopped, they discovered that the charcoal was unattended to although the price of the commodity was written on a cut piece of card board.

They called out “odi! odi!” but not one came. In their intelligence, and without leaving any money, they saw an opportunity. They carried two bags of charcoal into their light truck and off they went. Soon the sun set and they kept driving to their destination, even overtaking vehicles, passing check points and smaller settlements.

To their surprise, the sun started to rise while they were still on the road, and at first light, they witnessed a miracle. The driver heard a soft tap on his window, he ‘stopped’ to see who had tapped on the window and saw a man standing outside the vehicle. The man extended his hand and said “impiya iya malasha yama.”

The two gentlemen were shocked, and like that was not enough, when they looked around they discovered that they had not moved an inch from the place where they loaded the charcoal into their vehicle.
