He however called on the police unit to remain resolute in fighting the evolving crime by embracing modern technology. He further urged the men in uniform to remain Discipline and maintain ethical standards while performing their duties.

This demand is a reflection that those that lead our public offices dont stop to apply themselves in their work.
More labour is not the only solution more so when its very apparent that the treasury has linited resources.
Are the current resources being applied effectively?
Just this week, the British envoy told us that they would no longer fund our education and health sector.
Dingani Banda, ZRA DG cautioned us and his staff on the need to effectively collect taxes, fees and levies. Why?
If donor support is being withdrawn. Treasury needs the money from taxes levies and fees to pay for the Kalobas PF got. The loans that we have gotten in better terms to pay the PF Kalobas and sustain alot of the public amenties that we enjoy and allow our children to have a basic education.
Public service are consumptive. They generate services or goods that are non economic.
Unless we grow the private sector unless we all start being productive. The taxes fees and levies will not be enough to sustain a growing need for a bigger public service.
So instead of making demand to expand the public service. How about making the public service more effective. Instead of the public service offers borrowing and living beyond their means. How about they be exemplarary in their conduct and they way they manage their personal resources.
A hard but sad truth about us is that we want to pretend we can afford what we can and when we are told we cant afford we want to use the vote as leverage or vote the devil as we did of the last regime.
Think of the treasury the way you think of your salary or income. It just doesnt balloon from the sky. Its earned. It comes from somewhere when you understand where it comes from…you will appreciate the constrains and use it effectively
