RONALD LAMOLA RECEIVES PRAISE FOR SPEAKING ON BEHALF OF THE ENTIRE AFRICAN CONTINENT AT THE UNITED NATIONS AS HE CALLS FOR AFRICA TO BENEFIT FROM ITS MINERAL WEALTH, EMPOWER ITS YOUTH AND TAKE A LEADING ROLE IN SHAPING THE FUTURE OF THE GLOBAL ECONOMY

South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola, has been receiving praise from many Africans after delivering a speech at the United Nations highlighting Africa’s vast mineral resources, youthful population and growing potential in innovation and technology.

Speaking at the UN, Lamola said Africa possesses some of the world’s largest reserves of critical minerals, resources that are becoming increasingly important for artificial intelligence, renewable energy and advanced manufacturing. He argued that these resources should help drive development across the continent and ensure that Africans benefit more from their own natural wealth.

Lamola also emphasized the importance of investing in young people, research and innovation, saying Africa has the potential to play a much bigger role in the global economy if its opportunities are fully utilized. His remarks have sparked discussion across the continent, with many welcoming his call for Africa to speak with a stronger and more united voice on the world stage.
