SAMUEL BANDA OPPOSES PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’S CLAIM THAT UPND HAS ENDED LOAD SHEDDING
Advocates for National Democracy and Develoment (ANDD) are dismayed by President Hakainde Hichilema’s claims that his administration has managed to end load shedding in less than a year.
ANDD Executive Director, Samuel Banda says It is not the UPND who have managed to end load shedding but the previous government under former president, Mr Edgar Lungu who tirelessly worked to turn the situation around.
He says records are there on how the PF administration put a lot of power generation interventions to bring load shedding to an end.
He has since urged the UPND to play politics of integrity and not deception, adding that what Zambians need is tangible develoment and not unsubstantiated perceptions.
Mr Banda has further called on the UPND to acknowledge what the PF did and build from that as opposed to creating a narrative that no development was recorded under the previous government.
“Let’s not play politics of deception but that of truth, sincerity and development” Mr Banda urged”
