PATRIOTIC Front PF Member of the Central Committee Hon Stephen Kampyongo has congratulated the Constitutional Court of Zambia for passing fair judgement in the Edgar Lungu eligibility case brought forth by Embattled Lusaka Lawyer John Sangwa and others.
Speaking in an interview with Smart Eagles in Lusaka, Hon Kampyongo said that the judgment of the constitutional court should be respect by all who had queries on the matter just disposed off.
Hon Kampyongo who is immediate past Minister of Home Affairs Minister also congratulated members of the ruling party PF for their patience during the time that the court was adjudicating over the matter.
He said that unlike others who pride on violence and strife during such times when the courts are seating on such very important matters, PF has been patient with utmost respect for the rule of law.
And Hon Kampyongo has urged embattled Lusaka Lawyer John Sangwa and his Cohorts to now openly join the political arena and take to campaign for their presidential candidate to the Zambian people as opposed to raising non issues in courts of law.
He said that Sangwa and friends should just accept that Hakainde Hichilema is a political reject who has been rejected by the Zambian people a record 5 times at the presidential ballot.
Meanwhile Hon Kampyongo who is formerly PF Chairman for Security has expressed happiness that the Ministry of Home Affairs and Zambia Police are committed to maintaining sanity in the country
He has since urged them to ensure that they investigate and arrest the UPND perpetrators of the Mandevu Violence that left several privately owned property destroyed recently.
He said that violence should have no space in the political landscape, stating that it is based on nationalist ideas that Zambians electe leaders and not violence as the opposition UPND seems to think.
Hon Kampyongo has since called for calm amongst PF supporters Countrywide and engage in violence free campaigns.
