Tutwa Ngulube maintains “nonsense” remark to cops…in defence of President Edgar Lungu and family

Tutwa Ngulube has maintained the “nonsense” remarks he made when police barricaded the motorcade of former President Edgar Lungu and spouse Mrs Esther Lungu on Tuesday as they reported for questioning at the DEC headquarters in Lusaka´s Ridgeway area.
Ngulube described as “shameful and disrespectful” the fact that police stood by and watched uncontrollable UPND cadres shake and hit the car transporting the sixth President of Zambia H.E Lungu as he escorted his wife the former first lady, without offering any form of protection in full view of camera´s in a video that has gone viral.
What most observers recall about the Tuesday event is Ngulube, a former PF law maker for Kabwe approaching a Zambia police officer and asking, “who is in charge of this nonsense?”.
The form legislator said it was sad to watch UPND cadres’ pound on the car carrying President Lungu and spouse for questioning at DEC with fists while heckling disrespectful insults onto the former Commander in Chief of Zambia in full view of Zambia police who did nothing hence the reason, he described the event as “nonsense”.
Ngulube was speaking during a live Lusaka Music Radio (LMR) interview with Wiseman Zulu recently as he also cautioned Zambians, the opposition especially, to remember that “the disrespect and scorn they are pouring on President Lungu and family might just follow President Hakainde Hichilema,” after loses office.
The former Kabwe MP said Zambians must wake up to the fact that the UPND under President Hichilema is currently engaged in a “proxy war” against predecessor H.E Edgar Lungu and family.
“If you (HH) can’t fight Edgar Lungu for some reason, you go for his daughter Tasila, son Daliso and eventually his wife madam Esther Lungu,” Ngulube said, “This is nothing, but a proxy war aimed at President Lungu by Bally.”
Ngulube joins others such as PF leader Given Lubinda, Amb. Emmanuel Mwamba, Nickson Chilangwa, Sean Tembo and Chilufya Tayali to mention but a few that have called the fight against graft by Hichilema as a mere fight against the PF.
Ngulube also laughed at the fact that there seems to be a disconnect in communication between Hichilema and his officers, “Bally says don’t arrest until you investigate his police arrests before investigating…he says don’t seize property until you establish its from proceeds of crime, they go ahead and seize. There´s a broken link between Bally and his officers.”
Ngulube concluded with an earned appeal to Bally to “cage” his cadres and ensure that the respect of a former head of state that president Lungu is entitled to is accorded to him because Hichilema will find himself in a similar dilemma soon where he is heckled and booed if he doesn’t break the chain.
Zambians, international observers, and others are shocked at the Mary Chirwa led DEC is probing and has seized 15 apartments belonging to Mrs Lungu whose husband was a President of Zambia for seven years while ordinary people in Zambia own beyond 100 apartments without question.
Mrs Lungu´s lawyer Makebi Zulu has since called the probe and seizure of Mrs Lungu´s property as a “witch hunt” as the entire continent watches Zambian ´democracy´ unfold.
Of special note according to international observers is that President gave up a right to contest the presidency in the constitutional court even when a provincial chairman was killed in cold blood by UPND carder and poll monitors chased away from polling stations in Hichilema´s regional strongholds.
