VUBWI COUPLE ATTACKED BY A GROUP OF NYAU DANCERS
Police in Vubwi District have instituted investigations on a group of suspected Nyau dancers that allegedly attacked a couple by damaging their solar panel valued at 890 Kwacha.
The suspected Nyau dancers further wanted to bring the couples house down.
Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Limpo Liywalii told Breeze FM News that the incident occurred on Tuesday around 15 hours at Mzigawa village.
The Police Commanding Officer explained that the victim Agatha Phiri aged 24 of Mzigawa area in Chief Pembamoyo’s area and also a DAPP Officer at Mzigawa Clinic reported that her house was attacked by 24 Nyau dancers while she and her husband Innocent Banda aged 29 were inside the house.
Mr. Liywalii who didn’t reveal further details over the matter says the suspects damaged one solar panel valued at 890 Kwacha as they were also trying to bring the house down.
He stated that no arrest has been made so far.
But details reaching the news desk indicates territory fights between Malawian nationals and Zambians.
