The ruling Patriotic Front and opposition Rainbow Party have signed a memorandum of understanding that will see the two political parties work together ahead of the august 12 general election.

Speaking during the signing ceremony in Lusaka today, Rainbow Party Deputy Secretary General Robert Chikwelete disclosed that the decision was arrived at following the resolutions made at a meeting by the central committee of the rainbow party and it’s provincial structures.

Mr. Chikwelete says the partnership means well as the party wants the current government to continue with the development agenda.

He has since directed all rainbow party members to support and join the pf in their campaigns ahead of the august general elections.

And Patriotic Front Member of the Central Committee Kebby Mbewe who signed on behalf of the ruling party urged PF members to embrace the new partnership and make use of them to increase membership.
