While the Anti- Corruption Commission ACC is prosecuting the owners of the infamous 48 properties which were later known as 51, some unknown people have encroached on two of the said properties in Lusaka’s Chalala area.
The encroached properties had been undeveloped when the ACC seized them and the matter is ongoing in the Economic and Financial Crimes Court.
The discovery has shocked land developer Lombe Bwalya who has expressed ignorance on the matter.
During a scene visit by the court, Mr. Bwalya who is currently a state witness in the ongoing case of the 51 houses disclosed that he does not know the person or people who have started building structures on the said properties.
In this matter, Charles Mukomena Loyana and his wife Susan are facing charges of concealing and acquiring 48 Houses whose number rose to 51 that are valued at K37 million.
Their matter is before the Economic and Financial Crimes Court presided by Lusaka Magistrate Faides Hamaundu.
