CZECH REPUBLIC TO ESTABLISH DRUG PLANT
The Czech Republic wants to set up a centre of excellence in health in Zambia as well as a drug manufacturing plant.
The revelations were made when a delegation from the Czech Republic led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Tlapa accompanied by 12 manufacturing companies in health from that country called on President Hakainde Hichilema on Tuesday.
The interest to invest follows the recently held European Union (EU)- Zambia Business Forum in Lusaka, and the President’s trip to Brussels, Belgium, last week, where he addressed the EU Parliament.
“According to the Czech Republic delegation, their government will support Zambia to set up a centre of excellence in health while their businesses want to set up drug manufacturing plants as joint ventures .
