PF MPS, MAYORS WANT MASS RESIGNATIONS

9

Patriotic Front (PF) Members of Parliament, Mayors, Council Chairpersons and Councilors across the country have warned of mass resignations following Speaker of the National Assembly brutal decision to declare the seats of nine parliamentarians belonging to the former ruling party vacant.

Raphael Nakacinda, the PF secretary general has disclosed that the PF MPs, Mayors, Council Chairpersons and Councillors have threated to resign to force President Hichilema call for early elections as they can no longer stand the dictatorship, tribalism, break down of the rule of law among many other governance transgressions the UPND has been committing.

Should all the PF MPs resign from Parliament and collapse the quorum of the House, Parliament would have to be dissolved and that would entail the collapse of government and President Hichilema would have to be forced to call for early elections.

  1. That’s the only way forward. Hakainde , his executive, legislature and Judiciary are a disgrace . Let all MPs, Mayors, Councillors resign enmasse..and bring Hakainde down.

    • This has come from Edgar Lungu himself. He knows that the court cases his family members face are water-tight. The only way to stop these court cases is to cause the HH administration to fall by persuading all PF MPs and councillors to resign en masse. He has been assured by some clergymen in the Catholic Church that he will win any ensuing early elections. The only reason they have not resigned already is that ECL is not having much luck in his effort to persuade PF members holding elected positions to resign.

  2. My question is : what are PF councilors, mayor etc still doing is the UPND led government? They are infact late, they ought to have resigned together with their master criminal in 2021. So, no news here, NEXT!

  3. Says he who has never gone through an election; he has only ever been appointed. They would not dare as most of them know they would not be re-elected. They have a lot more to lose by resigning.

  4. This is a wonderful thought after negotiations. This boy Namuchende is putting the last nail on pfools coffin. Kaunda did the same in 1996 and unip boycotted general elections and never participated. Where is unip today? It looks like aba bantu they are headless. Mwaice do it fastele bwangu dissolve all mps naba councillor mailo pakachello and you will see for yourself. We need to Bury pf fast fast you are a nuisance party destroying Zambia.

  5. Better to amend the constitution now to stop the madness!
Any political party and candidate who causes a bye-election should be made to refund the money spent on their election including monies earned while in office and to be prosecuted, imprisoned for Economic crimes and barred from contesting future elections!
There will be no general elections should fools choose give up their seats! Only Bye-elections will be held!
Forget about anything called Constitutional crisis! It won’t happen!
    Democracy is killing Africa!
Better to to rule with Iron fists for the sake of progress!
