COPPER QUEENS’ OLYMPIC JOURNEY ENDS WITH THIRD CONSECUTIVE DEFEAT

The Zambia Women’s National Football Team, saw their Paris 2024 Olympic journey come to a close after suffering their third consecutive defeat, this time at the hands of Germany.

After earlier losses to USA 3-0 and Australia 6-5, the team was unable to bounce back and fell 4-1 to a strong German side .

Despite the disappointing outcome, the Copper Queens’ participation in the Olympics was a historic achievement and a testament to the growth and development of women’s football in Zambia.

However, two Zambian players shone brightly in the tournament. Babra Banda scored four goals in just three games, showcasing her skill and prowess on the international stage.

Racheal Kundananji also impressed, netting two goals and demonstrating her ability to perform under pressure.

The duo’s outstanding performances have been a highlight of the Copper Queens’ Olympic journey.

  1. What historic achievement do you mean here ; losing 3-0,6-5,4-1 ?I don’t understand the meaning of historic achievement in this situation we are right now .
