HICHILEMA RISKS LOSING HIS PERSONAL ASSETS BY DECLARING HIS SALARY AS K53,000, MSONI WARNS

Mr Hichilema’s lamentations on his K53,000 Salary per month (US 2,100) is shocking and absolutely troubling, leading to a few questions;
Exactly what other activities is Mr Hichilema doing in that office to survive or to earn a living?
it is not entirely unreasonable to ask Mr Hichilema on why he should insist on staying in a job that is underpaying him when he can go and make more money in business activities. or should we assume that this is exactly what he is doing to survive whilst holding public office.
Is Mr Hichilema justifying wrongdoings on account of low incomes?
Since Mr Hichilema has neglected or totally refused to declare his assets, the people of Zambia will assess his earned income on the basis of his current earnings of K53,000 per month for 5 years.
Therefore anything in excess of his current earnings will be considered as proceeds of crime and accordingly forfeited to the state.
In a nutshell it is in his own interest to declare his assets or risk losing out on account of misinformed belligerence.

I think Msoni has become eccentric. HH had wealth before becoming head of state. It can be checked. He had a beautiful house farms cattle etc. He did not reside in his friend s garage no he had community house. Don t we have museums we can retire some people to pls?

Declaring one’s Assets and Networth before assuming public office is the surest way of Safeguarding yourself when your time comes to leave office.
This Act in itself is a mark of honesty and integrity!
It’s mind boggling how some want to downplay the importance of Declaring one’s Assets before assuming public office.
You cannot be a champion of the fight against corruption if you have not declared your personal Assets!
Today, ECL and his family are in and out of court because of not Safeguarding personal Assets through public Declaration!
Failure to declare personal Assets is to be treated as clear evidence of corrupt intentions!
So, Mr HH should be prepared to be in and out of court when he leaves office.
Unfortunately for him, he has too much legal jeopardy to worry about, especially with Deals he has made on Public Assets without Parliament approval!
These issues will lead to forfeiture of personal Assets and lengthy time behind bars!
You mean HH should have declared to you his assets? He declared where he is supposed to declare Boss, not to you.
Many of us wanted President HH to succeed in all aspects including the fight against corruption!
Unfortunately he has already failed for lack of credibility!
When Michael Chilufya Sata made a declaration of his Firearm, many made a mockery of it! We saw his credibility in the fight against corruption. He fired Chitotela and his friend for purchasing Second hand Ambulances.
Sadly he was dying and his useless ministers took advantage and when Sata was gone, that was it.
Declaring one’s Assets is the first step in the fight against corruption!
I have personally gone to request HH’s Declaration of Assets from ECZ using my right to access to information but ECZ refused to avail that information!
Many of our Journalists, especially from News Diggers have also been denied that information.
If UPND cadres say it is there, why is ECZ not publishing it when it’s supposed to be public knowledge?
The truth is he didn’t do so in 2021 because ECL abused his Authority of office to remove it in order to escape public scrutiny over his obscene accumulation of wealth!
It’s a Moral and wise thing to declare one’s Assets!
Perhaps we should go a step further to demand people’s sources of campaign funds! The tax concessions and other benefits some businesses have received have disadvantaged the country because someone needs to pay back their campaign debts!

Actually he has made it easy now to determine ECL’s earnings in the 7yrs in state house. That is in 84 months @ the rate of $2,100 means in total he got $276,400. We just have confirm that according to the constitution, the government can reduce the presidents salary.
Maybe dalitso can now present to court that the 70 cars his father were all below $2,100. Kaya they’ll need serious calculus manje nkani izalula!!!

Brilliant surmising. But the current investigation bodies in the country would nt have the balls to bring up such issues and follow them up. We’ll rely on the next government for justice to take its course. By which time HH will have fled the nation and that new government will be busy working on their own crimes. That’s the way it works with African states. Everyone comes into government to steal

The President’s salary is public knowledge. There is nothing secretive about the president’s and ministers’ salaries.
So ba Msoni, the President has not exposed himself in any way.

This now exposes Edgar Chagwa Lungu for 7 years in office. Let’s calculate his basic salary now : 12×7×53,000=4,452,000 ($2,100×12 month × 7 years= $176,400)
In fact the rate at that time was trading at $17/zmk.
Now what the father gave children and wife out of this salary ????

HH, has been on a salary which he has refused to use instead he has directed it to go to the vulnerable.
We also need to know the average yearly allowance for the president in Zambia. Why getting cheated that ECL had excess to give his family members. It is ECL’s time to shame the devil…Do it???

The president should disclose even allowances paid to him for the trips he makes because 53000 is exclusive of allowances
He should have declared assets before assuming office and those declarations made public
The level of leadership we have is shocking. This is exactly what we don’t need in Zambia i.e. people who think public office is a conduit to becoming rich.
Mediocre thinking coming an ignorant one man political party. His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema before becoming a republican president was already a successful business person with well established portfolio of businesses both local and international.
