TWO QUACK UTH DOCTORS DENY MASQUARADING AS MEDICS
THE admiration of the white coat and shouting tubili kuseni, tutatu muzuba has landed a duo of quack doctors in court for the wrong prescription of medication to patients at the University Teaching Hospital and for fraudulently registering them under the National Health Insurance Scheme.
The two identified as Blessed Robert Tsabasvi a Zimbabwean national aged 25, medical student and a female Zambian Chibwe Kansumba 28 an Environmental Health Officer are facing several counts of personating a public officer, forgery and uttering of false documents.
For masquerading as doctors, the two were slapped with 16 counts by the police out of which Tsabasvi is charged with seven while Kansumba is charged with nine.
In the first count it is alleged that Tsabasvi
but between January 1, 2019 and July 16, 2024 unlawfully and falsely represented himself as a medical doctor from UTH to patients.
In the second count, it is alleged that Tsabasvi with intent to defraud or deceive deceive forged a prescription form from UTH serial no. 2207857 purported to have been genuinely signed by the Registrar when infact not.
In the third count, Tsabasvi between January 1, 2019 t and July 16, 2024 with intent to defraud or deceive uttered a forged prescription form from UTH serial no. 2207857 to Ben.
Allegations in the fourth count are that; Tsabasvion the same dates with intent to defraud or deceive forged a prescription form from UTH file no. 2199068 purported to have been genuinely signed by the Registrar when infact not.
In count five, Tsabasvi with intent to defraud or deceive allegedly uttered a forged prescription form from UTH file no. 2199068 to his co accused Kansumba.
Tsabasvi is in the sixth count with intent to defraud alleged to have forged a NHIMA pre-Authorization form dated July 15, 2024 purported to have been genuinely signed by the Registrar when infact not.
In the seventh count; Tsabasvi with intent to defraud or deceive uttered a forged NHIMA pre-authorization form dated 15th July 15, 2024 to Chimuma Kayombo.
In the eighth count Kansamba is alleged to have posed as a medical doctor to patients at UTH between January 1, 2019 and July 16, 2024 .
Kansamba is in the ninth, eleventh and thirteenth count with intent to deceive or defraud alleged to have forged prescription forms from UTH serial no. 19022206, 19022205 and 2207766 purporting to have been genuinely signed by the SRMD when infact not.
Allegations in count 10, 12 and 14 are that Kansamba with intent to defraud or deceive uttered forged prescriptions form from UTH file no. 19022206 to Theresa Musonda Mpumpa, file no. 19022205 to Rebecca Lungu and file no. 2207766 to Wendy Shaputa.
In count 15, it is alleged that Kansamba with intent to defraud or deceive forged a NHIMA pre-authorization form dated July 15, 2024 purported to have been genuinely signed by the Senior Registrar when infact not.
And in count 16 Kansamba is alleged to have uttered the said form to Rebecca Lungu.
Appearing before magistrate Idah Phiri the duo denied the charges.
Trial commences on October 21.

Why did it take long to fish out the duo from the public space ? How were they acquiring and sourcing those allegedly signed forms from UTH ? What is the status or plight of their victims todate or in future in case they took wrong medication ?
