A Ballistic Expert Daniel Banda has told the Lusaka High Court that 13 police firearms discharged live ammunition in dispersing UPND cadres who unlawfully gathered at police headquarters on December 23rd 2020 when President Hakainde Hichilema appeared for questioning.
Mr. Banda told the court that out of the 13, one fire arm an AK 47 rifle with a serial number EN 2650 discharged the bullet which killed Public Prosecutor Nsama Nsama and UPND supporter, Joseph Kaunda.
In his testimony before Lusaka High Court judge Joshua Banda, the witness says after his analysis, he concluded that the same exhibit fatal bullet extracted from Joseph Kaunda is the same that penetrated and perforated the thorax of Nsama Nsama.
He says this is because the two bodies were also found to be in the same alignment from the source of fire arm which came from the Western direction were most of the spent cartridges were picked from.
In this matter, a Police Officer, Funwell Nyundu aged 25 is facing charges of murder over the killing Mr. Nsama and Mr. Kaunda.
