The body of a Zambian Truck Driver is reported to be decomposing in a Mozambican mortuary as his employers Juba Transport have neglected bringing the body back to Zambia.

Danny Silwimba is said to have been hit by an oncoming vehicle at Guro in that country as he was crossing the road after processing the necessary documents at a check point.

Confirming the development to Phoenix News, Zambia Union of Tanker Drivers and Allied Workers General Secretary Billiat Munengo says after being availed with all the details, management at Juba Transport only sent officers to retrieve the truck from Mozambique and left the body of Mr. Silwimba.

Mr. Munengo has since appealed to government to urgently Direct Juba Transport Proprietor to meet its obligation saying it is a week since the accident happened but the transporter remains unwilling to bring Mr. Silwimba’s body back to the country.

Efforts to get a comment from Juba Transport Director only identified as Moi failed as his phone went unanswered.
