Is it a sign of Alebwelelapo? Bird lands on ECL’s shoulder

ZAMBIA’s sixth President Edgar Lungu on Saturday had rare bird-experience when a little beautiful yellow bird landed on his shoulder while he was chairing the Patriotic Front (PF) central committee meeting in Roma Township.

Out of more than 50 people gathered, the bird had circled around the hall in which the meeting was taking place and finally perched on the left shoulder of former President Lungu.

In utter awe, the central members attending the meeting looked astounded but with glee before Given Lubinda, the PF vice president moved to catch it to check whether it had been injured and in search for an emergency landing.

It was not injured https://epaper.dailynationzambia.com/public/

  1. Vinyanga don’t work out dear. Many have performed a lot suspicions and do what like Egyptians did when Israelites were leaving, they left and thought with droughts, hunger etc in the wilderness, Egyptians followed them up thinking they will go back to Egypt but never worked. PF must not think that Zambians will look back to them because of akabwali pambale, it will never happen

  2. We cannot legislate against superstition. Our best effort lies in teaching everyone the elements of Philosophy.

  3. That’s wishful thinking, moreover we never even saw the bird, maybe it was in Given Lubinda’s pocket and he just put it there, that jacket looks to be an oversized. You know, desperate people can do anything even if it means practicing magic.

  4. And these are the people who want to rule our country, steeped in superstition and deception!

Even if a thousand white doves were to land on Mr. Lungu’s head, I cannot vote for him. I know how destructive he is. I know how divisive he is. I know that he has sticky fingers.

Voting for him would be irresponsible on my part.
