LWIINDI GONDE CEREMONY TO BE MORE MEMORABLE

By Brian Hantuba

Lwiindi Gonde Traditional Ceremony Committee has disclosed plans to host a motorcade for Senior Chief Moonze, Sunday, during which he will sit on a chair mounted on a vehicle and greet his subjects around the Monze Township.

Protocol Chairperson, Roy Hamalyangombe, tells Byta FM News that this is in an effort to raise the profile of the traditional leader, whom he says is one of the most high-profile Chiefs in the province.

Hamalyangombe explains that the motorcade will start from the Chief’s palace at around 15 hours and end at his Gonde Ceremony grounds.

And Lwiindi Gonde Traditional Ceremony Committee Mobilisation Chairperson, Vincent Chimuka, says the ceremony on Monday may see President Hakainde Hichilema hand over his role as patron to another person.
