Doreen Mwamba Catches PF Mukula Thieves: 200 Containers Hidden In The Bush

MUKULA SCAM UNEARTHED BY DOREEN MWAMBA IN CHIPILI

Minister of Community Development Doreen Mwamba has unearthed a scam where a cartel at the Ministry is working with the corrupt PF regime have continued to harvest and export Mukula trees belonging to Zapid farms a department under Ministry of Community Development charged with the responsibility to manage Mukula farms in Chipili district Luapula Province.

During a fact finding mission conducted by the Mrs Mwamba, Saturday, 10 track laden with mukula were discovered at Zapid farms while 7 other tracks were found packed along the road near the farm.

This was a pending forged documentation for Mukula logs to be transported under the pretext they are from Congo.

And the drivers found at the scene explained that they have been waiting for documentation from Congo packed along the road in the bush while the tracks at the Zapid farm awaited for clearance from the Ministry of Lands.

“For the past 2 months the drivers have been waiting for a go ahead from owners of Mukula trees who are connected to the system” They revealed.

And Mrs Mwamba expressed saddeness over the indiscriminating cut down of Mukula trees at the farm.

“This is sad that only a few people from the PF Mukula cartel benefit while the farm remains undeveloped at the expense of the underprivileged.

“We were getting reports that they are illegal activities at the farm, so we came for a fact finding mission but what we have found here has shocked us, over 200 track loads of mukula have been taken from the farm by the past regime without any written approval from cabinet,” explains Mrs Mwamba with shock.

“When as politicians forget that we are here to serve the people and illegality becomes normal it ia dangerous but not with the new dawn government because greed and selfishness have taken over our humanity.

We forget the vulnerable people whom we are supposed to serve, if there was abuse of office in the past government it will end under the leadership of President Hakainde Hichikema.

When the President said we are here to serve and reunite this country it does not mean criminals will get away with it, anyone who commit criminal activities will face the law.” She emphasised.

The Minister has since instructed track drivers both at the sight and on the road side in Chipili District not to make any move until investigations from the relevant authorities are concluded.

AXE FALLS ON MORE ZAMBIAN DIPLOMATS: Hapunda, Naviley, Simwaka among those recalled

0

By Staff Reporter

The ongoing recalls of diplomats is more widespread than announced, including PF cadres Brian Hapunda, Bangwe Naviley and others.

Well placed sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have told Daily Revelation, that some ambassadors made last minute defections to the UPND in the hope that the recalls would not touch them.

Sources said some ambassadors and diplomats are trying to sit on their recalls, to delay their coming to Zambia even when the letters sent to most of them are to return to the country with immediate effect.

“Don’t read too much into what some of those are projecting outward, these recalls have actually hit them hard, with some even attempting to sit on their recalls. For instance what happens is that when a diplomat is recalled, the Embassy must immediately set the recall in motion by collecting quotations from three or four bidding transport companies, and then have those sent to Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Lusaka,” the sources said. “But what has happened is that some ambassadors being bosses of those missions have not set this into motion since their recall letters were sent to them. Immediate effect must be immediate effect, but some of these ambassadors may try to use some maneuvers to stay on a bit, especially using the fact that the UPND is new in power and may not be too familiar with how certain processes are handled.”

Information reaching Daily Revelation indicates that, alongside the others ambassadors whose recalls have been announced, several other recalls have not been announced, including those of renowned PF cadres Hapunda (First Secretary political and administration) and Naviley (Press Secretary, India). Wa Simwaka (Press Secretary, New York) is also said to be coming back home.

“For instance in several missions like Brussels, Belgium for instance, apart from the Ambassador, four other diplomats are coming with him. In places like Ethiopia, Ambassador Emmanuel Mwamba is not the only one coming,” sources said. “And it should also not be lost on you that among these diplomats coming back, one of them came with experts who were due to rig the elections.”

Efforts to speak with Foreign Affairs permanent secretary (administration) Ronald Simwanza failed as his mobile phone went unanswered.

Speaker Nelly Mutti advises Bowman, others to attend seminar on Standing Orders

0

By Oliver Chisenga

SPEAKER of the National Assembly Nelly Mutti has advised members of parliament members of Parliament to attend the “very important training session” organised by the Office of the Clerk on standing orders.

Following redundant points of order from Kabushi PF member of parliament Bowman Lusambo and his Nalolo counterpart Imanda Wamunyima which were not in conformity with Standing Order 134, Mutti guided all MPs to without fail attend the training.

Earlier, Mutti announced to the House of training sessions for all members of parliament on the National Assembly of Zambia’s standing orders 2021.

“Honourable members I wish to announce to the House that the Office of the Clerk has organised training sessions for all members of parliament on the National Assembly of Zambia’s standing orders 2021. The training is aimed at enlightening honourable members of the application of standing orders so as to ensure the smooth conduct of business of the House. The training sessions will be conducted virtually from 10:00 hours to 11:30 hours every Tuesday starting on Tuesday 28th September, 2021,” Mutti said. “The log in credentials will be made available to all honourable members at an appropriate time. Attendance at the training sessions will be on voluntary basis; all honourable members are urged to attend these very important training sessions.”

But soon after the acting leader of government business Ambrose Lufuma stood to indicate business of the House for next week, Lusambo rose on a point of order.

He was immediately asked to clarify whether he was rising on a point of order on a matter of urgency and public importance or not to which
he responded in the affirmative.

“Madam Speaker this week, the President of the United States of America [Joe Biden] was addressing the national General Assembly (sic). When the President was addressing the UN, the President Madam Speaker alluded to the just-ended general elections here in Zambia. In his speech Madam Speaker and I quote ‘The Youths of Zambia demonstrated and they voted out a corrupt regime in Zambia’. Madam Speaker there is the issue of sovereignty…” said Lusambo. “My question this morning is directed to the actingLeader of Government Business in the House. Is it in order to keep quiet when our country is being embarrassed by other leaders in the world? The President of the United States of America is just like any other President. He was elected by the people of America and they have got their own issues to sort out and Zambia has got its own issues to sort out. Madam Speaker, if this is not interfering in our internal affairs of this country, I want the acting Leader of Government Business in the House to tell the nation if the United States of America President was in order to discuss the internal affairs of this country?”

In her response, Mutti reminded Lusambo and others on her ruling two days ago regarding the
issue of raising matters of urgent public importance.

“There is criteria which I stated in my ruling that the issue must be of urgent nature and if steps are not taken to correct it, deaths in form of calamity will result. I have not seen any calamity or loss of life that will be occasioned if that issue is not raised,” she ruled.

Mutti said if Lusambo wants to raise such a question, it could be done not as a matter of urgent public importance but when time for question and answers for Leader of Government Business in the House or any minister to clarify comes.

She further schooled him that in terms of the requirement for Standing Order 134 his point of order did not qualify to be raised.

“Kindly be guided accordingly and that’s why that seminar is very important and I will urge the honourable members to be patient so that
the seminar will be able to walk them through the standing orders. That way we will be able to discharge our functions properly with
unnecessary raising of matters which don’t follow under the Standing Order 134,” guided Mutti. “Please be guided accordingly.”

After the Speaker laboured to guide the House on Standing Order 134, Wamunyima also rose on a point of order.

“I wish to direct my matter of urgent public importance to the Minister of Home Affairs. This is in reference to a story that was in
yesterday’s Daily Nation and it talks about the Financial Intelligence Centre having abandoned an intelligence surveillance system which is similar to what is used in USA to trap terrorism in preference to a system that is of low status. And in this story it is indicated that whatever system was used or preferred was used to hack phones for the public in terms of WhatsApp and direct calls,” said Wamunyima. “Madam Speaker, I am concerned whether this story is hearsay. The reason why I am escalating this to the Minister of Home Affairs is because the Financial Intelligence Centre is not an investigative wing. It has no legal mandate to have such access. I seek your guidance.”

But Mutti reminded Wamunyima that he had not indicated what calamity was going to result if his concern was not attended to yesterday as a matter of urgent public importance.

“As earlier guided those questions can be raised under another standing order which relates to questions which are put at the Vice-President’s office or minister, not under Standing Order 134. Can we make progress,” guided Mutti.

HH Setting The Standard Of True Servant Leadership Very High – Guess Nyirenda

0

By Oliver Chisenga

IT’S becoming crystal clear that President Hakainde Hichilema means business when it comes to effectively representing Zambia as a country and Zambians as a people, says Operation Young Vote.

In a statement yesterday, OYV executive director Guess Nyirenda said President Hichilema was seemingly not only changing the trajectory of leadership but also setting the standard of true and servant leadership very high.

He said it was no doubt that issues and substance in his maiden speech to the UN General Assembly and the eloquence, esteem, composure and steadfastness with which he delivered it caught the attention of everyone across the globe, leaders and citizens alike.

“President HH’s speech has ignited hope not only in the Zambian people but also across the globe. HH at the UN General Assembly particularly and at the international fora generally, presents a model of focused, servant leadership ready and willing to avoid sophistication and luxury but sacrifice knowing for sure that back home his citizens are lacking,” he said. “The simplistic gesture in his mode of movement and size of his entourage speaks volumes about a leader that does not entertain wasteful expenditure, avoidable consumption of resources.”

Nyirenda said it was clear that President Hichilema was alive to the many challenges Zambia was faced with which include the pandemic, debt status, overburdened currency, corruption, poverty, lack of opportunities and jobs, among many and would not want to use resources on himself at the expense of the challenges.

He added that President Hichilema was evidence that not all was lost in Africa and that Zambia could and was reclaiming its rightful
position on the global space.

“It is highly elating that our own Republican President, His Excellency Mr Hakainde Hichilema would move the whole world in setting adorable leadership benchmarks, especially that his predecessor lowered them below the negatives,” Nyirenda said. “OYV notes with delight and pride at the manner HH is harnessing the democratic dividends and resounding victory he and his party received from the youth of Zambia at such international fora.”

He said it was encouraging to note that President Hichilema continued to attribute his victory to the youth of Zambia who turned up in huge numbers to vote, which was also noted by US President Joe Biden in his address to the UN General Assembly.

“The recognition by the two Presidents of the effort by the youth should make the youth realise their comparative role in democracy and governance. It is pleasing to note that we have leaders that recognise that power belongs to the people and not those in leadership. The mention by President HH, during his engagement with US Vice-President Kamala Harris, that the August 12, 2021 elections were determined by those that voted and not those that count votes needs not only commendation but also followed through and entrenched in our democratic dispensation if it is to thrive,” said Nyirenda.

“As a young people’s platform and voice, OYV would like to urge the President, the UPND leadership and government to translate their positive strides at the UN General Assembly and the USA, into meaningful and tangible youth empowerment opportunities expeditiously as the expectations from the youth are very high due to the long spell of destitution they have been subject to by the previous regime.”

My Wife Came Home Without Underwear…put Them In The Bag, Hubby Tells Court

MY WIFE CAME HOME WITHOUT UNDIES…PUT THEM IN THE BAG, HUBBY TELLS COURT

A JEALOUS husband of Ndola has told the court that he decided to inspect his wife’s private parts after catching her with a lover but found her with no underwear.Harrison Mwila, 37, testified how he trailed his wife, Ester Zimba, 34, to a lodge and found her drinking beer with her boyfriend.Giving evidence in a matter where he sued Zimba for divorce, Mwila said he suspected that his wife had been making love with her boyfriend when he found them drinking beer at the lodge.

This is what prompted him to inspect Zimba’s private parts for evidence, but he discovered that she was not wearing an underwear. The court heard that Zimba had instead put the under-garment in her handbag.

Facts before the court were that Mwila sued Zimba for divorce in the Kabushi Local Court on grounds that she was promiscuous and he no longer put up with her.“Your honour, even though I did not find the two in a room, I knew that they were from having sex because her underwear was in her bag and I wondered why,” he lamented.Mwila told the court that his wife would on several occasions go home late.

On one instance, he locked her outside, forcing her to return to her boyfriend.“We were separated for one year and three months, but we reconciled because I wanted us to keep our child. But she has continued seeing the same man she goes out with,” he said.Mwila said his wife had been seen at bars and lodges with her boyfriend many times.

He said the pair has continued cheating on him despite reporting his rival to the police and getting him detained. But in defence, Zimba said she started going out with her lover when she was on separation with her husband. She said her husband begged to reconcile with her so that they could look after their child together when he learnt that she was dating someone.

Zimba admitted that she never stopped seeing her lover after reconciling with her husband. She said Mwila beat her up when he found her drinking beer with her lover at a bar and got away with her underwear. Zimba alleged that her husband also has a girlfriend who has called her on several occasions, asking her to stay away from her man.

She said Mwila is a violent man who also insults her most of the time.Zimba, however, denied undressing her at the bar, saying Mwila grabbed her underwear by force. She said her husband had intentions of marrying another woman, hence fabricating stories about her.

Passing judgment, presiding magistrate Besa Mushibwe sitting with Barbara Changwe, granted divorce with no compensation to either

DEDAN KIMATHI ROAD IN LUSAKA….THE STORY BEHIND THAT NAME

DEDAN KIMATHI ROAD IN LUSAKA….THE STORY BEHIND THAT NAME

……In Zambia there is a road named after a Kenyan Mau mauu leader and freedom fighter This is his story.

Rewards totalling £500 for the capture of Dedan Kīmathi, were distributed at a ceremony at Nyeri today, (5 November 1956) by the Special Commissioner for the Kikuyu, Embu and Meru, Mr. C.M. Johnston.

The reward in the form of Post Office savings books was divided between the nine members of the patrol, which captured Kimathi, six members receiving £25 each. Tribal policeman Ndirangū Mau, who shot and wounded Kīmathi received £150 and Njūgi Ngatia who was present and assisted Ndirangū throughout the operation, £75. Karūndo wa Mūgo the leader of the operation patrol, who took charge was presented with £50. The remaining £75 was donated for a bean feast for all tribal police and tribal police reservists in Northern Tetū Location

Speaking in [Ki]Swahili to 300 tribal policemen, who marched into position in front of the provincial office with their own fife drums and bungle band, the Special Commissioner said that since the day Dedan Kīmathi had ran away into the forest until the day he was captured, four years had elapsed and those years had been a great loss and trouble to the Kikuyu people.
“… Today we swear that we shall not allow the Mau Mau any form of action and will not let them come back into the country. We shall try again to regain the good name of Central Province through progress and civilisation,” Mr. Johnston added.

The story of what happened to those rewarded by the British is retold over and over in pubs, markets and schools in Nyeri.

The joy of the reward recipients was short-lived. Their neighbours and indeed many of the people they interacted with shunned them. Even small children insulted them publicly. Ndirangū Mau who was originally from Kamakwa in Nyeri, decided to invest his £150 to buy a minibus. He planned to use it as a public service vehicle to transport people for payment.
At night people would use stones to scratch the body of the bus with the words mūthirimo wa Kīmathi, Kīmathi’s shin, drawing reference to the part of the body that Kīmathi had apparently been shot. He would repaint it but people would scratch it afresh until its bodywork was a mass of writings all of which read, mūthirimo wa Kīmathi.

Nobody, except his family ever boarded that bus. A driver would take it to the bus park but it would remain empty all day. Touts at the bus park would shout to anyone trying to enter it, tonya ūrathwo, meaning, enter the bus and get shot. He tried to sell off the bus but nobody wanted to buy it and it aged and rusted from non-use. He invested in a truck. It met the same fate. He decided to use the remainder of the money to open a restaurant. Again, people began painting the famous words on the wall of his restaurant, mūthirimo wa Kīmathi. Nobody entered that restaurant, not even his fellow home guards.

Ndirangū in desperation at the stigmatisation changed his name so that strangers would not recognise him, to no avail. He was shunned and pointed out as a traitor for the rest of his life. After independence, Ndirangū was always on radio asking the government to help him. The rest of the team that had received £25 each invested jointly and bought a lorry.

The lorry met the same fate as Ndirangū’s bus with people quick to scratch mūthirimo wa Kīmathi into its body. They too could not find work and neither could they find a buyer for their lorry. Their children and grandchildren are ostracised till today. To date, when drunken people pass outside the homes of the people who were paid by the British colonialists for shooting Kīmathi, they always shout: “Mūtikire twambe tūhetūke gūkū kwa ngati,” keep quiet until we pass the home guards’ homes. The drunkards will walk past quietly and restart their drunken racket as soon as they pass the home guard’s home.

There were several newspaper reports about Ndirangū Mau the man who shot my husband. See this one for example.

But Ndirangū was no ordinary man. He was the man who on 21 October 1956 shot freedom fighter Dedan Kīmathi and his life changed forever. For close to 29 years, he had remained silent, living off his years under a cloud of resentment and shame that had also been transferred to his children.243018379_260946666032747_4140082866009844349_n
He had been shunned and pilloried by local villagers for shooting the man who held a special place in Kenya’s history. His children had been treated as outcasts in school and his family had lived on a small piece of land under a cloud of suspicion and shame. (…) During my visit, I spotted a dilapidated and abandoned truck in Ndirangū’s home.

The truck was buried in a mound as it had not moved in decades. It was one of the many things he bought with the reward money but could not enjoy. The community turned on him with anger and resentment, treating him like Judas. His family bore the brunt of the society’s rage. His children were treated as outcasts in school and physically bullied. Ndirangū Mau died in 1986.

UPND CAN’T DEBATE,THEY JUST INSULT – SEAN TEMBO

“They think they can send their key-board warriors to intimidate and insult us, it won’t work. Let Hichilema deliver what he promised”

ABOUT UPND INTIMIDATION

By Sean Tembo – PeP President

1. During his address to UPND Councillors and members at Woodlands Lodge in Lusaka last week, UPND National Spokesperson who is also Southern Province Minister, Cornelius Mweetwa encouraged his colleagues in the party to attack us and our party members because of the checks and balances that we provide to his so-called “New Dawn” Government.

2. The biggest handicap that the UPND have is that they lack anyone in their team with the necessary intellectual capacity to counter our submissions on national affairs. They also realize that our submissions have opened the eyes of most well-meaning Zambians who now see the UPND Administration for the lie that it is.

3. So their only solution is to attack us in the mistaken hope that they can intimidate and silence us. They send armies of keyboard warriors to insult us and scandalize us on social media. If someone came to Zambia for the first time, they’d actually think that the UPND lost the last elections, going by their bitterness and insults. Insulting is the only thing that they can do well, because they cannot make an intellectual argument.

4. As instructed by Cornelius Mweetwa, we have seen an increase in not only online insults and fake scandals in the past few days, but also people trailing us in different vehicles. The trailing is amateurish so it’s definitely not from the system but from the UPND party wing.

5. Our first message to Cornelius Mweetwa and his masters is simple: we shall not be intimidated. We fought the PF tyranny in the streets, in courtrooms and in boardrooms and we are equal to the task of fighting UPND tyranny in the same manner and fashion. While we were busy protesting against PF corruption in Cairo Road and being hacked with pangas for doing it, Bally was busy on Twitter at home. And today you think you can intimidate us? If we survived the PF, who are you? Our freedom of expression is not an act of courtesy from Bally. To the contrary, it is guaranteed by the Constitution of Zambia.

6. The fact that you won the last election does not mean that Zambia is no longer our country also. Zambia is not only for those who voted for you. Zambia belongs to us all. And l wish to put it on record here that even at the height of PF political violence, we never saw or heard a Government Minister publicly instructing party members to attack the opposition, like what we have seen Cornelius Mweetwa do. Clearly UPND thuggery and impunity is unprecedented.

7. Our second message to Cornelius Mweetwa and his masters is equally simple; we are ready and willing to die for this country and we hope that you are also ready and willing to do the same.

UPND CAN BE REMOVED IN 2026…if we do not do what the people want, warns Mweetwa

0

By Edwin Mbulo in Livingstone

CORNELIUS Mweetwa warns that the ruling UPND can be removed from power by the people and the first instance comes in 2026, “if we do not do what the people want”.

And Mweetwa says the media which was suppressed by the PF regime played a major role to ensure the UPND won the August 12
elections.

The Choma Central UPND member of parliament who also doubles as party spokesperson and Southern Province minister, said Zambians decided to keep quiet under the brutal PF government and waited for August 12 when they spoke loudly leaving the former ruling party in disarray.

Addressing UPND councillors and party officials at Woodlands Lodge, Mweetwa called on the ruling party members to defend President Hakainde Hichilema from baseless political attacks.

“We as UPND are capable of being removed from power by the people and the first instance comes in 2026 if we do not do what the people want,” he warned. “To do what the people want it is not for the party, it is the government of UPND under the ‘New Dawn’ administration under the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema. Hence the need for us as a party to be ready to defend His Excellency so that he and his administration are left to work for the people of Zambia, instead of defending themselves from unnecessary attacks coming from the opposition Patriotic Front and its surrogates. Some of them like Sean Tembo [PeP leader], we all know that when he was impersonating himself as an opposition political party leader he spent more time attacking his fellow opposition leader at that time Hakainde Hichilema.”

Mweetwa said Tembo was the one superintending over PF corruption by not attacking the then ruling party but instead concentrated on attacking Hichilema.

“Now that we have formed government he has continued to attack His Excellency the President of Zambia Hakainde Hichilema…so it is not about attacking government, it is because he is bitter, attacking an individual,” he said. “So you the party members don’t leave such people
unattended to. And get me clearly, I am not talking about violence. I am talking about responses. This government is too new to be indented with with a lot of criticism from these people who are saying they are confused. The beauty is that the people of Zambia have seen that whatever they are trying to say is all about bitterness.”

And Mweetwa noted that without the media the UPND would have not made it, because the then opposition political party and its leader
Hichilema was being disallowed from campaigning.

He said Hichilema was denied permits to fly to any place in Zambia on several occasions.

“So to emerge victorious under such a very hostile environment was not an easy task. So the President knows who this victory belongs to. It belongs to the people of Zambia generally but for you gathered in this room it belongs to you personally because you went into the fields to
go and campaign…” he said. “We as a party are happy that the challenges of the campaign did not reflect the outcome of the results. The results were so resounding and in unison at all stages and the UPND and its alliance won.”

Mweetwa warned UPND members countrywide not to resort to factionalism.

“There should be no faction here in Livingstone, like there should be no factionalism in Choma or indeed in Chipata or Kaputa. The party now is no longer an opposition and requires every member to be at their best in terms of loyalty, in terms of hard work. Because when we were in the opposition that was easy politics. Attacking the ruling party is easy politics because you can say anything you wish against them including things that are baseless and substantiated. You can say them through the enjoyment of the freedom of speech,” he noted. “So what I am saying is that to attack as an opposition is easier than to defend government policy and decisions. To defend government decisions you require a united and strong party so that when the opposition PF come up with attacks at our government, things that are political in nature – that are not government policy, we as a party should be at our best to engage the PF at party to party level. They should leave government alone.”

Mweetwa added that leaving the government spokesperson to respond to political attacks on the ruling party from the opposition would be putting pressure onto the government.
“The government spokesperson is there to protect the government policy, measures and decisions and to defend those decisions. The government spokesperson is not there to defend President Hichilema from uncensored attacks from Sean Tembo, Raphael Nakacinda and Given Lubinda,” he said. “These people are still suffering from a hangover of a heavy defeat. They are confused to borrow the words of Hon Given Lubinda.”

Mweetwa lectured Lubinda on why the PF lost the August 12 elections.

“He (Lubinda) should not continue to be in a state of confusion together with his friends. Let them come to terms that a government is a creature of the will of the people and not the leaders who are in government. And when people decide to change a government they accordingly change it…Why they lost, I am here now to provide answers why the PF lost and I will sum it in this way,” he said. “The now opposition PF lost the just ended general elections because they suppressed the media and also suppressed alternative opposing voices that were going to be reminding them of the things they needed to avoid so that they are in sync with what the people of Zambia wanted. The unleashed cadres on the media, shutting down Prime TV, The Post Newspaper, attacked radio stations that were broadcasting even recorded programmes from the opposition. Anybody who wanted to speak against corruption was an immediate enemy of the PF. Judges, senior lawyers like my former lecturer John Sangwa SC, when they wanted to speak they were called cadres of the UPND and invited that they meet the PF in the field. So people of Zambia decided to keep quiet and waited when they could speak once and they spoke once and loudly and the PF are still in disarray.”

Mweetwa asked the UPND to quickly regroup and allow an open door policy for its old members who had joined the PF because the PF is gone and cannot be rebranded.

“Instead of rebranding with paint, repent for your corruption and violence – that is what they need to do. There is no question of PF. So let’s go to those structures of the PF…I am on hunt to join the district chairman and the province to receive these people when they come,” said Mweetwa.

Minister of Mines need to exercise maturity and desist from being confrontational- Sean Tembo

0

By Sean Tembo, PeP President

1. As Patriots for Economic Progress (PeP) we are disappointed with the manner in which the UPND administration is handling the issues in the mining industry related to the liquidation of KCM as well as the Mopani purchase deal. About three days ago we saw the Minister of Mines Hon. Paul Kabuswe address a highly confrontational meeting in front of the media, at KCM at which he made all sorts of accusations against the Liquidator, in addition to chastising him for failing to attend the meeting.

2. Indeed, there is no question that the issues facing KCM and Mopani are many and complex. However if the new UPND administration in particular and the nation at large is going to make progress regarding these issues so as to reach an amicable way forward, there is need for Government officials such as the Minister of Mines to exercise maturity and desist from being confrontational and seeking to apportion blame. The Minister should also desist from carrying the media to attend these high level meetings that will determine the future of KCM and Mopani. In other words, the Minister should stop playing to the gallery and just do his job in a sober manner that will bring about the most positive outcome which will be in the best interests of the Zambian people.

3. As Patriots for Economic Progress we further wish to appeal to the Mines Minister in particular and the UPND administration in general to focus on explaining their policies to the people so that we can understand exactly what they are trying to do. For instance, it is on record that while in opposition Mr Hakainde Hichilema strongly opposed the placing of KCM into liquidation, and he also strongly opposed the Mopani purchase deal. Therefore, now that Mr Hichilema is the President of Zambia, everyone would like to know his position on these two issues. Is he going to proceed with the KCM liquidation and Mopani purchase deal or not? So far the UPND administration has been undecided on these two issues. However, for as long as such indecision continues, there will be uncertainty in the mining sector. Such uncertainty will obviously hinder investment into the sector and undermine production.

4. As Patriots for Economic Progress we wish to remind President Hakainde Hichilema that the mining sector is inevitably the backbone of our economy and therefore it cannot afford to suffer from the President’s indecision. It must be noted that even the current improvement in our balance of payment position as well as fiscal position is directly attributed to the mining sector and increase of copper prices on the world market due to the advent of electric cars. If Zambia is going to continue benefiting from these high copper prices on the world market, we need to increase production and that can only come about if President Hichilema faces and addresses the issues at KCM and Mopani. The sooner that the President addresses these issues, the better. If these matters are not urgently addressed, we risk undermining our entire economy in general and our balance of payment and fiscal positions in particular.

Edgar Lungu was a genuine Pan-Africanist, he fought homosexuality- Munir Zulu

Munir Zulu destroys Julius Malema in his speech

Guest of Honor, Honorable Mulambo Haimbe Minister of Justice.

Guest Speaker, Professor Patrick Lumumba.
All respected guests present, let me say all protocols observed.

I am here to discuss about challenges of youth leadership in Africa.

One of the most dangerous things to do – it seems in present day – at least in my country Zambia, is to aspire as a young person to play an active critical role in governance system.

Our society is organized in such a way that luxuries, opportunities, resources and responsibility are exclusively monopolized by elderly folks.

Elders willfully create and sustain environments where for most young people especially those born from underprivileged homes, it is almost impossible to aspire and be anything significant in society.

Young people are often wrapped under a blanket of condemnation as useless beings whose time to play any roles in society lies in the future. Hence, a tired slogan that “youths are future leaders”

Such slogans find expression in a notion that young people cannot think for themselves and must be led under captainship of elders. We see this kind of arrangement manifesting in our daily lives in many societies where even institutions that are established to attend to youthful matters are led by people who are not youths. Such arrangements are always unworkable. We all know that elders have a discriminatory view against youth participation in matter of significance. Therefore, to trust elders with youthful matters is like to expect goats to arrive at their intended destination when the driver is a hyena.

Youthful matters can only be handled by youths themselves because they are the ones who understand their own problems. This is not a request but our right.

Over time, we have lived under this veil that systematically put youths on the touchline as spectators in matters they should have a role. Currently, there is a paradigm shift. The August elections have given birth to many youthful leaders in Councils, Parliament and even in Cabinet, in Zambia.

Notably, most of the young leaders like me, confronted all the mechanism that were put before them by elderly folks to prevent them from playing any role in governance. Some of my colleagues like myself were not adopted by their respective parties only on account that they are young and nothing else. Our different abilities seem to be nothing worth looking at by these people.

I have no doubt that young people are beginning to realize that slogans such as “youths are future leaders” are meaningless. While there is still hesitation to allow young people to play roles in their own affairs, we are changing these dynamics. We shall not fold arms and watch such arrangements unchallenged.

Comrades, allow me to point out that not all those who claim they are youthful leaders should be taken serious because even among us, are sellouts and imposters. We must not be like Julius Malema of the Economic Freedom Fighters in South Africa who seem to be a champion of youthful affairs yet all he does it yapping around without any actions worth talking about.

As I depart from this issue, let me put it out that it is clear elderly folks suffer from Cenosillicaphobia which is the fear of an empty glass. They fear young people as if we have promised to drive them to sea when all we want is to have stake in our affairs.

Let me turn to one issue that is close to my heart, Pan-Africanism.

I am student of Pan-Africanism. My views are influenced and shaped by Pan Africanists like Kwame Nkhuruma, Nelson Mandela, Thomas Sankara, Julius Nyerere, Kenneth Kaunda, Patrice Lumumba, Steve Biko and many others.

I have read enough literature about different ideologies and I have fallen in love with the idea of Africans espousing their own norms. As Africans, our existence revolves around three influences; traditional norms, modernity and religion.

While Black Theology challenges religion in its present form, I wish to focus on modernity and tradition. It is clear that our African tradition is under heavy pressure from Modernity. Many societies in Africa have thrown on the window their respective norms in preference to modernity as conveyed by the West. That is why many African leaders are globetrotting in search for solutions of their countries in the west, forgetting that African challenges can only be sorted by Africans themselves.

As late Frederick Chiluba once said: “The West look at African countries to identify their puppets to divide nations and they identify genuine nationalists and pan-Africanists whom they must attack”

Chiluba has put it further that, once you see an African leader being extoled by Western elements, know that there is some sinister cooking against the people of that nation were such leaders come from. They will come with some of the most sweetened claims of offering financial and material aids but beyond what the surface suggests, they are nothing but wolves out to cut right on the throat of Africans with their sharp teeth.

We have among African leaders elements that are Western puppets. They gain power with the help of the West. The relationship between such is of father –son kind of arrangement. Whenever their African countries face challenges, they go to their Fatherly Westerner to beg for financial crumbs. Yet, the bullying father figure makes his wealth from the very African countries through stealing its resources. These western elements thrive where there is confusion. The wars and instability we see in many African countries is a direct consequence of Western forces. We fight among ourselves and they are busy stealing from us.

Comrades here and abroad, we must never believe in leaders who are puppets to the West. They are sellouts. We must remove such Western puppets because they are embarrassing us to our ancestors who think we are cowards.

We are prepared to walk into the footsteps of past African heroes who fought against imperials. We are prepared to fight against modern imperialism that hides in financial bail-outs and aid to African countries.

And as we commit to wage war against ideals that destroy Pan-Africanism, we are aware of the fact that our comfort is not compatible with our cause. These are things we will sacrifice for to ensure that we do not betray those that fought hard for our own sovereignty.

I am hereby waging a crusade against the unwritten West is Best school of thought and replace it with an Afro-Centric or even Zam-Centric maxim. I am against an attempt by the Western to alter Africanism by forcing unto us cultures which conflict human nature, such as Gay Marriages.

I want to put it out that, I have great respect for former President Edgar Lungu for standing firm against these western vultures when he refused to allow such unholy practices as Gay Marriages in Zambia. President Lungu’s stance may have cost him so much but it has earned him dignity and admiration in the eyes of true Pan-African champions. I want to also pay growing respect to the former president for conceding defeat and peacefully handing over power after the loss of the election.

In the same breadth, I congratulate Mr. Hakainde Hichilema for his victory in the previous elections.

I want to also thank Eden University for this wonderful program where ideas are shared.
Allow me to thank Kelvin Kaunda the CEO of Eden University. He is a youth but his achievements so far have demonstrated so much to learn from that young people should not be defined by their age but by their abilities.

I thank you.

The Dream May Tarry But Shall Be Achieved- Amb. Emmanuel Mwamba

0

By Amb. Emmanuel Mwamba

Since September 2020, I had agonized to make a final decision.

Everyday I was troubled, slept over it, consulted and mostly prayed about it.

I made this known to my family and close friends.

I was going to resign from my job to pursue other interests.

So when it was time, I made a step.

I resigned as Zambia’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to both the African Union and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa….

Others were alarmed!

“How could you leave a job you are good at? How could you leave a job that people can only wish for? What if your intended pursuits fail?”

Other partners like my colleagues in the United States felt I could be betraying a cause for Africa, a cause they felt Zambia and myself were doing very well. “For times such as these, you are like an Esther!”

But I was convinced this was my new path.

After several drafts, I had my final letter. I travelled to Lusaka to tender in my resignation!

Phew. I was finally at peace!

“The Beginning of my new journey had started”, I confidently told myself.

It was not to be!

Only to be called later that; “Your resignation has been refused!”

“Your national duties to the country are more valuable than your personal pursuits!”

I was puzzled and caught by surprise by the turn of this development.

“Where did you hear that a resignation had been refused?” I asked myself!

So with forlorn mood but thanking God for this new development, I returned to Addis Ababa, to do what I know best…Do my work!

So when colleagues, friends and family recently learnt of my recall, they expressed worry and deep concern…

But I remind them; “But this is a job I resigned from. This is an opportunity I had settled to forego…”

Besides, diplomatic jobs are like a revolving door. Someone is always coming in and another is always leaving.

For me I look back to the great work we have done in foreign service since 2015 and I thank God for the rare opportunity given to me, recognizing that this chapter is now closed, and a new one shall be opened.

It is well.

The vision will be achieved. It may tarry but will surely be fulfilled.

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry” Habakkuk 2;3

We’re Waiting For Police To Invite Us Again – Faith Musonda’s Lawyer

0

By Julia Malunga,

FAITH Musonda’s lawyer Jonas Zimba says he is waiting for the police to invite them for further interrogations over the K65 million and US$57,000 that was found in a house believed to be hers.

And Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo says the police have for now opted to remain quiet on the matter and will only get back to the public once investigations are concluded.

Musonda made her second appearance at police on Thursday at about 14:05 hours and was interrogated for about eight hours.

She was accompanied by her lawyers Zimba and Makebi Zulu.

Addressing journalists after the interrogations, Zulu said they had made substantial progress.

“We have made substantial progress. We will continue another day,” said Zulu.

When asked why the interrogations took so long, Zulu said “that’s called progress”.

Meanwhile, when asked for an update on the matter in a police official WhatsApp group, Friday, Katongo said investigations had continued and that the police would get back to the public once they concluded.

“For now, we opt to remain quiet, however, state that investigations have continued in the matter, we will get back to the public through the media once investigations are concluded,” she said.

Asked what the police were investigating, Katongo said “we will inform you later.”

Further asked when the next questioning would take place, Katongo referred the journalists to the lawyers.

“I am not aware. You can find out from the lawyers,” said Katongo.

However, in a brief interview, Zimba said they were waiting for the police to invite them.

He added that the interrogations were lengthy because they desired to make progress.

“It is the police that can tell you. It is not us; it is them. It is the police that invites, how do you say ‘it is these guys to say?’ We are waiting for them, we always go when they call us. What took us so long is the desire to make progress. We were making progress,” said Zimba.

On Monday, Musonda appeared at police and her lawyers said she went there to show that she was not on the run, and also to ask for more time. Zulu said his client had asked for privacy as police probed the source of her K65 million.

News that police had recovered over K65 million from the former ZNBC TV personality Musonda’s house last week Saturday stunned the nation.

“Don’t lecture us on democracy, Guinea is a nation, it’s not your family business where you go around dictating”- Guinea Coup Leader Col. Mamady Doumbouya of Guinea sends a warning to Uganda’s Dictator Museveni

0

Mamady Doumbouya the strong man of Guinea, the man of the moment has sent strong words of caution to the Ugandan dictator, Yoweri Museveni who continues to poke his nose into another foreign country’s affairs.

It is alleged that the Ugandan Leader is culpable of the same offense Alpha Conde committed to extending his grip on power.

Guinea Military Leader opined: “We respect you as ECOWAS but we will not take your orders. Don’t assume powers you don’t have…Guinea is an independent nation, t’s not your family business where you will go around dictating.

The Army removed a dictator who changed our constitution to remain in power; the people are up to now celebrating his downfall, why do you want us to restore his Government yet people are against him, go on the streets of Conakry and talk to people and you will know their position.

Please stop dictating don’t lecture us on democracy. ECOWAS and AU are a batch of dictators with the mentality of occupying and colonizing Africans. Dictators think they will rule African countries as if they are running their families.

We are closely following the events and we have learned that Museveni hasn’t slept ever since we took overpower. He has been calling fellow dictators to undermine our leadership

Museveni should instead focus on his country and rebuild it since he destroyed it long ago to the extent that there is no constitutional order in Uganda. Museveni is the constitution in Uganda and he is still protected by AU a batch of tyrants on our Continent.

Museveni’s family rule in Uganda, he dominates everything, and Ugandans have suffered under his hands.

Dictator Museveni is writing missives against us accusing us of being backed by western powers, but he is the real agent of the western powers…He was used to gathering Intelligence on Omar Al Bashir, he was used by the west to spy on Gadaffi..and he is still doing more for the west.

If Museveni is working for the west, he is the kind of puppet leader who doesn’t know his place in history and is responsible for the death of Thomas Sankara and Patrice Lumumba, Museveni is a traitor to the new African order…If he continues his outbursts against us, we have more capabilities to undermine him on the African continent and beyond including ending his tyrannical missile in Uganda.

For Museveni and his fellow African dictators at AU, Please stop interfering in the affairs of Guinea, stop lecturing us on democracy, stop your colonial mentality, concentrate on fighting poverty in your countries, and serving our people well on this Continent, they are suffering. Museveni, you have tainted your legacy and you have destroyed all your achievements and credibility.“

This Is A Sad Story Of Kafue Family Hit By Blindness

0

THIS IS A SAD STORY OF KAFUE FAMILY HIT BY BLINDNESS

“THE grief of losing my husband in 2000 was unbearable. Soon after, I lost my sight in the same year. It was even worse later on when my three children similarly lost sight!”

This is the plight 53-year-old widow Esther Njovu has found herself in.

Blindness has left her family with neither recourse nor hope. Ms Njovu is disillusioned.242777414_4292414060876586_7234692126057161526_n

The only thing she can do is to commit her and the family’s predicament in God’s hands.

She said life has never been the same after she lost her husband Timothy Mtonga.

Speaking in an interview recently, Ms Njovu, who lives in Kafue district said she has six children, three of whom are living with blindness.

She recalled that one of her sons, Edward Mtonga, aged 26, suddenly woke up one morning and could not see!

The mother thought he was pretending or playing a sick joke on her.

She grabbed him and gave him a beating to stop him from being naughty.

But then Edward insisted that he was not pretending.

He said he had developed a sight problem.

At the hospital, doctors diagnosed him as having really lost sight and this was devastating to Ms Njovu who described it as a tragedy.

Several years later, her daughter Neria, 22, who was in Grade Seven at the time, started failing to see properly during class.242443124_4292414254209900_3535098510627466886_n

She thought some dirt had gone into her eyes, but the following day, she literary could not
see.

She too was taken for check up at the hospital where she was diagnosed with blindness.

This was exasperating for Ms Njovu, but it was not over.

Another daughter, Irene, who was in Grade Four at the time, also lost her sight.

Ms Njovu finally went to the hospital to find out what was behind her children’s loss of sight.

The doctors asked to have all the children examined at the hospital to determine whether the blindness in the family was genetic.

From the tests, doctors established that the children were affected by some kind of a hereditary condition of blindness and hinted that the other children who had not yet become blind might sooner or later be affected by then same condition.

Ms Njovu’s story is so unusual that it would send shivers down one’s spine considering the state she is in.

But she has remained determined to fight for her six children who have endured rough times.

Ms Njovu’s daily routine can make one be acquainted with what it is like to be a mother who is visually impaired and at the same time taking care of children who are equally blind.

Everyday, Ms Njovu has to struggle her way through life.

She used to be a tailor, but without her sight, she had to stop her occupation which involves the use of a needle and eyes to sew clothes.

“I used to be a tailor, but I cannot do that anymore. I am scared of getting hurt with the sharp needles,” she said.242555737_4292413994209926_395224098743997585_n

When she tries to start-up a small business, unscrupulous people often dupe her with counterfeit money.

Because of being in this condition, her children have dropped out of school, except for Edward who, after being encouraged by his parents, realised that there was hope to better his life.

This assisted him to pursue special education at Zambia Institute of Special Education (ZAMISE) college in Lusaka after he completed secondary school.

His achievement was an inspiration to the family.

It proved that even when one is visually impaired, one can make one’s life worthwhile.

“I ask God that my son should achieve big things and my daughters should not give up on life but back go back to school,” she said.

Ms Njovu said her family has had to survive on a scanty budget that barely provides them with necessities.

It is apparent that the challenge of being blind has gripped Ms Njovu’s family because most of the family members are blind and this makes it difficult for them to find food.

Arising from this, the Roman Catholic Church of Holy Saviour Parish in Kafue has given her a house so that the family does not end up on the streets.

“I am so grateful to the Catholic Church for the house because before, I never had a permanent place and used to move from one place to the other with my physically challenged children before i could not afford rent,” Ms Njovu said.

She said it has not been an easy journey for her and the family.

She said sometimes, life to her seems like a dream, but everyday, she wakes up to face the reality.

Ms Njovu said her children dropped out of school at a tender age after they became blind.

She said what her children have gone through has become “unbearable.”

FIC Must Be Held Accountable Over The Missing Us$ 2.5 Million – Pastor Peter Chanda

FIC MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE OVER THE MISSING US$ 2.5 MILLION – PASTOR CHANDA
[Smart Eagles]

New Congress Party president Pastor Peter Chanda says the financial intelligence center FIC must be made to account for the missing US$2.5 million dollars.

Addressing the media in Lusaka, Pastor Chanda said the FIC dubiously paid a named foreign company US$ 2.5 million dollars to install the security surveillance system, the work which was not done.

He said the company contracted by the FIC has since vanished with the US$ 2.5 million dollars tax payers money.

Pastor Chanda said Several calls have been made but the FIC director Mary Chirwa has remained mute over the allegations.

” We fail to understand why the FIC which is not an investigative wing had to embark on such a journey of installing surveillance security systems and at the same time losing US$ 2.5 million dollars, hard earned taxpayers money. Development is retarded when corruption is at the centre ” Pastor Chanda said.

Pastor said the FIC director Mary Chirwa and her team must be suspended so that thorough investigations are conducted at the institution.

” It is this vain we call on President Hakainde Hichilema to set up a tribunal that will suspend the director of financial intelligence center Mary chirwa and her team so that thorough investigation can be done in the US$ 2.5 million dollars which was paid to foreign company, a company that was supposed to setup security surveillance systems,” Pastor Chanda said.

According to the Daily Nation Newspaper, the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) has failed to deny reports that it paid US$10 million for a surveillance system worth US$ 2 million and has been paying US$2.5 million a year for maintenance, resulting in a cumulative payment of US$18 million to date.

According to information provided to the Daily Nation, the agency paid the US$10 million in 2017 for a system that has not been fully installed because spy towers, probes, and the network system have never been installed.

The FIC apparently abandoned a powerful system which was bought in 2012/2013 called the “IBM i2 Intelligence System” which is the same system that the Pentagon and the CIA used to track down terrorist financing, in preference for the new Israeli system whose suppliers have now vanished.

The true price of the intelligence management system is US$ 2 million and not US$10 million. The difference of US$ 8 million reportedly went into kickbacks. The new information follows a story that the Daily Nation published last week that a vendor paid US$2.5 million for a surveillance system had disappeared.

HH Should Not Be Swayed By Katele, Kaingu Sweet Talk….they Are Looking For Jobs – Moyo

0

By Edwin Mbulo in Sesheke

THOSE who never believed Hakainde Hichilema would win the August 12 elections now want to be new kids on the block, says Joseph Moyo.

Reacting to comments by politicians such as Katele Kalumba and Michael Kaingu, The African Woman Foundation leader (TAWF) founder urged the UPND-Alliance and its leader Hichilema not to be swayed by sweet talk from some politicians.

“Before the August 12 elections where was Kaingu? If anything he was campaigning for his daughter Iris in Mwandi and in so doing he must have said things against HH and the UPND,” Moyo said. “Where was Katele Kalumba? I remember that he was campaigning for Edgar Lungu. I read Kaingu saying HH can’t do it alone. Does he think HH was alone before August 12? Does he know Mr Akafumba (Josephs), Mr Milupi (Charles), my lawyer KBF (Kelvin Fube Bwalya) and others.

What about Jack Mwiimbu, Cornelius Mweetwa, Gary Nkombo and not forgetting Madam Vice-President Mutale Nalumango and many others. My only analysis of the sudden resurrection of some of these is because they now want jobs when they never believed that Hakainde Hichilema would win the August elections. They now want to be new kids on the block.”

He added that if anything Dr Kalumba was one of the people who betrayed former president Edgar Lungu and now wants to be chief counselling officer to the UPND not to capture State House.

“He himself captured Edgar Lungu and so did many other PF cadres. They betrayed not only Edgar Lungu but women and girls in all remote areas of Zambia. He betrayed a girl who was forced out UNZA’s engineering class just because her father who was paying for her fees died. They in PF could not give her a bursary to be able to complete her education now she is back at home in Livingstone,” said Moyo. “They, in PF, betrayed women who could not access quality health care.

They betrayed a woman and many others who have since died while giving birth. Mr President, Hakainde Hichilema, don’t be misled by these men and women who were silent when you suffered in jail all because you wanted the best for Zambians. Listen to people who were there for you like senior chiefs Mukuni and Hamusonde.

Their counsel is of substance not others who now want to look as if they were watermelons when they are actually poisonous fruits or wolves in sheep’s kin.”

No More Use Of Statehouse For Illegalities – Bishop John Mambo

0

By Charles Tembo

STATE House will no longer be used for illegal deals, says Bishop John Mambo.

Bishop Mambo who is a director on the Zambezi Portland Cement board, said the rule of law should be respected in any dealings going forward.

Addressing journalists in Ndola on the ownership of Zambezi Portland Cement, Bishop Mambo said the interest of the local people should come first.

He explained that the company was run by majority shareholders at 58 per cent and minority shareholders at 42 per cent.

“Contrary to this assertion, the recent ruling of the Court of Appeals merely cleared the Ventriglias to pursue their applications in the Court of Appeal in relation to the quantum of the money in accordance with the judgment, and the 42 per cent share which were accorded to their family company Ital Terazzo instead of themselves in their personal capacities,” he told journalists yesterday. “The issue of the quantum is merely a debt and does not question the shareholding. As far as ownership of Zambezi Portland Cement is concerned, Finsbury Investment Limited is the 58 per cent majority shareholder. The judgment of the Court of Appeal of 31 January 2019 and the Supreme Court decision of 28 October 2020 stand as final decisions, and are not subject to any appeal in any courts.”

He said there was a lot of impunity to abuse the law in the name of connections with State House.

Bishop Mambo said the use of politicians was now in the past, as the law would be followed.

He said the interest of the majority shareholders was the 700 workers and not brutality as was the case previously.

“Therefore, any attempts by the Ventriglias to continue blocking the majority shareholders from having access to the cement plant using thugs and the police on a private property as they have been doing since 2015 is illegal and in violation of the rule of law,” said Bishop Mambo. “There is nothing of saying ‘we have the door to State House’ now. It is to follow the law as it is.

Using thugs like in the past will not work. The violation of the rule of law will not be allowed. The rule of law should be respected. We can’t claim to be a democracy and a Christian nation if the law is not respected. We are not saying that the minority should vacate, no! We are mindful of the workers.”

And Zambezi Portland Cement chief executive officer Phesto Musonda said the court had clearly ruled that there was no single owner of the company.

Musonda said both majority and minority shareholders should work jointly and secure the interest of the workers.

POLITICAL VIOLENCE: Why Has It Resurfaced Despite Voting It Out On August 12

0

POLITICAL VIOLENCE: WHY HAS IT RESURFACED DESPITE VOTING IT OUT ON AUGUST 12

We used to see a lot of such pictures of victims of violence during the PF regime. We were helpless. We could do nothing because the PF leadership never cared.

We continued hoping for change through the ballot. An opportunity finally came. We voted for the restoration of the rule of law. Some voted against the PF cadre violence, even when their own civil service jobs were at risk as a consequence of changing government. *They loved not themselves, they loved the country. They voted for the love of the country.*

What did we expect after the change of government?

I personally expected that perpetrators of violence would be arrested and prosecuted, specifically those who were being shielded by the fallen PF regime than allowing victims of that violence to revenge through violence.

While the new dawn leadership sees PF violence as statistics of PF cadres stripping girls and women found wearing UPND, to us what we remember is a person, whom we know and still see in the bus station or market, undressing a woman, beating an innocent person etc.

So what we have is John a known PF cadre undressing Jane who wore a UPND chitenge. Since John could not be touched during the PF regime, we expected John to be arrested and prosecuted immediately after our vote was given value, when victory was declared in our favour against all odds.

What did we see?
We saw the police failing to make any arrests despite having complaints at their various posts. Most, if not all, complaints of PF violence were reported to the police, even against groups supervised by the powerful PF leaders. If someone goes to Shiwang’andu police station he/she might find reports against a team of violent PF cadres who were known as “ba 100%”. This was a team which used to wear PF regalia with the inscription “PF 100%” during elections. It was lodging at a lodge owned by Shiwang’andu District Commissioner. This team terrorized people!

Even the current Vice President of Zambia and the current Minister of Science and Technology have been victims of Shiwang’andu violence and could have complaints right before Shiwang’andu police station. The police have done nothing!

What we have at play is that victims of PF violence have been denied the justice they voted for. Now they are now looking at their own ways of getting justice. So we are back to lawlessness.

The way forward is that the police, under the new command, should revisit all the complaints against the previously untouchable PF officials and cadres. These complaints and dockets in some cases are there in police stations. If they are not there new ones can be opened.

Let Mr Kampyongo present ba 100% PF to Shiwang’andu police. Let these cadres be prosecuted and then pardon them after they are convicted, if the new leadership is so eager to forgive perpetrators of political violence.

There will be no healing in the country if a team of people will forgive perpetrators of violence on behalf of all the victims. People will take the law into their own hands as we have witnessed. Otherwise why would people beat up a PF cadre today, if not for past wrongs which the police have neglected to act on?

The problem is you are remembering PF cadres maiming, undressing and killing Zambians whereas Zambians in their various walks of life are remembering Jones as PF cadre undressing Jane; Charles teaming up with other PF cadres to beat up Mark, Daniel and Ruth; a known former minister importing cadres from Lusaka to go and terrorize people in a rural constituency into submitting to supporting PF at all costs etc.

What appear to be statistics to the leaders are real people on the ground. These people want to see justice. Give them justice.

Hon. Jack Mwiimbu, the Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister, should sort out this problem before it escalates. The honourable Minister knows that there is no statute of limitation of time on criminal offences. Allow people to report the PF commanders that brutalized them. Let the police command act on the reports of PF violence, which were not acted upon due to political influence. Get the Commission of Inquiry report on political violence and act on it.

We can’t afford to continue seeing blood being spilled like what we just saw. We have moved forward.

Please honour our vote Hon Mwiimbu. Criminals cannot be pardoned before prosecution and conviction. That is the lawlessness I voted against.

I submit

Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) $18M Scandal Deepens

(Daily Nation) THE Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) has failed to deny reports that it paid US$10 million for a surveillance system worth US$ 2 million and has been paying US$2.5 million a year for maintenance, resulting in a cumulative payment of US$18 million to date.

According to information provided to the Daily Nation, the agency paid the US$10 million in 2017 for a system that has not been fully installed because spy towers, probes, and the network system have never been installed.

The true price of the intelligence management system is US$ 2 million and not US$10 million. The difference of US$ 8 million reportedly went into kickbacks. The new information follows a story that the Daily Nation published last week that a vendor paid US$2.5 million for a surveillance system had disappeared.

An informed source explained that the US$2.5 million was the annual maintenance fee of the defective system whose full capacity was to tap into people’s phone calls, read WhatsApp SMS massages and Skype calls among others.

However, the system was reportedly not “Fit for Purpose” and that there was no justification supported by a thorough business case to install such a system as per the ICT Governance principals at the Centre. The ICT Department was allegedly never consulted as experts on the matter.

The named company based in Israel is alleged to have been paying kickbacks to some public officials at FIC and Ministry of Finance into offshore accounts.

The source explained that, “it is clear that FIC has been acting outside their legal mandate by tapping into peoples phone calls, reading SMSs and WhatsApp massages, listening to Skype calls and further carrying out investigations. Remember FIC is not a Law Enforcement Agency. Its mandate is limited to analyzing and disseminating STRs to LEA. The System they installed for USD10mllion taps into peoples phone calls, read massages among other things instead of carrying out analysis and monitoring of suspicious transaction reports as per their legal mandate”.

It is clear that the FIC has been acting outside their legal mandate. The FIC is not a Law Enforcement Agency. Its mandate is limited to analysing and disseminating suspicious transactions to law enforcement agencie

HH HAS SET BAR VERY HIGH FOR PF, SAYS PF MEMBER…let’s elect someone who can match up

PF member Ponde Mecha says President Hakainde Hichilema has set the bar very high and is fast gaining the respect of Zambians and the international community, therefore PF must elect someone who can match up to those standards.

And Mecha, the immediate past Chifunabuli member of parliament (PF), says people must scrutnise the principles and character of people like Chishimba Kambwili, whom he said claimed to be a founder member of PF and NDC at the same time.

He said the PF should be careful against electing someone who risked being found wanting in the future, and thereby denting the party’s image even more.

Speaking with Daily Revelation, Mecha said the PF must consider having a leader in the mould of President Hichilema, both in terms of age and standing.

“Some people are saying now we need one in the age range of or below that of HH, and somebody vibrant. HH has set the bar very high. I think his profile is rising with time. He is slowly gaining the respect of the International community, the respect of Zambians,” Mecha said. “We need somebody to match and even go beyond that standard. So we will be looking at such a leader who would match the standard of HH.”

Asked if the PF had such a person with those standards, Mecha said he knew a number of them but would not mention as he might do so, only to find that such a person is soiled, in view of the many revelations of impropriety that are coming out involving certain former leaders.

Asked if Kambwili was the right person to take the PF forward, Mecha said the people should focus on the principles and character of someone “who claims to be one of the founder members of PF and NDC at the same time.”

“Why did he leave? We need to understand that. We need to understand how he performed where he went. There was also an association with UPND, what happened? We are also aware that he formed his own party where he is a founder member,” Mecha said. “So he has been a founder member of PF and also NDC. What really is his allegiance to NDC and also PF? Why should we trust him when his political life has been nomadic?”

On the issue of personal integrity, Mecha said: “I know he believed in collective responsibility in the party, (but) did he divulge anything when he went somewhere else? When he came back did he divulge anything else about where he had gone to? Could he be a danger to the proper functioning of PF?”

On former Justice minister Given Lubinda, Mecha said he had a lot of respect for him in the manner he carries himself.

“I am not sure if he is also soiled or what, but we are still trying to find out. For him in terms of rebranding PF he could be up to the task,” he said.

On Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM), Mecha said: “Uhmmmm, does he come any closer to top leadership? I am… continue reading here

Peter Sinkamba calls on President HH to deal with KCM liquidator Milingo Lungu

Chase KCM liquidator, Sinkamba pleads with HH

By Darious Kapembwa

GREEN Party president Peter Sinkamba has urged President Hakainde Hichilema to chase KCM liquidator Milingo Lungu from the mining company immediately.

In May 2019, the PF government under Edgar Lungu announced the liquidation of Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) thereby kicking out major

shareholders Vedanta Resources Limited owned by Indian mogul Anil Agarwal.

It is a move which has resulted into a legal battle between Vedanta and the Zambia government, with the Lusaka High Court ruling that the matter goes to arbitration.

However, the former government continued running a ‘liquidated’ company at full capacity through Lungu.

But Sinkamba who, despite sympathising and associating with the former ruling party prior to the August 12 general elections, remained consistent with his argument that the liquidation of KCM was not properly done.

Sinkamba argued that President Hichilema was perpetuating the illegality by still keeping Lungu at KCM after winning the elections.

He said since Lungu was made liquidator by a stroke of pen, it was incumbent upon Hichilema to chase him by the same means.

“The liquidation process at KCM was effected in May 2019 by PF government overnight, just by stroke of the pen. Up to 24th August 2021, the so-called liquidator at KCM was there at the mercy of PF government,” he said in a statement on Tuesday. “It is now almost one month since UPND inherited government from PF. This means the liquidator is at KCM since 24th August, at the mercy of you President Bally. So, all the mess ongoing at KCM since 24th August is squarely on the shoulders, and is responsibility of you President Bally. This is so because, by stroke of the pen, you President Bally would have chased away the liquidator as far back as 24th August.”

Sinkamba urged President Hichilema to show concern about KCM issues.

He asked the Head of State to write the chief executive officer of ZCCM-IH to withdraw liquidation proceedings because, according to him, sentiments on the ground regarding the KCM liquidation were not pleasant.

“Sadly, instead of prioritising matters that are supposed to bring in billions of dollars into the country such as sorting out the KCM mess…to be clear, my brother leader, President Bally, sentiments on the ground concerning KCM liquidation are not pleasant,” Sinkamba added. “So, wherever you are in the world, can you please deal with the liquidation at KCM. Demonstrate not only to the Zambian people, but also the international investors you intend to meet in the US, that you are very serious with the economic welfare of this country, and investment. By the stroke of the pen can you please direct the ZCCM-IH CEO to withdraw the liquidation proceedings today. Sir, your predecessor did so, and this is the fastest way to go around the liquidation process. And you have the power to do so.”

In his plea to President Hichilema, Sinkamba added: “I can assure you that as soon as you do so, there will be a glimmer of hope to end the mess at KCM. In the interim, immediately appoint a team to help clean up the mess. As experts in the green agenda, we can help you in this regard. Sir, disregard this advice, and you will remember me pretty soon.”

It’s Strange For PF To Cry Foul About Police Conduct – Archbishop Telesphore Mpundu

0

Former Archbishop Telesphore Mpundu speaks during the launch of Our Civic Duty Association (OCIDA) at Kapingila House in Lusaka June 24 2020 – Picture by Tenson
ARCHBISHOP Telesphore Mpundu says PF should prove that there is unprofessionalism in the police service because they did not cry foul when they were in power.

And Archbishop Mpundu says it is not shocking to find colossal sums of money in people’s homes given the manner in which public resources were abused in the previous regime.

In an interview, Tuesday, Archbishop Mpundu said it was strange that PF was crying foul about police conduct.

“If they are talking about unprofessional conduct and violence, it has to be proved. You just can’t start making allegations, you need to have proof for that. Secondly, what happened within the PF government not so long ago, I’m not saying two wrongs make one right, if it is a wrong that is being done right now it has to be condemned, but we have to remember that this was a game started by the PF and which has been used by the PF. They are crying foul? Why didn’t they cry foul when they were looting, when all kinds of money were disappearing,” he asked.

“Now that it is on them, they are crying foul that there is unprofessionalism there, let them prove this unprofessionalism and the officers that are found guilty can be disciplined accordingly. So crying about professionalism is a waste of time. What has been taken away from the people must go back to the people and the people have suffered because of that. So no crying of other professional conduct. If they want to run away by stating that they are being targeted, everyone is under suspicion in the previous administration, under suspicion because the looting was massive. In this case, it has been said time and again, the professional job by investigative officers must be done so that the whole truth comes out. When that truth comes out, there has got to be some punishment. Either money is taken away or [they are] given a jail sentence.”

And Archbishop Mpundu said it was possible for colossal sums of money to be found in homes given the manner in which public resources were abused in the previous regime.

“The way to go about it is professionally, if there are suspects who worked in certain departments and could easily access that amount of money, they must be investigated. And if evidence is found then they can be prosecuted. It is possible given the amount of impunity with which public financial resources were being taken away and being used by individuals and groups. It is quite possible. So investigative organs must go flat out to make sure that those who are guilty are brought to justice. It is quite possible because of the impunity that we experienced to such an extent that even money was being thrown at people to jump at. This must be done and it will give the general public confidence in the new administration that they are not going to tolerate impunity, corruption and theft of public financial resources,” he said.

Archbishop Mpundu further said there was no need for PF officials to be jittery if they did not commit any offences while in government.

“Why are they afraid? If they are being targeted and they are innocent, it will be proved [that they are] innocent. Anyone is targeted and I do not think there is a particular person. If you suspect, you do not arrest someone because of suspicion. There is got to be an investigation and enough evidence. So I think that kind of excuse carries no water at all. Who is being targeted? Everybody who worked in the previous administration is under suspicion but it is only suspicion and they must be substantiated and that is that. People that are innocent need not to fear anything. Why are they jittery? Do they have something to hide?” asked Archbishop Mpundu.

“This new administration has been told on a number of occasions by individuals and institutions that it has to be professional. In the previous administration, only certain people out there, [those who were] not in government were being investigated. The investigative organs were not given full responsibility to do a professional job. So now that we have been given that assurance that the investigative organs are going to be given the freedom to investigate, they have to do a professional job. So those that are jittery have something to hide. If I have nothing to hide, I [would] want as soon as possible to be cleared. And I am willing to get that opportunity to get investigated so that I can be proved innocent. Now if I am not innocent in one way or another, I start accusing the government and the investigative organs that they are targeting. You are not being targeted and no one is left out of this.

Refusal To Accept Charmaine Musonda To Rejoin Her Former Political Party UPND An Injury To Freedom Of Association And Constitution

0

REFUSAL TO ACCEPT CHARMAINE MUSONDA TO REJOIN HER FORMER POLITICAL PARTY UPND AN INJURY TO FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION AND CONSTITUTION.

THE fracas that occurred at the UPND Secretariate recently when Secretariate wanted to officially readmit Charmaine Musonda, a former losing UPND candidate for Chilanga by-election ensuing the jailing of former MP Keith Mukata and aspiring candidate in the 2021 General Election at Parliamentary level was unfortunate and must be condemned.

It undermines freedom of association and the Constitution of Zambia including President HH’s desire to build a democratic Zambia where democratic dividends accrue to all Zambians.

One of the democratic dividends is freedom of association.

Yes Charmaine had defected to the PF at the time people felt oppressed and after being left out of the adoptions, perhaps out of emotions, which is politically understood.

But blocking her from rejoining her party is an injury to the article 21 of the Constitution of Zambia on the freedom of association.

The UPND should not tread that path and it is sad that fellow women were in the forefront blocking her instead of encouraging her to come back to the fold like prodigal son, now daughter, of the bible and then counsel her.

Yes, many suffered under the autocratic hands of PF and being in opposition was not easy and the election victory, despite the closed democratic space by the PF which Charmaine joined for one reason or another which was her democratic right, was not plain sailing.

The fact that UPND SG had allowed her to come and be readmitted in party must have been an assurance to members that due diligence was done in the readmission process but blocking her was embarrassing to the leadership.

How many people who insulted, intimidated, harrassed, called UPND names in the 23 years in opposition and even wanted UPND deregistered who have been welcomed and those who left readmitted today in the party and holding positions without being rejected?

African politics are fluid and not rigid and therefore tolerance is a virtue in Afrcian politics . Politicians never differ in interests but vehicles to meet those interests.

Let us respect freedom of and rights to association of everyone and all Zambians whether they are former defectees from the party or new defectees to the party from another party.

If it is the fear that her readmission will deprive those loyalists of their possible job opportunities, that can still be dealt with internally without seen to be intolerant and disrepectful of the Constitution.

Let Charmiane be allowed to exercise her freedom of association by letting her back in the party. Those who blocked her must be forgiven because they feel betrayed which is normal in life.

President Hichilema’s Cabinet Pick Shames PF Tribalists

0

By Dr Parkie Mbozi

One of Shaka Zulu’s famous quotes says, “Never leave an enemy behind, or it will rise again to fly at your throat.”
Shaka was not educated, but no doubt very wise. His message in this quote is worth taking serious, especially for the new government of the United Party for National Development UPND).It is also a message for the party leader and now Republican President Hakainde Hichilema. Reconciliation and forgiveness are good, but so too is reparation.

The people of the sole-called Zambezi province, I call them the Tongas and their allies, faced the worst form of systemic ‘ethnic cleansing’ at the hands of the Patriotic Front (PF) in government to the extent that as long as one’s name was associated with ‘Zambezi province’, there was nothing for them in form of (top) jobs or contracts for tenders, promotions, respect, etc. in government and parastatals. Promotions would be denied and retirements in ‘national interest’ were also the order of the day.

Sadly, this mentality and the tone set by the PF leadership permeated various sectors of society, such that names associated with Tongas and their allies were considered misfits, in the same way that Jews have been treated in parts of the world, starting from the time of Adolf Hitler in Germany in the past century. I remember vividly moments when our son Hamwenda would come back weeping because he had been bullied by his colleagues at school, all because of his name. One day he came home from school and asked, dad, ‘why do they hate us so much’? It got to the point that he asked if the “Ha’ to his name could be dropped so that it would only read as “Mwenda” That’s just how bad it became.

Today there are many who believe that had the PF won the 2021 election, Tongas and their allies would have been forced into the bush, akin to Winnie Mandela’s desire to “drive the whites into the sea;” Unfortunately for the PF tribalists, Tongas and their allies are self-made people. For decades now, since 1998 when the UPND was born and every Tonga labeled UPND, they have survived and thrived on their own. They are not the type that line for jobs, even now in Bally’s Zambia.

Yet against the background of hate and discrimination, God spoke. And a week ago, President Hakainde Hichilema (aka ‘Bally’) appointed a cabinet that even his critics have called a ‘well-balanced’ cabinet. ‘Balanced’ in the sense that all provinces and major ethnic groups see themselves in it.

Veteran politician and former Veep Enock Kavindele told The Mast newspaper, “It’s been a carefully chosen Cabinet, encompassing all regions of Zambia. The President has done it; no wonder it took him so long to come up with his Cabinet because he was doing all these things.”

Mind you, in this ‘balancing act’, a number of deserving Tongas and their allies who stood tall, toiled and sacrificed for the party and Bally for years, have been sacrificed yet again. Have you heard them complain? No. Yet, for years the PF tribalists labeled Bally tribalist and his party, the UPND, a tribal or regional party. Fred Mmembe and the Post Newspaper, an influential PF ally of the PF at the time, even called Southern Province a Bantustan.

Chishimba Kambwili, PF’s hired tribal goon before the elections, was all over the country claiming that if HH and UPND won, all positions would be filled by “HaHas” (sic), in his own words. He could utter these claims without the shame of how PF’s own appointments in cabinet, permanent secretaries, directors, boards of parastatals, etc had been systematically mooted to sideline and ‘punish’ Tongas and their allies. Even for the eight appointed MPs, Lungu appointed the likes of Mumbi Phiri, Bwalya Ngandu, etc other than to co-opt other tribes with even better expertise. For Instance why Ngandu instead of Mugande or Hyvie Hamududu for Finance Minister?

Bally’s cabinet appointments confirm what I published in July this year in this column in the article titled, The Arrogance of Insulting a People and Expecting Their Vote.

Here is what I said, For the information of those without capacity to read political history, though some call themselves ‘Dr’ Chakuti, Tonga’s are not tribal nor selfish. In 1959 Mainza Choma founded UNIP but ceded power to Kenneth Kaunda once he was released from jail. In 1953 ‘Old Major’ Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula and his ANC had to team up with Kaunda;s UNIP to defeat the colonial party and win our independence. In 1972 Nkumbula again ceded power and signed the unity accord for a one party state even though he didn’t have to. He didn’t even take any post in the unified UNIP government. That is how the fierce rivalry between Kaunda and Simon Kapwepwe, whose base was Bembaland, eased. Legend also has it that when the freedom fighters were invited to London to negotiate our independence, Southerners sold their cattle to make the trip possible.

In 1991, Southern Province gave Frederick Chiluba, a Bemba, 100%. Again in 1996, even with his incarceration of Dean Mungomba and Princess Nakatindi Wina et al and, worse, barring of Dr Kaunda from standing, Southern Province still gave Chiluba another 100%. Further, in 2001, 2006 and even 2011, there were other Tonga presidential candidates, the likes of Shamapande, Magande, etc, but the non-Tonga – Rupiah Banda and Michael Sata – still got better votes than these Tonga candidates.

So, if the Tongas and their allies decide to have a share of the political cake, what’s wrong with that? And, if the Southerners and their allies see quality in candidates other than yours, what’s wrong with that? The same hypocrites’ keep saying Anderson Mazoka was the best man for the job in 2001 but fall shot to state which regions failed him. Did you hear the Tongas and their allies accuse certain regions of tribalism? Before blaming people’s choices, answer in honest, who had better credentials and personal accomplishments for the job between Lungu and Hichilema in 2015, 2016 and even now?

Finally at a personal level, come and see whom we live with, whom our loved ones are, whom we do business with, whom we employ on our farms, homes and businesses. Come and see whom we have children with, whom our friends are, etc. HOW DARE YOU. By the way, why have you failed to publicize your commission’s report on voting patterns?”

In contrast to Bally, Lungu run a government of hate and ethnic cleansing in both words and deeds. Just to cite a few examples, before the 2021 elections ECZ suspended PF cadre Chishimba Kambwili “for systematically campaigning on tribal lines and for hate speech.” ECZ said, “the Commission has noted with concern the breach of the electoral code of conduct by Mr. Kambwili’s use of hate speech and holding of campaign rallies despite the guidance provided.” However, with influence (ostensibly) from above, Kambwili’s suspension was to be lifted within days.

I proffered in the article I cite above that Kambwili;s tirade of hate speech against the people of Southern Province was not an isolated case. Demonisation of ethnic groups that didn’t agree with them was in the PF’s DNA. Founder Michael Sata once called the people of North Western province ‘buttocks’. In 2015, way before the 2016 general election, Davies Mwila – then PF Secretary General –insulted the people of Southern province. He refused to apologise and his boss President Edgar Lungu refused to admonish or fire him.

Chama said, “Tongas will never rule the country, unless maybe in 100 years’ time if they multiply themselves since they were polygamous by nature.” He uttered these words simply out of hate for Hichilema, their political opponent. Later the same year, Chama boasted that Lungu was a very strong person who resisted the pressure to fire him over his Tonga remarks. “President Lungu is the strongest person I have ever met in my lifetime because ine ngabali kolopa kale (I would have been mopped out already). You remember the problems I brought to the President and the party about the Tonga issue? Although I didn’t do it, the media was bombarding and the President was under pressure, but he is such a strong person.”

Despite the calls to the President to fire him, Chama survived and was rewarded with the Presidential nomination of MP and subsequently appointed Minister of Defense, a superior cabinet portfolios. Kambwili, then chief Government Spokesperson, arrogantly told the Southern province chiefs that Chama had refused to apologise so they should kill him if they wanted.

On 25th July 2016, while campaigning at Kabundi ground in Chingola, the same Kambwili was on a warpath telling the crowd that “Tongas in Southern Province only vote for UPND and tribesman Hichilema with a view to being ruled by a Tonga.” Ahead the Chilubi by-election in February 2020, Nkandu Luo, who became Lungu’s running mate in 2021, told voters that there was no way a Tonga from Monze would come to ‘pyana’(replace) her, a Bisa. The rant was indirectly targeted at the UPND candidate, a local, but was in apparent reference to Hichilema, the UPND leader, who hails from Monze. Hachilema was not even on the ballot.

On 27th July 2019 Lungu said, “We will one day have a Tonga President but certainly not the current aspirant.” Richard Waga, a blogger, answered back: “President Edgar Lungu’s sentiment that one day a Tonga will be president but not UPND President Hakainde Hichilema are condescending, tribal and divisive. He is telling Zambians that tribe is a factor when choosing leaders. He is telling Zambians the electoral system is not open enough for anyone to aspire for office. He is confirming the tribal narrative we hear among some PF flunkies who hate the idea of a Tonga president.”

Hate, discrimination and ethnic cleansing were the PF trademarks. They were clueless, statesman-less politicians, who had no clue that when you target to victimize a people, they coalesce as a survival strategy. They had no clue how to pull the country together and woo voters other than by force and deceit. They tried to mask their unbridled tribalism by calling others tribal and slogans such as One Zambia One Nation on ZNBC.

So says the bible, ‘you shall know them by their actions.” Indeed Zambians can now see and contrast the difference between Lungu’s PF and Bally’s UPND on leadership. Hence I proffer that Bally’s cabinet pick has shamed them, if at all they have shame. Yet, it is worth remembering Shaka’s wise words, “Never leave an enemy behind, or it will rise again to fly at your throat.”
These people and/or their ‘sniffer dogs’ are still occupying strategic and sensitive positions in government.

If UPND lost the August elections, was Charmaine Musonda and Charity Lumpa going to defect, to join them?

0

“YOU IDIOTS, GO BACK TO PF”

The Candidates’ Comment

Yesterday, Charmaine Mehl Musonda and Charity Chanda Lumpa went to the United Party for National Development (UPND) to officially join the ruling party from the Patriotic Front (PF).

The defection of these two was not received with both hands by many ordinary members of the ruling party. When these ordinary members of UPND heard that Charmaine and Charity were going to defect, they mobilized themselves and rushed to their Secretariat in order to stop the procession. But being ordinary members as they are, these people could not manage to achieve their agenda. The UPND Secretary General as well as other senior officials of the ruling party forced down on the throat of these ordinary members the defection of Charmaine and Charity. Throughout the speech of Charity, UPND members hurled insults and said “you idiots go back to PF”.

Of course these ordinary members of the UPND have every right to call Charmaine and Charity idiots. How else can you address elements that have no morals?

Everyone who is rational and honest with themselves will agree that these ordinary members of the ruling party have every right to reject political prostitutes like Charmaine and Charity. What are they taking to UPND, now that it is in power, which they could not take when it was in opposition?

If UPND lost the August elections, was Charmaine and Charity going to defect, to join them? Where they going to leave the PF for UPND? These are very important questions that need to be answered by the leadership in the ruling party. Of course we know that those two political prostitutes have defected to UPND because they are opportunists, ba muselela kwakaba. These are elements that have difficulties with being in opposition. If – God forbid – there was an election today due to unforeseen circumstances and UPND lost that election to any party, those opportunists can without doubt migrate to the new ruling party.

This is so because these vultures, opportunists have no sense of shame and scruples. What drives them to do anything is their inherent opportunism. They are elements who believe in nothing but their personal good and comfort. As such, it is that need to gratify what is pleasurable to them that drives them to do certain things, however stupid and unprincipled they may appear.

What is it that UPND will really benefit from unprincipled and political prostitutes like Charmaine and Charity? If UPND does not admit those opportunists, will it be worse off than they would be without them?

The rage expressed by many ordinary UPND members against the defection of political prostitutes of all sorts is justifiable. Many of these ordinary members of the ruling party have been with UPND for a very long time and have sacrificed a lot. They endured a lot during the time that these opportunists where busy enjoying at the table of corruption of the previous administration.

Charity cannot claim to have seen the good of UPND now that this party is in power. When did she start seeing that UPND and its leadership were good? Charmaine cannot claim that UPND is a good party. When did she begin to view it in such a way when, not very long ago, she left this party and denounced it?

Our advice to UPND and its leadership is that, it may look very fashionable to accept and admit these political prostitutes but the majority Zambians will not support this. Zambians wanted change and that change comes with change of faces like the same political prostitutes you are today giving prominence.

To UPND general and ordinary members, the victory is yours and the party belongs to you. Do not allow those political prostitutes to take away that entitlement.

Trust Me, HH Is Being Watched By The World As The New Kid On The Block, He Was Exceptional- Chilufya Tayali

TRUST ME, HH IS BEING WATCHED BY THE WORLD AS THE NEW KID ON THE BLOCK, HE WAS EXCEPTIONAL
===================
I will start by saying, President Hichilema has raised the bar on Public speaking, if you want to learn the art of “Public Speaking” just watch his speech and practice it as many times as you can. This includes some of the Presidents who claim to be better than HH.

Secondly, and most important, HH has already won massive GOODWILL from many developed Countries and big organisations such as the IMF, just by that speech. Trust me, that speech will translate into Billions of Dollas for Zambians.

Thirdly, President Hichilema, earned Zambia and Africa respect, that we are not brutes just because we are blacks. He showed the World that Zambia and Africa has great leaders too.

I know all Presidents where being applauded after their speeches, but go back and hear how resounding and loud the applause our President got.

The content of the speech was also far beyond fulfilling the duty to deliver it. It was sensible, relevant, logical, tactful and intelligent.

HH raised the name of KK as a legend, an Icon of liberation struggle in Africa and one of the pioneers of the African Union. HH made an indelible footprint of “KK” on the UN.

Most remarkable is the smart way he did it, he laid it on the table without the controversy of Africans needing to be recognised like the Julius Malema way.

He just put it there, that this guy (KK) did great things for the World, living his audience to conclude that, therefore, he was a great guy needing recognition.

If you are sharp, you would see that HH drew the World, especially developed, to put priority in fighting the pandemic and helping the Third World.

As the leader of the third World he did not present himself as a cheap begger (mushanina bwali) for the vaccines but still asked for them by telling off the developed Countries that, they have vaccinated a lot more people than us, yet good health is a precursor for economic development, among other things.

I almost jumped off my chair when the President joined other African leaders to demand for a permanent seat at the UN, again in a very smart way.

Clearly, the man from Bwengwa did us proud and we should expect a lot more coming with this good start. Let’s just give him time and support. He will deliver, but if he doesn’t, he will not get these nice words from me.

ZAMBIANS INTERNET ROASTS EFF PRESIDENT MR JOSEPH MWENDA FOR HIS FREE EDUCATION PROTEST THAT GOT HIM ARRESTED IN KITWE AS PILATO ALSO RECEIVES A BITTER RESPONSE TRYING TO ADVOCATE FOR MR MWENDA’S SUPPORT.

EFF president Mr Joseph Kasonde Mwenda who has been a popular vloger famously known for his videos of “our feets shall take us there” has received highest backlash from Zambians on Facebook calling him childish, dull, immature and too early to call for free education when government hasn’t settled well.

Mr Mwenda staged a lone prorest in Kitwe demanding for free education a situation that got him locked up by the police as way of protecting him as members of the public in Kitwe almost beat him for disturbing them.

Mr Mwenda”s page went under extreme fire from youths who accused him of seeking attention and not getting a permit from the police. And Musician Chama Fumba populary known as Pilato tried to advocate for the release of Mr Mwenda seeking that it’s a freedom of expression. He too was roasted beyond words yesterday.

MINISTER OF MINES KABUSWE TOURS MOPANI MINE, ADVISES MANAGEMENT TO WORK PROFESSIONALLY

Tuesday, 21 September 2021

“I’m a happy man now, I can see some lifespan in Mopani.”

Minister of Mine Honourable Paul Kabuswe has toured Mopani Copper Mine plc on a fact finding mission.

Speaking to the Management of MOPANI during the tour of both Nkana and Mufurila Plants, Honourable Kabuswe expressed happinesses with the Modern Infrustracture and the Investment in the mine.

He said the situation at Mopani has rejuvenated his hopes in the mining industry for the future of MOPANI Mine. Honourable Kabuswe asked Mopani Management under ZCCM-IH not to sideline Zambians suppliers in preference to foreigners when awarding Contracts.

“Please, I don’t want to see a situation where foreigners are awarded contract disadvantaging Zambians, Zambia and Zambians are next to my heart and our interest as UPND and New Dawn government will be that of the people of Zambia. If possible, foreigners should Partner with Zambians to supply these Mines. I want you Management to be professional, we will not influence your operations as politicians or cadres, like we used to see in the past regime. I know you were working under very difficult environment but the New Dawn government is here to see Zambians benefit from their mineral resources.” he said.

Honourable Kabuswe further said the New Dawn Government will support every good effort to the ZCCM-IH to see the mine grow but he was not in a position to tell the next step government will take till his Excellence gives policy direction.

Meanwhile, CEO MOPANI, Mr Charles Sakanya has assured the Minister that Zambians are capable of running the Mines provided government provide good and constant policies. He said the Company has managed to reduce the number of expatriates to create room for the skills locally. He further said MOPANI has made profit of $57 million and projected another increase next year.

The Mines Minister also toured MCTC College and was impressed with the type of skill transfer at the institution. Mopani was put on care and mantaince last year after Glencore pulled out of MOPANI sighting production challenges.

Investigate Us, We Didnt Carry Our Offices, PF Tells Govt

INVESTIGATE US, WE DIDNT CARRY OUR OFFICES, PF TELLS GOVERNMENT

By Mwenya Mofya,

PF deputy national chairperson Davies Chama says no one can stop the UPND government if they want to use the fight against corruption as a scapegoat to avoid delivering on their campaign promises.

And Chama says there are no internal wrangles in PF, arguing that people are just imagining something which is not there.

In an interview, Chama said law enforcement agencies were free to carry out investigations as PF officials did not move with their offices or documents.

“I do not have the instruments of power. Those who have the instruments of power, if that is top on their agenda in terms of delivery on what they have promised the Zambian people, then that is what they want to focus on. I can only say that when I served as Minister and vacated the position as Minister, I did not move with my office, the building and documents, so the office is still at the Ministry of Defence. The building is still at the Ministry of Defence and the officers are still at the Ministry of Defence,” Chama said.

“So those who want to focus on investigations as opposed to delivering to what they promised the Zambian people, if that is their priority or their scapegoat not to deliver what they promised, that is up to them. No one can stop them if that is their focus and that is their number one priority. If that is what will bring the food on the table or reduce the price of commodities, if that will also provide free education that they promised, if that will also bring down the price of fertilizer and if they think that is a priority for them to deliver what they promised the Zambian people, the buildings and offices are there, let them investigate. We did not move with the offices and documents.”

And Chama said the PF made sure that it delivered on what it promised to the Zambian people.

“I cannot speak for them so you can call and question them. For us when we went into power to make sure that we transform and we transformed, we made sure that we delivered what we promised to the Zambian people. For them, if their priority is to witch-hunt and start fishing in the ducks looking for shadows let them continue,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chama said there were no internal wrangles in PF.

“There is no internal friction. I think if you have followed the statements that have been issued after whatever happened, there is no truth to the internal friction. People are just imagining something that is not there. I think it is not a secret, the SG, the president and Ng’onga Mukupa made statements to that effect that they will be exiting their positions. So there is no internal friction that is taking place. I think people are imagining things that are not there. There are no internal frictions. Zambia is full of speculations and I do not operate on speculation myself. I am not part of people who speculate and people who do that, do not have anything to do,” said Chama.

“They want to speculate and come up with their own things that they can imagine in their brains. There is too much speculation on social media and everywhere but I can confirm that there is no internal friction. People can make their own decisions and they made their positions very clear some time back. A number of statements have been issued. The former secretary general Mr Davies Mwila has indicated that they will be vacating these positions and it is in public domain. So why should people continue to speculate? I do not know why some of the people do not want to believe when you say something and they still want to speculate anyway. So those who want to speculate let them speculate.”

UPND WILL NOT RULE BEYOND 5 YEARS…in The Event I’m Elected PF President- Kambwili

UPND WILL NOT RULE BEYOND 5 YEARS…in the event I’m elected PF president, says Kambwili

By Patson Chilemba

UPND will only be in power for five years in the event I am elected PF president, says Chishimba Kambwili.

And Kambwili has pleaded with his fellow party member, Lupososhi member of parliament Emmanuel Mpankata, to forgive him if there is anything wrong he has done against him, as he doesn’t understand where Mpankata’s hatred comes from.

Speaking with Daily Revelation, Kambwili responded to Mumbi Phiri’s statement that his name was coming out prominently to replace Edgar Lungu, saying he had no problem in taking over as he would not let the party down.

He said in 2014 when president Michael Sata died, the people called for president Lungu to take over despite his own ambitions and those of people like Given Lubinda, Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba and Christine Kaseba among others.

“At the end of the day the people’s voice prevailed. If members want me to take over the mantle, why not? I can only assure members that I will not let them down and I will accept the privilege to be president of a giant organisation,” Kambwili said.

But put across to him that Mpankata had recently said that people who could not hold their ambitions left the party but were now back to take over the presidency, and were using money to influence youths because they felt the party was now broke, Kambwili said Mpankata has always had a problem with him.

He said the issue of him going out and then coming back again to the party was “neither here nor there”, as president Lungu himself said PF was for everybody, when responding to murmurings on the appointments of new members Charles Kakoma and Kabinga Pande into the central committee.

He said it was shocking that Mpankata could begin to sow seeds of disunity.

“He has always harbored hatred for me from a long time, because Sata used to say ‘if I had five people like Chishimba Kambwili we would have formed government already’ during our time in the opposition. But he said ‘why does Sata always talk about Kambwili when I was the first MP in the party?’” Kambwili said. “I will not be surprised that he must be among the people who were calling for my expulsion from the party. Even if I become president in PF I will treat him as a brother…please if I have wronged you in anyway find it in your heart to forgive me.”

Kambwili said even when people called for him to chair the postmortem committee, Mpankata opposed saying they should not be appointing people who once left the party and caused its defeat.

“If I become president of PF, with all the support from everybody, including Mpankata, UPND will not jump the five year mark. That you can tick. They will only rule for five years, and after five years PF will bounce back,” Kambwili said. “At the moment I am giving them all the latitude to settle. I don’t want the way people were saying about UPND that they were bitter.”

He said the ruling UPND has a huge challenge to fulfill their expectations to the people.

Put across to him that Democratic Party (DP) leader Harry Kalaba said those in PF must first repent for the corruption, anti-democratic tendencies, using pangas in political violence and other vices before talking of rebranding, Kambwili said he was fired from government in 2016 while Kalaba remained part of government until around 2018, and therefore he must be part of the people apologising to Zambians, including Science and Technology minister Felix Mutati.

Taking a dig at President Hakainde Hichilema who has left the country within the first month of being elected, Kambwili said Sata took his first trip outside the country after six months of being elected even when he was invited to address the Commonwealth in Australia earlier.

“He said he wanted to settle his government first…(but) I can’t fault Bally on that because each person has his own way of handling things,” he said.

Asked on what basis people should trust him that he will remain still in PF when the going gets tough, when he has flip flopped in the past, uttering a lot against PF and that he was committed to the NDC and the opposition alliance before u-turning and rejoining the same party, and suddenly launching attacks on the opposition again, Kambwili said politics has seasons as not everything that glitters was gold.

He said even Vice-President Mutale Nalumango used to say a lot against President Hichilema during her time in the MMD.

“My DNA is PF, so you can see now I attach great importance to the PF,” said Kambwili.

Plans To Arrest Me – Former President Ian Khama

0

PLANS TO ARREST ME – FORMER PRESIDENT IAN KHAMA

He writes…

Abuse of the DISS for political motives must stop.

1. I must respond to and counter the ongoing attempts by the Masisi regime clearly calculated to retaliate against recent court judgements that went against the state. It is no one’s fault that the judgements are coming out in this manner because the outcomes are self-inflicted due to the regime’s abuse of the rule of law and our constitution.

2. The latest episode of this plot, this past week, is a planned attempt by the DISS to raid or arrest me, as I understand it, or to implicate innocent members of my private security in recent episodes of cash-in-transit heists in Botswana. They have further tried to link me to weapons that they claim to have confiscated from their suspects, which weapons do not and have never belonged to me or any of my security agents.

3. This must and will stop.

4. When the DISS was conceived and proposed by the Botswana Police during the time of former President Mogae and implemented during my time, it was meant to provide intelligence information to the State on matters of terrorism and high crimes that the transformed Botswana Police Service would not be best placed or equipped to deal with. It was not meant to harass and antagonise innocent citizens as it is happening now, or to serve or ‘cava’ selfish interests of any individual.

5. Much has been made of my entering the political space later on after my retirement where I became the patron of the Botswana Patriotic Front at the invitation of the founders of the political party. Well I want to address this matter here and disillusion those who may hold the view that I was motivated in this by some selfish interests, desire to hang on to power, or ill will against anybody. Nothing could be further from the truth.

6. Besides it being my democratic right as a Motswana to associate freely with whomever I choose to, I saw the need to join sections of our society who found like I did that our long cherished ideals and tradition of democracy under the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) had been lost and desecrated under Masisi’s BDP, where intolerance, vindictiveness and abuse of office and state resources, disregard for the rule of law and the welfare of citizens has become the norm. I could not and cannot continue to be associated with such an organisation.

7. Finally, the nation must know that I am concerned about Botswana, the welfare and abuse of our hard-working Public Service, the plight of our youth, the unemployed and the elderly. I will continue to do anything in my power and means to look after the best interests of Batswana.

8. I accept and respect criticism from those who do not share my views and have reason to do so. I also appreciate the support and the good will of the multitudes who cherish both my legacy in serving Botswana to the best of my abilities and my continuing efforts in service of our country.

Most Secret Conversation Between Obama And Hichilema Comes To Light

0

By Dr. Munyonzwe Hamalengwa on September 20, 2021

Washington DC, USA on a certain day in September 2021 at midnight. Barack Obama (BO) telephones Hakainde Hichilema (HH).

HH, I thought I should have a word with you before your meeting with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. You and I are alike in many respects. We were raised by single mothers with the help of grandparents and other relatives. We both are from very modest backgrounds. Education is what defines us. Education leveraged and equalised our opportunities. We both are focused and brilliant.

Though they say you are the Obama of Zambia and indeed Africa, I prefer to say that I am the HH of America but without much wealth as you do. We are unlikely Presidents of our respective countries. I listen to you giving speeches and I say wow, that is me.

Now, HH, I called you to warn you about some incredible landmines in the business of the presidency. One of the most difficult decisions I ever had to make was not to prosecute George W Bush for murder and war crimes. I was given overwhelming and provable evidence of George W Bush’s criminality and violations of the Constitution of the United States.

One dossier I got was an incredible book of evidence written by Vincent Bugliosi, a former LA prosecutor, the book entitled, “The Prosecution of George Bush for Murder”. What is contained in the book is enough to have put George on trial and secure a conviction for starting an unjustified war in Iraq which led to the death of thousands of innocent young Americans, and the majority were African Americans and poor whites.

I received anonymously several copies of that book when it came out but I had already a million pieces of evidence with which to put W on trial and have him convicted. And I would have been a most popular President if I prosecuted W. He was hated.

But, HH, I nearly prosecuted him but then I held back? At what cost to the fabric of the US. Which is more important, my popularity and guaranteed reelection or the unity and cohesion of these United States. I agonised. Michelle stated that I was on my own and it was my decision alone. You are a religious person and I read your FB postings every morning.

Brother HH you won’t be making the decision to strip president Edgar Chagwa Lungu (ECL) of his immunity alone. You have good company in your life. You will get guidance. Besides you already have precedents in Zambia for stripping the immunity and prosecuting former heads of state.

HH, in America we have no such precedent and raising one with W was a most daunting dilemma It is the same monumental task Biden is facing with Trump though, like Bush, they were ripe for criminal prosecution. Trump may still face the music and Joe will pull you to a corner to discuss that aspect which he knows you are facing.

I also got a dossier of a great book of evidence against Donald Rumsfeld written by Centre for Constitutional Rights lawyer in New York Michael Ratner on “The Prosecution of Donald Rumsfeld”. I urge you to buy both books to guide you. Do you have scholars in Zambia who can write books on the Prosecution of Edgar Chagwa Lungu for looting and corruption? I bet you do.

HH, you have an unenviable task. I still receive secret security briefings and I can tell you that your supporters are angry and growing impatient at why you have not convoked a commission of inquiry into the restoration of looted property or prosecution of Edgar Chagwa Lungu and his cabal of alleged looters and cohorts of corruption. If you lose that critical constituency, you will not get it back. I got shellacked in the midterm of 2012. In Zambia you don’t have midterms.

That constituency from the reports I am reading is much more disaffected by the maintenance of the heads of the ACC, the DEC, ZRA, Zesco, RTSA, RDA, FRA, and others who were appointed by Lungu. HH, these people have no business still being the employees of your government.

By now you should have written them letters for them to write comprehensive reports about their conduct under the reign of ECL. Why did they not pursue cases of corruption? What impediments were placed before them? What evidence can they release now about any suppressed evidence? Do they have any confessions to make? Can they be whistle blowers? Where are the bodies buried?

HH, your constituency is crying that these bodies are incapable of mounting serious investigations. They are allegedly incompetent and already compromised. They are already corrupted, HH. Some of them may have been eating from the sane trough as the looters and the corrupt. There is no way they did not participate. Why are you still keeping them? In the US, the equivalent offices that I have mentioned above resign immediately the president who appointed them loses an election.

Let me tell you something HH, many apartheid criminals in South Africa got away with impunity for two reasons: they didn’t confess because they knew that if they were prosecuted, agents of apartheid who were still dominating the investigative , prosecutorial and judicial system would be the ones to investigate, prosecute and pass judgments on them and nothing would happen because these agents would essentially be exposing their own crimes if they revealed the truth.

The second reason is that agents of apartheid destroyed millions of pieces of incriminating evidence and indeed when these criminals who didn’t confess were prosecuted they were acquitted by the holdover apartheid criminals.

There are many studies on the South African experiment and how criminals got away with impunity. See Munyonzwe Hamalengwa, “Getting Away With Impunity: South African Apartheid Criminals and International Criminal Law”. Would Zambian looters and the corrupt get away with impunity?

HH, one such criminal where there was overwhelming evidence of his crimes against humanity under apartheid was one Walter Basson, otherwise known as Dr Death. This is a guy who admitted infecting thousands of Blacks with HIV and dropping hundreds of live Black South Africans over the Atlantic Ocean to be eaten by sharks below and many other horrible deaths. The investigation by agents of apartheid were shoddy but there was nonetheless enough evidence for his conviction but was acquitted by an apartheid judge who had excluded rims of incriminating evidence. HH, you can’t use the same prosecutors, ACC, DEC etc and same judges who protected these criminals before to now vigorously prosecute the birds of the same feathers? In Zambia, the evidence of massive PF looting and corruption is there. You don’t need these characters to continue in their employment at tax payer expense. Learn from how apartheid criminals got away with impunity.

You can never win the hearts and minds of the heads of ACC, DEC, RTSA, FRA, Police, Zesco, etc put there by someone who had vowed to put you in jail for a privatisation conundrum that happened three decades ago and someone who had already detained you 15 times. ECL doesn’t even know that judge Kabazo Chanda of the High Court as he then was, had dismissed judicially any inquiries pertaining to privatization, ruling that the programme was approved by the Executive and the Legislature.

HH, the Walter Basson case was appealed all the way to the ConCourt. The new Court reversed the acquittal and stated categorically that South Africa is obligated to retry Basson under the exigencies of international criminal law encompassing apartheid as a crime against humanity since South Africa was a signatory to international criminal conventions.

Guess what HH, the South African president at the time was Jacob Zuma and he ignored the recommendation. Basson remained and remains a free man. Will Zambia enable the ECL criminals to enjoy impunity? Show that corrupt criminals don’t luxuriate in impunity like the apartheid criminals? Zambian Professor Kenneth Mwenda recommends reverse onus situation when it comes to the prosecution of the perpetrators of corruption.

Didn’t your prominent lawyer John Sangwa SC disclose that the ECL PF party was more like a criminal organisation than anything else? When you let these criminals get away with impunity, you are enhancing the image of organised state criminality as being infused in the new fabric of the new dawn government. Don’t embrace these criminals.

Like you HH, we used to have difficulties in prosecuting mafia organised criminality until we started using unorthodox organised criminals racketeering laws. Do you have such laws in Zambia? Ask Joe to send a team to help you draft a raft of such laws. You can’t prosecute Zambia organised PF state criminality with old tired laws using same old tired corrupt ACC, DEC, DPP etc. It is the new dawn, HH! There must be evidence on the corruption front. Keeping these people does not offer Zambians the succour that they fought so hard for.

HH, Zuma even tried to prevent victims of the crime of apartheid from seeking reparations in the US courts under the Alien Torts Act of 1787. Zuma became an epitome of state capture. He even facilitated the escape of war criminal Al Bashir from Sudan under an ICC warrant. But Bashir was eventually overthrown in Sudan and is now under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court. These criminals should not escape with impunity

Here, HH, I am really troubled as I make these pronouncements. We let George W and Donald Rumsfeld walk away with impunity just like apartheid criminals. Trump may also walk away. Some people are saying the same thing about me that I killed a lot of people through the use of drones without affording those killed the prior due process of the law.

HH, I have sleepless nights but I can justify what I did on the basis of self defence. Can this defence stand in a court of law? There is no precedent. HH, do the right thing and you have company on your side as I can see from your daily morning postings. Go see Joe now.

MOST OF THEM ARE NOT HAPPY AND WILL TRY BY ALL MEANS TO SEARCH FOR NEGATIVES BUT PLEASE KNOW THAT WHATEVER THEY WILL MUSHROOM IS IN THE PAST AND NOT NEW.

I respect the President and the people of Zambia whom I stood with in hard times. I CAN NOT BE LOVED BY EVERYONE AND THAT I ACCEPT.

To my old friends I wish to thank you so much and I hope you will understand that now I can’t be in places where we used to be found and I can’t just do anything. I love you BUT I PRAY YOU LOVE ME SO MUCH THAT YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT MY ROLE IS BIGGER AND COMES WITH RESPONSIBILITIES.

MAJORITY OF THOSE THAT HATE ME WILL BRING BACK MY PAST LIFE AS A SOCIALITE WITH THE VIEW OF DENTING MY IMAGE. BUT I WISH TO ASSURE YOU THAT MY SOCIALITE LIFE IS OVER AND I CANNOT AND WILL NOT DO WHAT I COULD DO BACK IN THE DAYS. THE PAST IS OVER AND I ASK YOU ALL TO MOVE ON WITH ME ON THIS JOURNEY

I now have a bigger role to play and so I want to respect the Zambian people who in large numbers voted for President Hakainde Hichilema under whose office am serving as Presidential Photographer.

I AM NOW IN THE CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYED BY THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE WHOM I RESPECT AND WISH TO SERVE DILIGENTLY AND THE PRESIDENT WHO HAS TRUSTED ME WITH THIS RESPONSIBILITY

GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND IT WAS NICE INTERACTING HERE ON FACEBOOK

How To Suck Breasts: 12 Tips Women Wish Men Knew

0

If there’s one thing that guys love almost as much as they love a vagina, it’s boobs. Throughout the centuries, men have praised women’s breasts — wanting to look at them, play with them, and suck on them.

But as awesome as breasts are for both the person playing with them and the person they’re attached to, sometimes breast owners really wish they had a user manual so they could teach their lovers how to suck boobs the right way.

After all, if done just so, it is entirely possible for women (and men) to have nipple orgasms.

To help out in that department, I’ve written this brief guide for anyone interested in taking their nipple and breast play game up a notch or ten.
Here are 12 tips for men on how to suck boobs and play with nipples to turn a woman on.

1. Make sure the woman in question likes having her boobs sucked or played with.

Some women really aren’t sensitive there at all, so don’t get upset if she doesn’t moan. It’s sad but true that some women just don’t have sensitive nipples, and others truly dislike the feeling of having theirs played with.

You can suck on them all you want if she gives you consent, but you’ll never really blow her mind no matter what you do if nipple play just doesn’t get her aroused.

2. Help her relax first with a gentle neck and shoulder massage.

Particularly if she has large breasts, a back massage and shoulder massage is a great prequel to breast play. Breasts can get very heavy, and that means some women can get back pain just from hauling them around all day.

If you want her to relax, a foreplay to the foreplay back massage can help.

3. Gently knead her breasts with the same kind of motion.

It’s rare to find a woman who isn’t happy to receive a breast massage from the person she’s into.

Believe it or not, it’s possible for women to carry some tension in their chest muscles. This is particularly true if it’s during that time of the month.

4. Keep in mind that the size of her breasts has nothing to do with her pleasure.

The size of a woman’s breasts does not influence how sensitive her breasts or nipples are. There are some flat-chested women who really prefer getting their boobs sucked more than receiving oral sex. There are large-chested women out there who are very “meh” about anything involving their breasts.

Basically, don’t assume things because of her size.

5. Pay attention to the way she touches herself.

A good way to tell if and how she wants you to play with her boobs is by watching to see if and how she puts her (or your) hands on them.

If she’s trying to seduce you and if she does this, chances are she wants you to play with her breasts a bit. She probably wants you to suck on them, too. Don’t go off track and start playing with a different body part she’s not trying to call your attention to.

6. Don’t limit yourself to playing with her nipples.

Depending on the woman, the entire area around her breasts can be pretty sensitive. Focusing in on the nipples may not do much for some women when you’re ignoring the rest of a fairly large erogenous zone.

7. Don’t get aggressive unless she asks you to.

Please don’t assume a woman wants you to create a vacuum seal on her nipples. Getting too aggressive often just makes the entire experience painful.

8. Do not bite her nipples or breasts unless she tells you it’s OK.

As mentioned above, women’s breasts vary in sensitivity. Some women love a little biting, some love a lot of biting, and some don’t like any biting or nibbling at all.

It’s an entire spectrum, and that means that it’s best to be careful until you actually learn a bit about the boobs you’re touching. If you aren’t sure how rough or gentle you should be, ask her.

9. Don’t get too focused on whether or not her nipples are erect.

Nipples have a mind of their own. If you’re sucking on them and they don’t get erect, please don’t think she’s not having fun.

A woman really can’t control what her nipples do. Much like your penis, nipples don’t always do what they’re “supposed” to do when they’re supposed to do it.

10. Don’t be afraid of a little breast milk.

Be aware that if you suck on her boobs frequently and vigorously enough, there’s a chance she might lactate. This is true for both women who have had kids and women who haven’t.

It’s usually not a lot of milk unless you actually put in the effort to make a lot of milk happen. Plain and simple, don’t freak if it happens.

11. If that turns you on, ask her if she’s OK with you trying to make her lactate.

Some women aren’t just OK with breastfeeding their boyfriends, they actually love it. This is one of those things that some women find weird, but others find very intimate.

If you are into that idea, there’s no problem with at least broaching the subject.

12. Don’t stress about whether or not you’re doing a good job.

Most women love it when the man they’re with gets excited about foreplay — breast sucking and touching included. It shows us you care in the most awesome way possible.

Don’t worry about whether or not you’re doing it well enough. If you’ve followed the advice above and she’s still there and seems to be enjoying herself, chances are she’s having an excellent experience.

Self proclaimed Prophet of God shows off how paradise looks like to his congregation

Self proclaimed Prophet of God shows off how paradise looks like to his congregation.

Most of us we are not new to this particular character, pastor Daniel Lesego. The founder of Rabboni Centre in Pretoria. Some people call him, the grass pastor, some they call him the snake pastor.

He is got different kind of names for doing funny stuff in the front of his congregation. I don’t know the kind of power that this pastor have, that he can pray for his congregants and command them to go and eat grass, they will run and do that without asking questions. They will actually tell you that the grass tested like chocolate, that’s how powerful are the strange powers he has.242403307_1644955485853944_1199576524364954860_n

The other time he was preaching holding a snake on the pulpit, the suit that he was wearing was matching the colours of the skin of that snake. He also have a spiritual son, Paniel Mnguni, who was giving people snakes to eat and the people would say it doesn’t taste like a snake at all. They say it is actually nice.

I don’t know what level of hypnotisation that they have over the people. Wherever they have taken those powers from, or wherever they have learned to do the things that they are doing, whoever trained them is a professional witch.

This guy is very controversial, also last time when I checked, he did not have a wife. How would you trust a single pastor of his age with your wives? How would you trust a single pastor of his age with your daughters? There is nothing like he has self-control, or Jesus told him not to marry, because even most faithful pastors that we know, they were tempted in one or two sexual issues. What about the person of his controversial status?242491538_4278419288942730_9123252291335591041_n

So now he’s sleeping on a bed, saying he is showing his congregants how paradise look like, how heaven look like, but we know that these guy is always a comedian. They are very innovative on bringing controversy to the people. They are very innovative on destroying the integrity of the gospel of Jesus Christ. One thing I know is that, their time is almost up, there will come a time where God will wipe them on the face of the Earth, because the Lord want His church back.

The lord wants to raise Shepherds after his own heart. People that will look for his sheep, people that fears him, that have the interest of the gospel integrity at heart. This the Lord is going to do without fail. See him, he is demonstrating Paradise sleeping on that bed.242418826_4278419145609411_7243404979271857264_n

A lot of comments have responded to that with so much anger and confusion, asking themselves is this really necessary? Instead of the pastor buy some innovative things that will empower people for Christ, he will go and buy a bed and flowers, saying wants to show them how paradise look like, and then what? Did he have a vision of paradise? Was he ever taken to Paradise? This is a joke, making a joke of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, but God will fight for himself.

UPND Responds To PF’s Allegations Of Alleged Unprofessional Conduct By Police

UPND RESPONDS TO PF’S ALLEGATIONS OF ALLEGED UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCT BY POLICE

……..Lubinda is a hypocrite, we just inherited a police service his party destroyed.

LUSAKA – We are shocked by opposition Patriotic Front (PF) vice-president Given Lubinda’s complaints against the alleged unprofessional conduct of the Zambia Police and yet that is the same police that his defeated government left in place.

Mr Lubinda further accuses President Hakainde Hichilema of playing double standards by undertaking to uphold the rule law and yet playing a blind eye at the alleged torture of PF members in the aftermath of the former ruling party’s crashing defeat in the 12 August general elections.

What Mr Lubinda conveniently forgot at his press conference held in Lusaka today, September 12, 2021, was that President Hichilema is not a law enforcement officer as he has given law enforcement agencies the latitude to carry out their mandate without the political interference that was rife during the PF’s autocratic rule.

Unlike former president Edgar Lungu who had threatened that he would arrest Mr Hichilema if he were to win the August 12 presidential election, the current president has left this task to the Zambia Police.

How can Mr Lubinda today see the unprofessionalism of the police when he never saw any of that during the PF’s 10-year rule in which the men in uniform were turned against the Zambian citizens whom they were supposed to protect?

When did the unprofessionalism that Mr Lubinda is ranting about begin when the United Party for National Development (UPND) Alliance has only been in office for one month?
We want to put it categorically clear that, as the UPND Alliance, we do not condone any form of violence against any Zambian citizen and we have continued to condemn such acts whenever they have reared their ugly heads.

It is for this reason that we have always been quick to appeal to the Zambia Police to arrest anyone found wanting, regardless of their party affiliation as we are fully aware that we are all Zambian before any political party consideration.

In the past, whenever we complained against the unprofessional conduct of the Zambia Police, we were accused of being cry-babies and Mr. Lubinda’s government told us the men in uniform were simply executing their mandate of maintaining law and order.

During our stay in government, we shall commit ourselves to ensuring that the Zambia Police are truly professional and this has to begin with the training the recruits undergo at the Lilayi Police College.

As the UPND Alliance in government, we are yet to carry out any police recruitment, and the so-called unprofessional police Mr Lubinda has begun to see are the same ones whom the PF left.

Alot of bad acts happened under the watch of the PF government in which Mr Lubinda was a cabinet minister for 10 years.

How can he now turn round and accuse his own police officers of being unprofessional?
This is the worst form of hypocrisy.

The PF worked very hard to destroy professionalism in the service by replacing it with cadrism and the country witnessed a police service that was scared of the PF hooligans.

However, the UPND policy is to ensure professionalism in the service and it is clear for everyone to see that despite the short period that the “New Dawn” Government has been in office, there are clear and convincing pronouncements by the Head of State to restore professionalism which was compromised during the PF’s reign.

Our men and women in uniform have responded to this call and it clear for everyone to see that the police is now responding in a professional manner.

Learn From Previous Governments, Allow Criticism- Amos Chanda Tells Chushi Kasanda

0

By Ulande Nkomesha,

AMOS Chanda says there should be no limits placed on freedom of expression because that threatens the very existence of freedom itself.

And Chanda says the UPND administration has an opportunity to benefit from mistakes made by previous governments by allowing criticism as early as possible.

Commenting on Information and Media Minister Chushi Kasanda’s remarks that citizens should exercise restraint as they exercise their “newly found” freedom of expression to avoid injuring others or causing acrimony in the country, Chanda urged Kasanda to emulate President Hakainde Hichilema who had declared that criticism would not be stamped upon.

“I think the Minister obviously was speaking for the first time and she was trying to lay down operating procedures in terms of engagement. What I suspect is that she was overcome by the pressures of government, straight from the opposition she is in government. She is seeing this government that has done, if you like, nothing wrong yet and there is this criticism. That is exactly the burden of government we used to talk about some of us to say that, when you are in the opposition you do not have a burden of responsibilities like those in government have. So, she actually thinks the criticism is unjustified,” Chanda said.

“The determination whether criticism is justified or unjustified is for the people of Zambia to make, it is not a call for a Minister to make. What the Minister needs to do is to take a cue from the President who has said that criticism as long as it is within the law will not be stamped upon. What she says in view runs counter to what the President is saying. When that criticism is genuine it should be made and there should be no limits placed on freedom of expression because that threatens the very existence of freedom itself.”

Chanda urged the Minister to also promote internal criticism, from within the UPND.

“It is the opportunity for the UPND government, an opportunity for the new government spokesperson, they can actually go on month after month with a clean sheet of zero mistakes if they take on those criticisms and they deal with it tomorrow. They shouldn’t wait until the criticism mounts because then they will be unable to deal with it. So respectfully, I disagree with the honourable Minister, I totally disagree with her position. That must be made by the Zambian people, that call must be made by the opposition actually,” he said.

“There ought to be, if I may speak now with my experience in government, I can advise that the honourable Minister must not constrain but actually promote even internal criticism. That must be promoted rather than constrained. When these avenues are, the safety valves are open, then there will be no pressure.

But when they are tied and locked, then there will be the ballooning of this pressure that will eventually make it difficult for the honourable Minister to deal with that criticism. So otherwise, she must do the opposite of what she is saying. She must take a cue from President HH who actually wants as much criticism as possible and that no person will go to jail for criticizing the government. I must emphasize that there must be a based agenda from within the UPND to allow internal criticism.”

And Chanda said the UPND should learn from the mistakes of previous governments by allowing criticism as early as possible.

“The value of democracy actually lies in debate. Who determines when the government will be criticised, it is the very day they are sworn in. The very minute the government is sworn in, the opposition should begin to hold that government accountable. If you ask me with the benefit of eyesight, the earlier the criticism sets in the better, it is like building immunity.

If you have never suffered from Malaria and it hits you for the first time then the consequences are usually fatal. So, the UPND has an opportunity to benefit from the mistakes that other previous governments have made by allowing criticism as early as possible and as much as possible,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chanda urged technocrats in Ministries to ensure that new Ministers were properly oriented.

“I would also want to urge my colleagues in the technocratic team that media training is essential for all new Ministers. We have a Commonwealth tradition, which unfortunately in this country is not practiced that one Minister ought to hand over to another Minister. So, there is value in the benefits of institutional memory that Ministers should get from their predecessors.

So, in the absence of one Minister handing over to the other, you get Ministers thrown at the deep end. I sympathize with her and therefore I urge the technocrats to do the decent thing, make sure that the Ministers are properly oriented,” said Chanda.

Contra To Assertions That It Will Be Difficult To Remove Lungu’s Immunity: Let Me Demonstrate How It Is Easy To Remove It

CONTRA TO ASSERTIONS THAT IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE FORMER PRESIDENT EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU’S IMMUNITY: LET ME DEMONSTRATE HOW IT IS EASY TO REMOVE IT

Firstly, PF is at its weakest point in its political existence and history after the excruciating defeat in the August 12, 2021, General Election which has seen high profiled party officials resigning or intending to resign.

So a number of PF MPs may be angry with ECL for leading them to the excruciating electoral defeat and may want to punish him too for his political arrogance.

Therefore, this is how easy it will be or is to remove Lungu’s immunity using the provisions of Article 98 of the Constitution of Zambia:

1) President HH has privileged information regarding his predecessor’s alleged misdeeds and commissions and omissions of his predecessor and in consultations with lawyers and state attorneys, a prima facie case can be established against his predecessor;

2) President HH has power to summon the National Assembly and constitute it into parliament with his presence and detail his findings against his predecessor;

3) The Speaker has powers to constitute a selective committee of Parliament with composition as her preserve which can’t be dictated by anybody;

4) The UPND has simple majority in Parliament to constitute that select committee which can easily find President EDGAR CHAGWA Lungu with a prima facie case;.

5) Precedence was set during the constitution of Bill 10 select committee which saw nominated MP in Raphael NAKACINDA, a faithful of President Lungu chairing the select Committee and the Committee composed of mostly pro Bill 10 MPs.

6) In parliament upnd has 90 MPs and, if the assumption of the 13 Independents, one PNUP, One Veep and one deputy speaker vote with UPND is to go by, the total number in favour of UPND will be 106 short of only 6 MPs.

This shortage can easily be solicited from some PF disgruntled MPs to meet the 112MPs 2/3 requirement for the removal of ex-President Lungu’s immunity.

This is the easiest assignment for UPND and President HH, I believe than the Bill 10 debacle which UPND had no numbers not even 1/3 majority but defeated the Bill, can be executed within hours of Parliament convening

So, those thinking that UPND and President HH will have an uphill battle and hard to remove Lungu’s immunity are just trying to tell President HH to quicken the pace of moving and removing Lungu’s immunity.

I submit.

HH wants Zambians’ Emotions Sufficiently Inflamed to support his Intention to lift President Lungu’s Immunity- Sean Tembo

0

By Sean Tembo – PeP President

1. Zambia is a beautiful country indeed. But the more things change, the more they remain the same. For me, perhaps my biggest undoing is my strong sense of fairness. I always believe that everyone must be treated fairly. By the way, treating someone fairly does not mean favoring them. It simply means adhering to the rules of natural justice. With the new administration coming into office, People’s expectations are obviously high. Each person has their own idea of the change that they want. Others believe that all those who were associated with the former PF regime must be lynched. But then, what kind of society would we be building if we did that? My belief has always been that we need to live in harmony as brothers and sisters if we are going to build this country into the great nation that it deserves to be.

2. That is to say those who served in the last administration need to be treated with dignity and respect. Of course the ones that erred and committed criminal offenses need to be charged and subjected to the due process of the law. But that should be done with dignity and humility. There is a thin line between persecution and prosecution. A few days ago, l complained about the high appetite by President Hakainde Hichilema’s administration to be sensational in their corruption fight. In recent days, we have seen the disclosure of intimate details of on-going corruption investigations such as the alleged purchase of a bank for K300 million by a former Councillor and more recently the alleged discovery of K65,330,000 cash and some dollars in a house in New Kasama, Lusaka. And yet no arrest has been made in any of these cases. As a former Police Officer, l can tell you that there is no decent investigative wing out there, worth their salt, that will disclose intimate details of an active investigation in which no one has been charged and arrested yet. Even if a case was to leak to the media, the standard response by any decent investigator is “No Comment”. Until such a time that the investigation has been concluded, the perpetrators and their conspirators of any, have been arrested and the case is ready for trial.

3. But what we are seeing under the new administration is totally different. We have investigative wings that are calling press briefings every day to update the public on the intimate details of ongoing major investigations. The question then becomes; to achieve what? It’s definitely not for purposes of building a strong case that can stand in court. A strong case cannot be built by sharing intimate details of an investigation with the public. By so doing, our investigative wings are simply arresting the co-conspirators to either run or destroy evidence. The end result is that these cases will be bungled and may not stand on all four when presented to the court. Guess who the biggest losers will be when that happens? You and l. Or in short, the Zambian people. Whatever money was stolen by members and associates of the former PF regime needs to be recovered and taken back to the treasury. But that can only happen if sober and professional investigations are done, and not this playing to the gallery that we are seeing.

4. The pattern that l am seeing here is that HH and his Government appear to be more in the business of portraying to the world how corrupt the PF administration was as opposed to prosecuting those specific members of the PF administration that stole and recovering the money. And here is the point fellow countrymen and women; when President Hichilema allows professional investigations to be undertaken which resulted in the arrest and conviction of perpetrators as well as recovery of stolen money, that is of benefit to the nation. It benefits you and l. However, when President Hichilema engages in grandstanding by merely portraying the former PF regime as corrupt through the media and ends up compromising these cases in court, that does not benefit you and l. It only benefits HH and his political fortunes. And my point here is that President Hichilema needs to act in a manner that puts the national interest first and not his personal or partisan political interests. We know that HH fought the PF for 15 years, and now that he is Head of State, he needs to focus on the national interest as opposed to continue with his fight against the PF, albeit now using state resources.

5. I know that some readers out there are asking to what end President Hichilema would decide to allow his law enforcement agencies to engage in grandstanding against the former PF regime as opposed to pursuing genuine cases in court. Well, my take is that HH wants to lift Lungu’s immunity and so he is trying to create a narrative for his next move. He is trying to inflame the emotions of the Zambian people and the surest way is to release sensational details of active investigations to the media. Details such as the purchase of a bank and its assets for K300 million by a mere Ward Councillor. Details such as that the coffers are empty even though there is US$2.9 billion. Details such as K65.33 million recovered, even if we have not seen pictures of the actual loot as the only pictures shown to us were downloaded from the internet. In other words, President Hichilema appears to have no intention to secure an actual conviction and recovery of stolen assets in court. Provided the emotions of Zambians are sufficiently inflamed to support the lifting of Lungu’s immunity, HH will be happy and he would’ve achieved his objective. In other words, you the Zambian people are being used as pawns in HH’s personal fight against Lungu, with no benefit to the nation.

6. And the worst part of all this drama is that we have seen it play out before. I for one remember vividly that day in 2002 when late former President Levy Mwanawasa addressed Parliament and made grandiose claims of criminality against late former President Fredrick Chiluba and his associates. We the Zambian people cheered and clapped for Mwanawasa at that time. But when the cases were taken to court, what was the end result? President Chiluba was vilified for owning expensive suits and shoes. Meanwhile Mwanawasa made his lawyer friends stinking rich as he paid the billions of Kwacha of taxpayers money for the private prosecutions against FTJ. And a lot of people’s lives were needlessly destroyed. People such as Faustin Kabwe and Aaron Chungu who had worked their butts off building a prosperous indigenous Zambian company; Access Financial Services Limited, had their company forfeited to the State for no sound reason whatsoever. All because Mwanawasa wanted to settle his personal beef against Chiluba? The question that each one of us must answer honestly today and now is; how much destruction of innocent people’s lives is acceptable as President Hichilema embarks on this familiar journey of settling his personal scores against former President Lungu? Fellow countrymen and women, I submit that President Hichilema should restrict himself to prosecution of alleged wrongdoers and not persecution.
