Lungu And The ECZ Are Raping Us By Imposing An Electoral Fraud – Sikaile Sikaile

LUNGU AND THE ECZ ARE RAPING US BY IMPOSING AN ELECTORAL FRAUD

The move by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to discard the old register is an Electoral fraud that we should not entertain. This is criminality being pushed by Edgar Lungu and his surrogates. When you deduct holidays, and weekends, we have exactly 20 days to register new voters, how possible is this?

If we are to win this battle, let it be a collective responsibility for all stakeholders and citizens who cares about Zambia. If we leave this fight for the opposition alone, then Zambia is gone.

Lungu is now used to get away with everything because he has seen how we easily forgotten important issues such as the gassing, funding rebels, burning markets, and corruptionin in PF government. Not long ago he made various threats to our national security by proclaiming that he will not handover power because he knows that he has taken over ECZ,Police and Judiciary. These institutions are Lungu’s many strength. He knows very well that citizens nolonger believes in his lies.

Esau Chulu and Nshindano are hired guns for Lungu and we should watch their maneuvers closely and demand for their removal as ECZ officials. There are so many rigging schemes being engineered by ECZ and PF. There are also ghost polling stations to be installed in Luapula, Muchinga, Northern, Eastern and part of Copperblt this project is being coordinated by Xavier Chungu who is parallel O.P. boss for rigging.

Zambia Police needs citizens moral support. Genuine police officers are suffering at the hands of PF thugs who are more respected by Lungu.

The death of Constable Mukela the young cop who died of depression his grave should have been turned into a shrine. That would have been a lift to the service which Lungu has replaced with criminals. First two days we all posted few articles on Facebook. Now we have forgotten what killed him. His death was facilitated by Edgar Lungu who choose to honor PF criminals who were about to shade innocent blood in Sesheke if the cops didn’t intervene.

We should have created a charity in his honour to help police officers wrongful dismissed for being professional. The problem is we the people who can not hold our institutions accountable thinking it is only the opposition leaders to do it. As citizens, the constitution of Zambia empowers us to hold the government accountable even in our individual capacities.

In Zambia we the people don’t know we are an integral part of governance. In Scotland a police can never move in public with an automatic riffle, or the people will demonstrate. Here in Zambia the government buys armored car with machine guns 35 milimetre caliber. We are smiling, those bullets are blind. They will kill people even on bed. PF government has armed their cadres who mostly will operate these machines and not real police officers. We should not allow ECZ to continue with their evil plans.

A cop shoots a baby and the minister call it collateral damage like it was in a war situation, when in fact it was few kids throwing stones.

Use of lethal weapon;

1.When an officer’s life is in danger.
2. When the public is in danger. In all these circumstances, the use of lethal force should be proportionate to the threat. Even then police shoot to mame not to kill. Tell me that kid Frank Mugala posed that threat to either the officers or public. What was interesting is the Aunt who is a deputy speaker of national assembly mumbled some few words and kept quiet. A good woman would have resigned that position and made the government to account. If they can’t even stand for their kids, can they stand for us? PF for you.

Today the PF government is busy assembling guns against Zambians without thinking about how such situations can negatively affects not only us who’re their targets, but including their extended family in the long run. Let us stand up for Zambia it is now or never.

PF government have killed, stolen, undermined our institutions and what will stop them imposing this Electoral fraud of trying to discard the old register?

Horror Scene As Couple Stabs Man 32 Times With A Screwdriver,Before Pulling His Manhood

0

In a rather shocking development, a Victoria Falls couple that operates a shebeen has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a man with a screwdriver 32 times before pulling his privates until he became unconscious.

This Publication has established from The Chronicle that, Christopher Lyuhya (37) and Jacqueline Nhidza (36) who operate a shebeen at their house, Number 1326 Chinotimba, allegedly stabbed Tendai Zengeni 32 times with a screwdriver. The couple also went on to pull his private parts until he became unconscious, before undressing and dumping his body in a drain as they believed he was dead.

Prosecuting Mr. Bheki Tshabalala told the court that on Saturday last week the couple stabbed Zengeni following a misunderstanding over money.

“Acting in common purpose the accused got hold of the complainant and stabbed him with a screwdriver 32 times on both thighs and buttocks. The two went on to pull the complainant’s genitals, undressed him completely and took him to the drainage, and dumped him thinking he was dead since he was unconscious,” said Tshabalala.

Apparently, on the day in question Zengeni and his wife Gloria Mcilo had been drinking beer at the accused couple’s home before he was attacked.

During their drinking session, Zengeni and Mcilo borrowed beer from the couple and offered a cellphone as surety that they would bring the money the following day.

However, after drinking and getting merry a misunderstanding later ensued over the money.

The misunderstanding turned violent as Lyuhya allegedly pushed Mcilo outside the house and closed the door before he grabbed Zengeni by the neck while his wife Nhidza stabbed him. After stabbing him 32 times the couple took turns pulling his privates until he became unconscious.

Hearing her husband scream in pain, Mcilo tried in vain to open the door to save her husband. Seeing that all her efforts were all in vain she ran to a nearby council office to seek help from municipal police.

However, when she returned she could not find her husband at the couple’s house. Upon thorough inspection, she later found him lying unconscious and naked in a trench.

With the help of some neighbors, she managed to carry him home. He was admitted to Victoria Falls Hospital for treatment.

Mcilo reported the matter at the nearest police station leading to the couple’s arrest last Monday.

Lyuhya and Nhidza were not asked to plead to attempted murder when they appeared before Victoria Falls magistrate Ms. Linda Dzvene.

The couple was remanded in custody to September 30.

SAD STORY: MY HUSBAND IS ABUSING OUR DAUGHTER!!!

Afternoon My Clan…..

On my table today are a lot of Rape, sexual abuse and Defilement cases but one really bothered me so much it actually left shivers on my spine.

This morning i was connected by call to Bana Mervis (Not Real Names) she sounded so sad and depressed. She told me she is a 24 year old student who is married with a 4 year old baby girl. She told me that lately she has been thinking of suicide and its getting worse. I told her, i was willing to listen to her and would be sobhappy to see how we can make things better if she told me what was bothering her.

Bana Mervis told me that last month on a happy Sunday after church she decided to go and wash the clothes outside. She says she left her 4 year old baby girl with the father in the bedroom playing with toys while watching cartoon. Later she remembered that she did not take the dirty stockings in the small basket so she rushed to get them from the bedroom. When she opened the door she almost collapsed at what she saw, her husband had ordered their 4 year old daughter to suck his private parts, when their eyes met and he jumped off the bed and left the room. She says I was shaking like a reed I had never felt my body shake like that, I didn’t know what it was i thought i was dying and I didn’t know what to do,i just fell down shaking while holding my daughter.

She says I sat in one of the bedroom corners holding my daughter for minutes I don’t know if it was hours, i was in so much shock my nose started bleeding. My husband came back in the bedroom and wanted to hold my hand I refused but i said nothing because words couldn’t come out of my mouth , i felt like my lips where sealed and my brain had stopped working, I was frozen, I was in so much shock.

That night, i left the dirty clothes outside, I couldn’t cook, I couldn’t bath myself and my daughter, I slept holding my daughter’s hand I was scared to death.

The next morning he knelt down and started crying while apologising. He told me he had changed and all would be fine we even held hands and prayed together.l believed him and thought it was just a mistake and looking at how he provided for us with love and how loving a father he was to my daughter, I was so scared to live because I was a young bride and didn’t want my marriage to break. I was also scared that my relatives, my friends and his relatives would not believe me if I told them so I kept quiet.

Last evening my world fell apart because I thought my husband was watering in the garden and when I didn’t find my daughter in the house, I went searching for her outside only to find him holding my daughter and forcing her to suck his private parts hiding at one of the corners of the house.I asked him why he was doing that he told me its because i refuse to suck his private parts and he rushed in the house with his trousers down his knees with a lot of anger.

I really don’t know what to do am scared of losing my marriage and am also scared he will one day rape her. What do I do??

After talking for about an hour I gave her some advice and offered to help with the process, she said she will first disclose this rotten situation to her mother and get back to me Tomorrow.

Bana Mervis will also be online to read your comments and solutions. Please let us be kind as she is very traumatised and in a state of confusion.

Rape and Defilement is happening more in homes than outside. Let us begin this very important conversation with our kids.

SDA MONGU MUST SAY SORRY TO GOD, THE PEOPLE OF BAROTSELAND AND FAMILY TO NAYOTO LYAMBA

0

By Simate Simate , Barotseland Activist

SDA Mongu must unreservedly apologize to the people of Barotseland and indeed the family of Nayoto Lyamba for walking out from the grave yard and refusing to offer prayer service to their Church member Nayoto Lyamba.

Firstly, let me give you brief account of what transpired:

We went to the mortuary exactly at 13:30hrs to send off our comrade in the struggle.

Prior to that, the family of Nayoto Lyamba were informed that details of the burial and all protocols will be done by Barotseland freedom fighters (BNFA, Linyungandambo, and Barotseland Imilemas) and the Church will do their spiritual part. The family knowing too well that Lyamba was a public and fearless freedom fighter they all agreed to our request. The Church too were informed.

We reached at the Mortuary and the body was prepared for burial. A slight confusion happened when Barotseland freedom fighters wanted to take the body in their vehicle; The Church came and ordered that the body should be carried by the Church only. We refused saying Barotseland freedom fighters will carry the body from Mortuary to Church and to the grave site ,thereafter , the Church will take charge of the service. The Church insisted that they wanted to carry the body, but Barotseland Independence leaders refused. We said it was our usual style that whenever Barotseland Freedom fighter dies , we send them off in a protocol revolution details. The Church never accepted ,but at last they accepted. Finally , we carried the body from the mortuary to SDA Church as per our usual style. When we reached at the Church, the Pastor and Church members changed goal post that the service will be done at the grave yard. We immediately turned and took the remains of our beloved one at the grave site The SDA Church came also and they were all present at the grave site. We thought they were there to offer prayers.

When we reached the grave site, BIs, a security wing matched with the coffin and brought it near the grave in full view of SDA members and all the people. The body was surrendered to the Church to do their part. The family members called the Church to come and commit the body and soul of Nayoto Lyamba to our Heavenly father with prayers and word of God. No sooner had the family members called SDA Church Pastor to start service than he walked out from the grave site going home. When Dorcas’s mother saw their Pastor waking out , they also walked out. When the choir that remained singing and calling the comforting mourners saw their Pastor , and Dorcas Mother walking out ,they too walked out . Dorcas’s mothers didnt just walk out in plain clothes, but in their blessed Uniforms. We remained astonished as if it we were watching Nigerian Movie.

SDA Church were wrong. They acted dishonestly and immaturely. Church haikoni kuñala ku zamaisa linzwi la Mulena. The Church fights battles both spiritually and physically with minimal discouragement. They were supposed to be the last people if that could be possible to act in such a manner.

As far as I am concerned , no one insulted or stopped SDA Church to pray and preach the word of God during the burial. We were very much ready to listen to the word of God since some of us went to Church long time.

My conscience tells me that SDA Church Katongo in Mongu made a pact with Zambian Authorities to suppress us and stop us to do our noble task. It was shameful to see the Church leaving the body of their deceased brother in such a disgraceful manner.

We have done it before in many Churches when our comrades in the struggle die. Recently , we had a very beautiful send off to our comrade Likando Pelekelo who died in Kabwe Maximum Prison. It was the same SDA Church despite that was Senanga SDA. Now why did SDA Mongu behave in such a way. Is it that because we are Freedom fighters, we are full of sin or what? Yes ,we are aware that many people who are involved in the struggle are either demoted on their Church leadership or baptised five times if they continue publicly continue fight for Barotseland struggle.

I am SDA though I don’t go to Church. I observe Sabbath day and Church doctrine. But I can’t defend wrong things. What SDA Mongu did was against even the Holy Spirit. There was nothing wrong for Barotseland Freedom fighters did to the Church for them to walk out from the grave yard like that and refuse to offer prayers to God and give word of God. The only time I saw people walking out like that is only in Zambian Parliament during Bill 10 debate.

The Pastor and the Church were sponsored by Government , because Government knew we could use the same to speak out and send information to many people. There was nothing big for them to walk out in such a way.

SDA must apologize to late Nayoto Lyamba , family and the people of Barotseland.

Lungu must be barred from contesting the 2021 Presidential election – Dr. Munyonzwe Hamalengwa

0

I am submitting a legal and political opinion to the ECZ through this forum that if what is quoted in the News Diggers Paper of September 16, 2021 front page accurately quotes the words and aims of President Lungu, he must be barred from running in the 2021 elections and must as well be impeached immediately as posing grievous and present and indeed continuing danger to democracy in Zambia as enshrined in the 2016 constitution that he signed. Indeed if the above noted paper quoted Lungu accurately, he has already committed the crime of treason which I deal with at length below. Do not forget his past violations of the constitution as well.

Lungu is quoted as stating that the UPND will never rule Zambia. This means Lungu has plans with malice aforethought to violate the constitution in order to ensure that the UPND does not win any elections in his lifetime. It can mean any number of things that Lungu can do to ensure he achieves his malice aforethought objectives: assassinate the UPND leaders, fabricate criminal charges and get his judiciary to wrongfully convict them, cause chaos and violence in order to disturb Zambia and continue to illegitimately rule, engineer a coup de tat from above and most plausibly rig the 2021 elections as he did with the 2016 elections and cause his judiciary to dismiss the petition and related diabolical actions, all of which are criminal. Right now Lungu is immune from prosecution in Zambia despite his massive ongoing violations of the rule of law and constitutionalism but he is not immune from prosecution by the International Criminal Court.

Right now constitutionally speaking, despite the ConCourt ruling of December 2018, Lungu is not eligible to run for a third term. He has held office twice. The ConCourt decision is tainted as it rephrased the question to suit a predetermined decision in favour of Lungu and it mangled the application of the 1996 transitional provisions under which Lungu was elected and applied at the time of the 2016 elections. If there was another court above the ConCourt, its decision would have been laughably laughed out of court and reversed among other infirmities. A fuller analysis awaits. Lungu knows he doesn’t qualify as all learned people in matters of the constitution and hence the attempt to forcefeed the Bill 10 coup de Grace on Zambians.

Lungu means what he is saying and that is why he is the most dangerous President Zambia has ever had and his impeachment and debarment must be pursued vigorously inspite of the disabilities of the relevant judicial hierarchies. A loss can be a victory in the court of public opinion.

This is perhaps the third time Lungu has publicly stated that the UPND will never rule Zambia. In private, I am sure he has said it many more times. He is also heard in a video-tape saying, “We did not get the vote in 2015. We did not get the vote in 2016 but we are still here. If we don’t get the vote in 2021 we are not moving out”. So the evidence for removing Lungu from the 2021 ballot is his own declarations which have been consistent and recorded in various mediums.

Lungu has violated the constitution and he intends to continue violating the constitution and cling to power because he knows what awaits him when he loses power. If elections were to be held today, Lungu would lose miserably and the next week or so he would be in a jail cell unless all the illegitimate wealth he amassed in a short time is returned to the public and other concessions which are still possible if he owns up to his criminality. This is my opinion.

In fact, Lungu doesn’t deserve to be in power. He is there through corruption and bribery of the electoral laws of the country. He has said numerous times that people who don’t vote for the PF will not see development in their areas. That is bribery and corruption which must lead to the setting aside of any PF victory in the country or affected constituency. When it is said by an ordinary PF it wouldn’t carry much weight as when it is said by the Head of State who carries and dispenses Kasaka ka ndalama. This is just one instance of how the PF has stayed in power by frightening people with deprivation of development as if they are not Zambians. If Lungu utters this statement again from now onwards, the statements should be recorded and used in court to set aside the election obtained through bribery and corruption and the attendant violence. The violence in Zambia is PF violence. And the violence-in-chief in Zambia is known no matter what the spreading of the mist to disguise its sources.

Just the statement that UPND will never rule in Zambia is so ominous that it is all that is required to remove Lungu from the 2021 ballot and from the Presidency of this beautiful country. Lungu is not grateful that Zambians gave him an opportunity to govern them as an accidental President. But all he has done is to abuse that trust and privilege. Lungu is unfit to govern.

Look at the violence inflicted on the UPND vehicles in northern province by PF cadres and Lungu has said nothing, meaning he condones the violence. That is what he intends to do from now onwards. Zambians must not permit this destruction of our democracy by an accidental president supported by a few accidental ministers and cadres.

I now turn to Treason. Lungu has committed treason.

There is no reason whatsoever why theft of an election in any country, through rigging, with incontrovertible evidence proving the same, should not attract the charge of treason. In the case of Zambia, the parent charge of treason is under Section 43 of the Penal Code. Analogous sections of this are found in other countries’ criminal statutes. Stealing an election through rigging involves an unlawful, illegal and massive unconstitutional violations of the constitutional and electoral laws of the country to alter the coming into power of a legitimate government chosen by the people. Theft of an election is a fraudulent usurpation of power by an illegitimate government that has been turfed out of power by the country’s voters. It is a coup d’état to unconstitutionally and illegally cling to power by the incumbent government. The fact that there is initially no violence, a term which is used interminably in Section 43 of the Penal Code, is immaterial as violence is embedded in the very act and fact of rigging an election. Violence is part of the plan to enforce the acquiescence of the population should the rigging be exposed and fought against. And violence can consume the nation in the aftermath of a rigged election as we saw in Ivory Coast, Kenya (2007/08) and elsewhere. In the case of Zambia, individuals were arrested and accused/charged of fomenting violence by trying to resist and expose evidence of rigging. Thus violence is implicated and is part of overt acts in the enforcement of rigging an election.

In the Edward Shamwana treason case in Zambia, no violence was actually used, but it was part of the plan and even though no violence was used, Shamwana and others were convicted of treason. Those who know about the plan to illegally overthrow the government but who don’t divulge those plans to the authorities can be convicted of misprision of treason. In the case of election theft through rigging, directly or circumstantially have knowledge that rigging is underway.

The result of election theft by rigging is that you have an illegitimate government that does not have the mandate to rule just as you would have a government that took power by force. There is no difference.

Election theft by rigging has grievous aggravating factors and must constitute treason. A coterie of individuals with planning and deliberation aforethought, sometimes over a lengthy period of time, organise to engage in overt and covert actus reus (action) with requisite mens rea (intention) to violate the constitution and electoral laws of their country. Some of these individuals who participate in the conspiracy to violate the constitution and electoral laws of the country, would have sworn on the Holy Book to follow and uphold the constitution and laws of the country. But here they are, violating the very oath, constitution and laws they had sworn to abide by and enforce. There can be no greater betrayal of the constitution and laws of the country than what is involved in election theft by rigging. This is treason.

Theft of an election by rigging engages the coincidence of actus reus (the doing) and mens rea (intention) to violate the law and is complex. It is not as inept as Captain Solo waking up one day and deciding that he was going to have fun that day at the main radio station! Rigging can be sophisticated and involves many people: the army, the airforce, the police, ministries, civil servants, the judiciary, the Presidency, diplomats, banks, immigration, transporters, printers , newspapers, and many other entities and institutions.

Sometimes it involves the registration of foreign voters by issuing them the country’s primary identity cards like National Registration Cards. It involves conniving with foreigners to print ballot papers some of which are pre-marked or that are easy to manipulate. Rigging involves training and facilitating individuals, sometimes foreigners to manipulate computers and election technologies in favour of the regime in power to enable it to cling on to power. Theft of an election involves stationing cadres at voting points to intimidate and engage in violence against election monitors or the opposition. Theft of an election by rigging involves destroying the opposition’s votes and inflating that of the party in power. Election theft by rigging involves using the army and police and government ministries and infrastructure to deprive the citizens of the benefit of installing a legitimate government of their choice. This is as treasonous as it gets. Theft of elections through rigging must be criminalized as acts of treason. That should act as deterrence.

President Lungu must be barred from contesting the 2021 elections. He is a danger to democracy in Zambia. He has said it with his own mouth that he intends to destroy Zambian democracy.
We cannot let an individual to destroy our hard won democracy just like that, an individual whose actions are purely to save his own skin because of the atrocities he has done to democracy in Zambia and fearing that justice will be visited on him. Lungu is not worthy sacrificing anyone’ s life and blood over. Zambia is bigger than any one individual or party or institution. Zambia does not equal Lungu, Kampyongo, Kanganja, Chama, Nawakwi, Mwila, Chilufya, Mumbi, Lubinda, Chitotela, Mbewe, Musankwa, Zulu, Rupiah Banda, Siliya, Sikwazwe, a few judges and the inner gang including defence and security agency heads.
If anyone has an alternative analysis, please submit it to the press for publication with a copy to myself.

Yes Democracy in Zambia is my business as it is for all Zambians under Zambia’s Sky.

PF not scared of losing, we’re not criminals – Kamba

0

THE Patriotic Front (PF) says it is not scared of giving up power in the event that it loses next year’s elections because none of the members is a criminal.

Yesterday, The Mast published a story where good governance and human rights activist Brebner Changala warned that the ruling party may not give up power if it loses the elections because all its members, including President Edgar Lungu, are scared of being imprisoned for various offences.

Responding to Changala, Lusaka Province PF secretary Kennedy Kamba accused Changala of bitterness.

“Changala must know first of all that only criminals deserve to be in prison. Those of us in the PF leadership starting with President Lungu are not criminals. All we have done is to dedicate and demonstrate undoubted commitment and sacrifice to mother Zambia by delivering much-needed development across the country,” he said in a statement. “It is only a bitter and frustrated man like Changala who cannot see development. The real and genuine citizens who were subjected to abject poverty for many years are now seeing their communities coming out of the shackles of poverty and that’s why they have continued to give President Lungu massive support as evidenced by landslide victories we are recording in by-elections.”

Kamba claimed that the PF has not been in power on its own but through public support.

“It is the overwhelming support of Zambians and the rule of law that has kept President Lungu in State House and not by our own power or mighty.

We want to warn Brebner Changala to stop these malicious accusations about the PF because they will not take him and the UPND anywhere,” he said. “They should know how to manage election defeat. They lack wisdom in that area. The PF is for democrats, it’s the people who rule and we respect the rule of law. We will never impose ourselves on people but the people chose the PF and in 2021 it is the people who will vote for President Lungu and the PF.”

He said people did not want to hear what he termed bitterness but constructive criticism from the opposition.

Kamba highlighted various examples of success scored by the PF, including in agriculture.
“And Zambians don’t want insults from the opposition but constructive criticism. The bitterness of the UPND and their tribalism is just too much! How can Zambians entrust them with government power? As the UPND continue venting anger and frustrations in the media, President Lungu is working round the clock to deliver development and winning the hearts of many Zambians,” said Kamba. “Today we have bumper harvest in agriculture, roads are being done, infrastructure development is the order of the day, houses for the men and women in uniform have been done. In the health sector, facilities are being constructed. Today in Lusaka the latest specialised hospital in Chalala is being constructed by the Saudi Arabian government and the expansion of Levy Mwanawasa and UTH hospitals, enrolling medical students, upgrading of clinics in our compounds, in the education sector the country has performed very well. Look at the social cash transfer effectiveness and now the civil servants are getting salaries on time with good working conditions. So how can Zambians vote the PF out? The Zambians believe in President Lungu and that’s why they will vote for him come 2021.”

KING LEWANIKA UNIVERSITY VS ROBERT MAKASA UNIVERSITY

KING LEWANIKA UNIVERSITY VS ROBERT MAKASA UNIVERSITY

We thank the government of the day who have worked hard to build mini hospitals in some districts of Barosteland. As we can see the Veep is visiting us in our region officially opening these hospitals that will carter for locals in the villages, who cannot walk long distances to seek for medical treatment in the main hospitals of Mongu. This development would have gone well if our famous university was opening as well. Our youths are languishing in poverty and cannot get places in the two major universities of Zambia because of stiff competition.

Allow me to express myself on the two universities that were started at the same time in 2012 by late President Michael Chilufya Sata. King Lewanika University in Mongu, Barotseland and Robert Makasa University in Chinsali, Muchinga. From the pictures captioned it looks like the Chinsali University is up and running, and the Mongu University has only a foundation stone that was put at ground breaking which is still standing up to now in the bush.

Much as it is the duty of the government to bring development to its people in all the provinces without leaving any one behind, it is also our duty to elect people who will work hard to make sure the government of the day brings development to its electorates.

This is why it is wrong to say only a local, born and bred person to be elected in the constituency to represent the people in parliament house. We have so far seen members of parliament who were elected, here in Western Province who have done nothing the whole four years in Parliament, nothing to sing about that they lobbied for the constituency and government rejected their lobbying. What we have seen is only politics the whole lot of five year term it was politics and campaigns. These MPs were labelled locals who live and suffer with the locals and praised that they feel the pinch and therefore they will bring development in their households.

No development has come, now we are going to the polls next year, and I’m offering myself as a woman independent candidate to go and serve my people in parliament house. There are disadvantages and advantages of being an independent in the house. I’m not going into parley to serve a party but to serve and represent my constituency. I’m going to lobby government and all stakeholders to work and bring development where it is needed.

I’m a team player, I work well with people and that for me is a plus. I will be lying if I said I, I’m going to bring development because that can only be attained collectively, with the grassroots. For us to succeed in Mongu we will need a collection of ideas and solutions from everyone in Mongu and take them to parley and lobby the appropriate offices.

Thanks, register now and vote 2021 for Lungowe….

Lubinda Habaazoka advices UPND to change its political approach

Lubinda Habaazoka advices UPND to change its political approach..

I never want to be drawn into politics but I think I cannot pass by without commenting on this observation by Hon Nkombo.

I write this in my personal capacity as a citizen and a holder of a voters card.

In football you can’t blame the tactics of your opponents for the loss of game because you have no control over which players the opponent plays, the playing system they use among other things. The same applies to politics.

I followed closely the campaign of the UPND during the just ended by elections. I don’t remember the promise that they made to the people apart from mwankole and some other things.

When MMD was voted in 1991, we were promised eggs, bacon and milk at breakfast and the MMD promise put them into power. PF also came with the more money into people’s pockets slogan and they formed government.

What the UPND should do is to develop that message of hope for the Zambian people.

You rarely win an election from the opposition by using corruption and mwakole slogans. Zambians want to hear what an alternative government will do in terms of taxes, job creation, wealth creating etc. They want a message of hope.

This weekend, EAZ was attacked by one Antony Bwalya or Mumba (UPND) member for its Citizen Entrepreneur Development Program. What my colleague did not know is that the private sector led initiative has been welcomed by the masses who want to achieve their business dreams. Now when a party attacks such an initiative, the message being sent is that once they form government, they won’t entertain empowerment programs.

Instead of attacking civil servants and the police as corrupt, Sata would buy breakfast to police officers sent to arrest him. That gave hope to our men and women in uniform that once Sata formed government, he would be their person.

Then also you can’t use macroeconomic figures to explain to citizens that they are suffering. Suffering is felt at household level. When campaigning, you need to identify issues that really citizens are facing. A woman in Mwansabombwe doesn’t care about Eurobonds. All she wants are roads, food, clinics and that’s what the other camp is providing. So a new formula has to be developed in order to counter the PF.

Even for this article I will be insulted. Now when you insult me and I keep quiet, genuine people will sympathize with me and will be scared of your aggressiveness. Zambians are more like to vote for soft leaders and less aggressive parties.

The attacks and hate speech especially on social media scares away potentia voters. Let the media team soften up and create friends rather than enemies.

Zambians consider soft characteristics when voting rather than the hard data.

Zambians are very tricky people. They vote with emotions.

Thanks 🙏

11 Mumbwa families thrown in the cold in raging fight for gold mine

0

ELEVEN families in Mumbwa are spending nights outside after being evicted from their homes by a company claiming ownership of a gold mine which owns the houses.

The victims who hail from Mumbwa district in Lwili village of Chief Shakumbila have stayed in the houses since 2000.

One of the affected, 63-year-old widow, Lona Nyirenda who lives with three orphans finds the eviction unfair and inhuman.

Nyirenda said her and other affected families were human beings who should have been given a notice on time to vacate the houses unsteady of embarrassing them and destroying their properties.

She complained that bailiffs who were sent to evict her and others destroyed food she had stocked for her family and they went away with her K1000.

She appealed to government to come to their help because they were spending nights in the cold without food.

A Grade 12 pupil, Mary Chola complained of losing her school materials during the eviction.

Chola said she could find her books because bailiffs who where sent to evict them where just throwing things everywhere.

And Raphael Moonga, a former worker of Dunrobin Gold Mine who had lived in the area for more than 20 years expressed displeasure on why a company that had no legal mandate to evict people from the mining houses were allowed to do so.

He said the mine houses, including offices and other properties were owned by Bukomo Mining Ltd not the group of people that was removing them from the houses.

However, Moonga wondered why Chief Shakumbila was allowing illegality take place in his chiefdom.

Moonga said if Chief Shakumbila had issues with Bukomo Mine, he should seat them down than to use people against them.

“The same people who were direct beneficiaries from what was sold, they were left in the houses. All these staying in the houses they got money. These evicted what wrong have they done? Is there any problems to the houses? That is my concern. And this question as directly shown that there is a fight here and they will be no development if such situation continues, there will be no development,” said Moonga.

“…If this selective move continues, then there will be a fight and we are ready for that. We will fight so that the chief himself will come and intervene.”

And Bukomo Mining Ltd chief executive officer Brian Chisala sympathized with the victims who are now spending nights in the cold.

Chisala said Bukomo was the rightful owner of the houses and that it had been processing the title so that President Edgar Lungu would come and handover the houses to the sitting tenants.

Chisala said his company was looking for solution on how best families could be kept as they look for permanent place.

“We just got surprised that on Wednesday there was a court order and the Sheriff of Zambia who were executing to take possession of our mine in Mumbwa of Bukomo Mine. We have a valid mineral processing licence and we have been processing title for these house with the ministry of lands,” he said.

“Where some of the properties that we bought through a court order, through the Sheriff some years back from the former employees of Dunrobin have been possessed by Luiri Gold Mine who have no valid mining licences here, there licence was canceled and they are using the employees of Luiri to take over these houses. They have evicted innocent people from these house.”

PF ARE NOT WINNING BY-ELECTIONS BUT BUYING, BRIBING VOTERS- Kambwili

0

THE Lukashya and Mwansabombwe by-election results do not move me; these people are not winning elections but merely buying and bribing voters, says Chishimba Kambwili.

Reacting to the UPND’s loss in Mwansabombwe and Lukashya where they were supported by the National Democratic Congress, Kambwili said he was a seasoned politician who knew that results of a by-election had no bearing in a general election.

He noted that with a voter population of about 47,000 in Lukashya, only about 15,000 voted therefore a reasonable party would not be excited by such a triumph.

“Let me tell ba Inonge Wina and PF that people who don’t learn from experience and past history are as good as a lost generation. People like Inonge Wina are old enough to advise PF to do the right thing and not to do exactly what MMD did when they lost power in 2011, not to do what UNIP did when they lost power in 1991. These people are not winning these elections, they are buying and bribing voters and they know that, so for them to say it is a sign for 2021 is misleading themselves,” Kambwili said.

“Look, Lukashya has 45-47,000 voters but only 15,000 cast their vote. They can manipulate 15,000 people but they cannot manipulate people even if we were to say 30,000 out of that 45,000 they cannot manipulate them. And they must know that a by-election is not a barometer for what is going to happen in the general election. In a by-election all the ministers, all the resources of the party are concentrated in one area, the propaganda, the lying to people by ministers is concentrated in one area but when it’s in a general election, it’s different, it is everyone for himself, God for us all.”

Further, Kambwili said people who change governments were not even involved in the day-to-day politics.

He added that the people who matter in a general election were those who were non-aligned but make informed decisions on who to vote for and were in the majority.

Kambwili reminded the PF that prior to 2011 MMD was scooping all by-elections but failed to triumph in the general election.

He noted that for PF to lose, they do not need to lose in all their strongholds but just a defeat on the Copperbelt and Lusaka was enough to retire them.

“And PF knows that what they are doing is basically buying the people and corruption,” he said.

The former Roan member of parliament and information minister said the PF were using the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit to bribe voters in all by-elections, a thing he stated was against the law.

He warned DMMU coordinator Chanda Kabwe to detach his office from party politics.

He said if he continues on the same trajectory, his ending would be disastrous.

“Chanda Kabwe is using money from DMMU to promote PF to win elections. Wherever there is an election, Chanda Kabwe moves in to start programmes of ‘helping’ the needy. That is misappropriation of government funds. I want to warn my young brother that he is the controlling officer at DMMU, he is the one who signs the release of these ‘goodies’ to the areas and if they come to ask who authorised, he will be the one to answer,” Kambwili warned.

He said PF could only be equated to the emperor’s new suit where everybody saw that it was alright until a small child said the ruler was naked.

He said the PF was hurting people more with what they were doing by manipulating votes.

He added that the opposition alliance would forge ahead in working as a unit but stated that they had lessons learnt from the loss.

Kambwili said the PF win was not a victory to be celebrated as it was short lived.

The NDC leader noted that people were suffering and a few were bound to fall for the PF trickery.

“Their win is not an indicator, by far…it is an act of corruption and an act of deceit. For me, I am not even worried because I am very experienced in this game, extremely experienced in this game. The PF does not even have a message for the people, their message is give out money, more money and goods. Bali nensala abantu so if you give them K50, they will vote for you but in 2021, it will be different as people are eager to change government,” said Kambwili.

“The opposition alliance will go on but I think there are lessons that we must learn from what happened. There are shortcomings that must be discussed quickly and ironed out and the quicker we deal with them the better for the Zambians.” –  The Mast

Lies Against Saturnia And HH Toxic To Foreign Investment

By Samuel Tembo snr

The sad part of all this politically inclined misinformation campaign is the way it is killing investor confidence in the Country as we pursue our political/tribally inclined goal of targeting Hichilema. Private international capital is extra sensitive to political environment and stability issues.

The more we are creating that picture that wherever we see Hichilema having a few shares in a company, even minority ones, we quickly create an impression Hichilema owns that company and we want to crush it without blinking an eye. Even the infamous Mosi oa Tunya Hotel issue where we have become so economical with the truth that we are blind to simple facts.

Don’t you find it ironical that no one talks about Valentine Chitalu who was the actual CEO of the Zambia Privatisation Agency and Francis Kaunda who was ZCCM CEO and Chairman of the team involved in the privatization of ZCCM? Somehow a consultant overshadowed President Chiluba, and Ministers as arrogant as the late Ronald Penza, highly educated Dr. Katele Kalumba, Edith Nawakwi, Dr BonifaceKawimbe and many other Ministers. The first MMD cabinet was composed of very very educated people. You can’t compare with those that came later.

The attacks on people who are of certain ethnic groups *creates an impression that we have lost a clear national agenda*. Not long ago Lawrence Sikutwa (a Nsenga) was under heavy attack with his Madison Insurance Company almost crushed for no proper reason. Robinson Zulu (a Ngoni) now lives in the UK because of threats undertones on his life and businesses.

We are on a path to destroy Copperbelt Energy Corporation which was/is a success story of privatization (yes! Many indigenous Zambians own shares bought on LuSe), because there are Zambians there who we think are a political threat on account of their wealth.

Remarkably and somehow, we are comfortable with foreigners owning companies and running successful businesses. We are proud of amwenye like Nyimba Investments. Honestly? In other words privatization simply meant externalization of capital or non Zambians taking over running business? Yayi my fellow citizens, this kind of politics is completely destroying this Country.

As we go on this trajectory, we shall grow weaker and weaker as a people. Even those who are presiding over us will not enjoy the unrest that comes out of an angry people, because one day people without jobs, without a hope without the basics will explode. Ask Dr. Kaunda in 1990/91. Despite his extra strong intelligence and the strong command, a people revolution threw him out.

I personally can never be proud of giving people mealie meal, instead of creating for them business and employment opportunities. We should have been aiming at creating jobs through all kinds of value chains. Opportunities are everywhere in Zambia. There are many of us willing to work (outside politics) to create opportunities for Zambians. Yes politics should be merely an enabler.

We, as Zambians, must love one another; we must embrace each other regardless of the region we come from. What is happening now is simply unacceptable especially between the Tongas and Bemba-speaking north. The rest of us are just found in the cross fire. Ine nalema and very disappointed.

‘Hotel Rwanda’ hero claims he was duped into flying back to Kigali

0

Paul Rusesabagina, depicted in a Hollywood movie as a hero who helped save Tutsis during the Rwandan genocide, told the New York Times he believed he was flying to Burundi at the invitation of a pastor, but was instead lured to Rwanda and arrested on terrorism charges,

Rusesabagina was speaking to the US daily in an interview the paper said had been authorised by the Rwandan government and had taken place in the presence of government officials. “How I got here – now that is a surprise,” he told the newspaper. “I was actually not coming here.”

The 66-year-old Hutu political dissident and former hotel manager was propelled to fame after the Oscar-nominated film “Hotel Rwanda” portrayed him using his connections with the Hutu elite to protect Tutsis fleeing slaughter during the 1994 genocide. The Hollywood film credits him with saving the lives of more than 1,200 people as they sheltered in the hotel he ran.

Some 800,000 mostly Tutsi but also moderate Hutu were killed in the genocide.

He had been living in exile since 1996, where he was a prominent critic of Tutsi President Paul Kagame, accusing him of stifling political opposition, authoritarianism and anti-Hutu sentiment. He holds both Belgian citizenship and a US “green card”.

Rusesabagina ‘delivered himself’, Rwanda’s spy chief says

Rusesabagina suddenly appeared in custody in Rwanda earlier this month, prompting accusations from his family that he had been kidnapped. But he says he voluntarily boarded a private plane in Dubai that he believed was bound for Burundi’s capital Bujumbura, where he had planned to speak to churches at the invitation of a local pastor.

Instead, he landed in Kigali, where he now faces 13 charges, including terrorism, complicity in murder and forming or joining an irregular armed group with children involved. The NYT quoted Rwanda’s spy chief as saying “he delivered himself here”.

The plane was operated by GainJet, a charter company based in Greece that is often used by Kagame, the report said.

Bail denied

A spokesman for the prosecution on Wednesday told Reuters that Rusesabagina, who once called for armed resistance to the government in a YouTube video, faces a possible life sentence. He was denied bail on Thursday and will stay in jail for 30 days as the prosecution ends its investigations.

The NYT was not able to speak to the pastor, and says Rwandan officials believe he was actually heading there to coordinate with armed groups based in Burundi and Congo.

In 2018, Rusesabagina co-founded an opposition group, the Rwandan Movement for Democratic Change (MRCD), which is said to have an armed wing called the National Liberation Front (FLN).

In multiple speeches, Rusesabagina has expressed support for the FLN – which has carried out armed attacks and is described as a terrorist organisation by Rwanda – but the extent of his involvement in its actions is unclear.

He has nevertheless denied forming the group.

My Desire Is To Be A Servant Of The People With Or Without A Title- Binwell Mpundu

0

MY DESIRE IS TO BE A SERVANT OF THE PEOPLE WITH OR WITHOUT A TITLE- BINWELL

FORMER Kitwe District Commissioner Binwell Mpundu says he will continue to help those less privileged noting that service is not because of a title but a calling living in ones heart.

Binwell Mpundu one of the youthful District commissioner appointee during his tenure has continued to serve the community through self innitiated projects.

Over the weekend, the Former DC procured a total of 2350 blocks and a truck load of cement for two churches on request to him.

In an interview Mr Mpundu said he feels duty bound to continue serving the community because in him is the gift of service.

“I will continue using my meager and hard earned resources in responding to the needs of the community especially in Nkana where I have spent most of my life said Mr Mpundu, a section that made me who I am. I feel duty bound to give back to Nkana because Nkana made raised me,” he said.

Last week Mr Mpundu came to the aid of another church that was struggling with Church construction when he bought them a truck load of stones and a truckload of cement too.

Also notable among the many other projects being done by the former DC is the rehabilitation of a toilet and market shelter in Miseshi Market, which have been completed and await the reconnection of water, a five year cry from marketeers who have had to work in its previous deplorable condition.

Mr. Mpundu has also seen through the construction of New toilet at Kamakonde Market which market has never had a toilet since it was built as well as supporting more that four churches in their construction projects.

Mr Mpundu has further called on all well wishers to come on board and render a helping hand in addressing the needs of many communities within Kitwe.

“I am called to serve and I will continue doing just that for as long as I live, whether I have a position or not.”

But when asked if he had any intentions to stand for a political office, the former DC remarked that leadeship is given by the people and if called upon by the people to serve them he will not hesitate but run like Usain Bolt to serve the people.

“My dear am passionate about service and if the people are willing to entrust me with such responsibilities i will not hesitate but respond affirmatively,” he said.

“Meanwhile I will continue doing what’s placed in my heart, to serve the people which comes whether one has a position or not and for anyone threatened with my activities am afraid they may have to swallow the bitter pill because this is not personal it’s for our people who are in desperate need of our help.”

Given Lubinda Is Being Hypocritical By Transferring A Responsibility To President Lungu When He Should Have Forgiven Martin Mambwe

GIVEN LUBINDA IS BEING HYPOCRITICAL BY TRANSFERRING A RESPONSIBILITY TO PRESIDENT LUNGU WHEN HE SHOULD HAVE FORGIVEN MARTIN MAMBWE
==================
You can’t send a person to prison for slapping you out of political activism, then turn around to ask President Lungu to pardon him. How long did the trial take, why didn’t you forgive him.

UPND cadres beat me up at Cresta Golfview, the assailants were charged with Aggravated robbery, I withdrew the case out of pity, because I saw they were suffering.
Martin is not a stranger to Given Lubinda, he knows him and what he means to his family. He should have felt pity and discontinued the case.

I have a case with Given Lubinda for years now, and I have tried by all means to ask for his forgiveness, not that I deliberately maligned him, but I issued a statement based on the information I received.

I refused to put up a defense against his suit, rather I engaged him apologising but to-date he has been refusing to discontinue the matter.
Rather he has even taken advantage of all my pleadings to build his case.
I went to see him in his office pleading with him, next he was in court saying something else.

Given knows, I am part of those people supporting the PF to be in Govt so that he can be a Minister, but that doesn’t matter to him, because he doesn’t forgive.

So, I find it highly hypocritical hear that Given Lubinda is saying that he has forgiven Martin Mambwe, and he is now begging President Edgar Lungu to pardon him.
Mambwe was convicted and sentenced to two years in prison with hard labour for assaulting Mr Lubinda in Kabwata.

Today, at Chilenje Reformed Church during a welcoming service for Reverend Madalitso Banda, Given Lubinda said that he will be more at peace if Mambwe is released.
He said he knows that Mr Mambwe was just used by political opponents to attack him.
Anyway, I would ask President Lungu to ignore Given Lubinda’s hypocrisy and pardon Martin because he is a family man.

For me, I have given up on pleading for him to forgive, I wait for the conclusion of the matter then I will go President Lungu to help me settle his damages, if any, since I never put in a defense and the case was closed on default judgement.

Legal minds have wondered how a case of defamation was judged in default, but I never minded about that, rather I sort reconciliation but I was dealing with an unforgiving man.

TOP FDD LEADERS DITCH NAWAKWI FOR UPND

TOP FDD LEADERS DITCH NAWAKWI FOR UPND.

….Nawakwi’s party in limbo after its chairperson for Agriculture, Emack Kaoma and his Tourism counterpart, Harriet Mukololo join UPND.

THE Forum for Democracy and Development – FDD has suffered another political setback following the defection of two of its senior party officials who have since joined the United Party for National Development-UPND.

The two, who include FDD’s Chairperson for Agriculture, Emack Kaoma and Tourism Committee chairperson, Harriet Mukololo cited poor leadership and lack of policy direction from the Party President, Edith Nawakwi as the reasons for ditching the Party.

In her speech, Ms Mukololo, who thanked Ms Nawakwi for allowing her to serve as Chairperson for Tourism portfolio under the FDD, challenged Ms Nawakwi, who has waged a relentless privatization war against President Hichilema to shift her attention from the privatization issue which she oversaw as then Finance Minister, to the more recent economic hardships facing Zambians.

She stated that she was ashamed to identify her self with the FDD because the party has no structures and policy direction, saying that each time she went to mobilize her party on the ground, people questioned her mental sanity for supporting a party that was being run like an NGO.

“The FDD has no structures and its policy direction is not clearly defined. The party has no structures on the ground, people on the ground wonder whether am normal upstairs. If I go to the Secretariat, they tell, ‘awe mayo! Niba Nawakwi fye abene’,” she stated.

In affirming his decision to join the UPND, Mr Kaoma stated that it was a relief for him to ditch the FDD, a Party because it has deviated from the ideals and values on which it was founded.

“I now feel a heavy load has been removed from my shoulders because the FDD that I belonged to has moved from its ideals and values. I want to be on the right side of history. My heart has always been for the people and I feel the vision for the UPND fits in well. I believe, together, we shall end the suffering of this country,” he charged.

And UPND Secretary General-SG-Stephen Katuka, in his welcoming remarks called on the old party members to embrace the new members, stating that there was neither old or new member in the UPND.

He also encouraged the old UPND members to embrace the new members, stating that there were no old or new members in the UPND and that those joining the party would add a lot of value and help the party form Government.

“You are warmly welcome to the UPND family. If you have any issues with anybody, please feel free to come and see me. I lead an open door policy. In the UPND, in my father’s house, there are many rooms. The UPND is a Party of choice. In this Party, there are no new members. When you join this party, you are as good as the old members,” he said.

President Lungu Doesn’t Qualify To Stand In The Next Presidential Election-LAZ President

0

THE LAW Association of Zambia (LAZ) says the Constitutional Court did not deal with the eligibility case of President Edgar Lungu.

And LAZ says there is no procedure that permits the government to publish, in the government gazette, different texts of a Bill to amend the Constitution, which has already passed through the stages as established by standing orders.

Responding to a press query, LAZ president Abyudi Shonga said the Constitutional Court (ConCourt) did not deal with any other eligibility criteria.

“It is the position of LAZ, according to the Constitution of Zambia as amended by Act No. 2 of 2016, the President of Zambia may only serve two terms. Further, it is LAZ’s position that there are several eligibility criteria for a person wishing to contest for the office of the President of the Republic of Zambia. One of the criteria is that the person must not have served two terms prior to attempting to contest. It is common knowledge that the Constitutional Court was called upon, in the cases of Reverend Danny Pule and others vs Attorney General and others, to determine whether President Edgar Lungu was eligible to stand for the office of the President of the Republic of Zambia in 2021,” Shonga said.

“Apart from a pronouncement that the presidential term served between the 25th of January, 2015 and the 13th of September, 2016 cannot be considered a full term, it is the position of LAZ that the Constitutional Court did not deal with any other eligibility criteria. Our opinion on the qualification or lack thereof of any potential candidate can only be based on the criteria passed by the law and on being presented with certain facts that may bring the qualification of such a candidate into question. The position as at now is that the only issue we are aware of is the issue of the full term which the court dealt with decisively in its judgement which is binding.”

And Shonga said the Constitution Amendment Bill Number 10 of 2019 could legally be tabled in parliament despite the lapse of 60 days.

“Parliament, through the standing orders committee, as well as the House Keeping Committee as set out in Standing Order No. 149 to 152, has the exclusive right to amend its own Standing Orders and make any adjustments as it wishes as per the doctrine of exclusive cognizance. According to Standing Orders 126 (1), a Bill which lapses by reason of prorogation before it reaches its final stage, may proceed within the next ensuing session at the stage it had reached in the preceding session, if a general election for the Assembly has not taken place between such two sessions. Therefore, the movers of the Bill can legally bring it back to Parliament despite the lapse of 60 days, as the Bill has no lifespan,’’ he said.

“In terms of procedure on the Minister of Justice publishing a Gazette Notice of the Constitution Amendment Bill number 10 of 2019, Order 99 of the National Assembly of Zambia, Standing Orders 2016, is instructive as it regulates the procedure of the National Assembly and its conduct of business, including stages of a bill. According to the Standing Order 99, a Bill to amend the Constitution cannot be passed unless at least thirty days before the first reading of the bill in the National Assembly, the text of the Bill is published in the Gazette and the Bill is supported on second and third reading by the votes of not less than two thirds of all members of the Assembly. When a Bill has been read the first time, it is committed to an appropriate committee for examination and at second reading, parliament proceeds to consider the Bill, taking into account the report of the Committee. Therefore, it is LAZ’s position that there was no procedure which permitted the government to publish, in the government gazette, different texts of a bill to amend the constitution which has already passed through the stages as established by standing orders. It is worth noting that when the right procedure is followed, a gazette bill may be introduced in parliament.”

Meanwhile, Shonga said the Association could not make a comment on the introduction of the statutory regulation self-regulation media Bill yet to be tabled in Parliament.

“Regarding the introduction of Statutory Regulation self-regulation media bill yet to be tabled in the next sitting of parliament, we are unable to offer LAZ’s position as we have neither had sight of the said Bill nor have been consulted by the relevant authorities,” said Shonga. – Diggers

MILUPI REVEALS CRACKS IN OPPOSITION ALLIANCE

0

By Patson Chilemba

Opposition alliance chairperson Charles Milupi has revealed cracks in the alliance, saying they are having difficulties agreeing on the electoral pact due to the insistence by some members that “if you want to work with me, you must work under me.”

Speaking with Daily Revelation, Milupi said the resounding loses in the Lukashya and Mwansabombwe by-elections had clearly shown that it was absolutely necessary now for the opposition to concretise their alliance, as well as bringing on board other participants.

Milupi said no opposition party could win elections on their own, hence the need to put aside self in order to find common ground.

“Absolutely, absolutely (it’s a definite that the alliance needs to work), I have stated clearly in the past that there is no single party that will win the elections in 2021, much more so in the opposition, no singe party to win,” Milupi said. “To win we shall need to create a momentum that is created by uniting the country. And for that it needs strengthening the alliance so that more people come in, but also it means that we must come up with a message that resonates with the rest of the population.”

However, Milupi revealed some of the challenges the alliance was facing.

“So far in trying to craft an electoral pact within the alliance we have had difficulties because parties have stuck on to try to show that they are the ones, people must now work under them. That is not going to work, that is not going to work,” Milupi said. “These election results show that it is not going to work. If we continue like this we reduce our chances in 2021. So we need people to really subordinate their interests, their personal interests, their party interests to the interest of the nation.”

On observations that much as the ruling party was engaging in corrupt practices during by-elections and it was almost a given that the same trend would continue into 2021, but they were still winning elections resoundingly in their strongholds as well as chipping into opposition strongholds at the same time, Milupi said the opposition has observed that too.

“Yes we have seen that they have won a number of by-elections at ward level in North Western Province, in Western Province we have seen that. We are seeing that. You see that gives us a message that we must do better as an alliance,” Milupi said. “But if we insist that no, if you want to work with me you must work under me then the chance of strengthening the alliance diminishes and therefore we are just giving these people more opportunity to continue to plunder and destroy the country.”

Milupi said there was a lot to learn from the recently held elections, from both the ruling party and the opposition parties, including the uneven playing field, where the Electoral Act was not followed as there was too much corruption from the PF, among many other vices.

“But be that as it may there is also a message for the opposition. It’s quite clear that some people are voting for the ruling party so there is something that we have to reflect upon on the delivery of the message. The country is not running well, there is corruption, there is poverty there is very high inflation such that goods are costing so much, the Kwacha has gone crazy and so forth,” Milupi said. “All these are negative things but even though we ourselves fully understand them and we fully explain them, the message that these things are caused by lack of political guidance from those in power is not reaching the people that it should reach. The poverty they are feeling it, whether you go to Lukashya or Mwansabombwe you feel the poverty…that’s why they run to the few bags that are distributed.”

Milupi highlighted the disconnect between tying the people’s sufferings to the failure by those in government to provide leadership, saying in western countries the performance of any government was judged upon what was happening in the population.

“If there is high unemployment for example the government of the day pays through losing elections. Now (here) the performance of government or lack of performance of the government does not seem to affect the way the people vote and this is sad for the country really because it means you can continue getting the same people, the same party,” Milupi said. “It’s the whole basis of democratic elections such that when you come to a crossroad like this the people reflect and they put in people who are expected to come and do better, and they know that if we don’t do better we shall be voted out. So that’s how the country improves.”

He said he was worried with the current situation in Zambia, where the voters were not tying their circumstances to those in power, but keep putting them back in power despite things going from bad to worse.

“It means instead of progressing the country is retrogressing. That’s the story not only for Zambia but many African countries, we are not progressing because those who are in power are not properly held to account,” said Milupi. “The action of holding government to account is the fear of being voted out. In Zambia as you have seen in these elections I cannot believe that the people in Lukashya or people in Mwansabombwe are faring better than the people in Chawama township, Kanyama, Chimwemwe.” –Daily Revelation

Lukashya, Mwansabombwe results signal better outcomes for PF in 2021, says Wina

VICE-PRESIDENT Inonge Wina says the PF victory in both Mwansabombwe in Luapula and Lukashya in Kasama are indicative of better outcomes for the ruling party in 2021.

And the Vice-President has announced that Minister of Finance Bwalya Ng’andu would next Friday announce the 2021 national budget.

Vice-President Wina in Parliament yesterday said the wins were a clear demonstration of the confidence Zambians had in the Patriotic Front government “under the exceptional stewardship of His Excellency Dr Edgar Chagwa Lungu”.

“Allow me to congratulate the Patriotic Front for a landslide victory in Mwansabombwe and Lukashya constitutuencies…This is indeed a sign of better outcomes in the 2021 for the Patriotic Front.”

Patriotic Front’s George Chisanga emerged victorious in the Lukashya by-election by a landslide vote of 13,431 votes against UPND’s Davies Mulenga, who garnered 2,684 votes.

In Mwansabombwe, the PF’s Kampampi Kabaso polled 6,478 votes against UPND’s Sunday Maluba who got 1,522 votes.

Leader of the opposition in parliament Jack Mwiimbu congratulated the PF for the victory but mocked them saying while they were busy in Mwansabombwe and Lukashya campaigning the country’s economy collapsed.

“Congratulations for collapsing the economy while you were busy campaigning,” said Mwiimbu, who further asked the Vice-President the state of the Zambia/US government relations following the recall of the latter’s ambassador to Zambia Daniel Foote, last year.

He wondered whether the bilateral relationship was still strong as it used to be.

Vice-President Wina said the relationship between the US government and Zambia is “extremely strong and very cordial”.

She said last month, the Zambian Ambassador to the Washington, Lazarus Kapambwe was accredited and was received at the White House by President Donald Trump.

“The fact that a new ambassador has not been appointed for Zambia or not arrived in Zambia, that one is in the hands of the American government,” Vice-President Wina said.

She said the government was not privy to any arrangements the US government was making but assured that Zambia’s relations were very secure and strong.

Itezhi Tezhi member of parliament Herbert Shabula said the “surprise” dismissal of Bank of Zambia governor Denny Kalyalya and the reasons given for the decision were not clear.

He said Dr Kalyalya had two supervisors in President Edgar Lungu and the Minister of Finance.

“Now what we see is that we see this man being dismissed for failure to manage the institution and later on the President admitted by saying now he will manage the economy, in his own words. What does this mean? …is this clear admission that the President and the finance minister have lamentably failed to run this nation? Is he accepting?” asked Shabula.

In response, Vice-President Wina said, “Mr Speaker, let me asure the country that the President of the Republic of Zambia Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu has not failed to run the economy of this country”.

She said the appointment of a central bank governor was a prerogative of the President.

Muchinga member of parliament Howard Kunda asked the Vice-President whether the government would institute a commission of inquiry into the privatisation programme, given the talk around the matter.

In response, Vice-President Wina said privatisation was a national issue being debated country-wide as people want to know what transpired during the exercise in the 1990s.

She said the involvement of some public figures in the exercise, the privatisation Act had a provision under section 32 which guided them.

She further said the Act required any person appointed to oversee the process to declare interest before accepting the appointment.

“Mr Speaker, members of the negotiating team were also required and expected to have high standards of professional integrity, transparency and professionalism since they were dealing with public assets, disclosure of personal interest was therefore, a legal requirement. So Mr Speaker, the people of Zambia are still debating this matter and they want their government to find a solution, to put an end to this discussion. And government has not yet decided on the mode of moving forward regarding this matter,” she said.

Vice-President Wina said when time is ripe, the government would take action on the privatisation talk, which had left parts of the country in poverty and destitution.

UPND YOUTHS WELCOMES COMMISSION OF ENQUIRY

UPND YOUTHS WELCOMES COMMISSION OF ENQUIRY BY MR EDGAR LUNGU.

By Gilbert Liswaniso
(UPND Deputy National Youth Chairman)

The United Party for National Development Youths welcomes the calls by Mr Edgar Lungu to probe the privatisation of national assets by the MMD that took place more than a quarter of a century ago. Mr Lungu wants to use the MMD privatisation program, that was triggered by an act of parliament that subsequently involved thousands of individuals, and dozens of International Institutions that included the IMF and the World Bank, to target one individual who is his political opponent, Mr Hakainde Hichilema.

Mr Lungu is very welcome, because President Hakainde Hichilema is as clean as the colour of the white dove, that refused to take off from Mr Edgar Lungu’s hands at Heroes Stadium. Since privatisation involved hundreds of people some of whom are still alive, there’s no doubt that these individuals(including Mr Edgar Lungu himself), will all be subject to the terms of reference of the Commission of enquiry, then it will be commensurate to the rules of natural justice.

The Commission of enquiry will without doubt seek to probe Mr Lungu’s privatisation of the Zambia Cold Storage Board. If Mr Lungu is so keen in probing others that he claims illegally benefited from the privatisation, we will assume that Mr Lungu implies, he is as clean as the colour of the dove that refused to take off his hands. If his hands are that clean, Mr Lungu will be more than willing to announce to the World like President Hakainde Hichilema did, that ‘I Edgar Lungu am ready to also be probed for privatisation of Cold Storage Board, just like I am calling for Mr Hichilema to be probed’.

Since holding of a Commission of enquiry is an expensive undertaking to an already over burdened tax payer, Mr Lungu will allow that the probe includes the following;

– Serious allegations of Mr Lungu as a lawyer having swindled a poor widow’s pension money
– How Mr Lungu’s wealth miraculously multiplied from K2 million in 2014 to K22 million in 2016. This miracle money requires an investigation
– Mr Lungu’s construction of a Castle worthy millions of dollars in Eswatini(Swaziland)
– The strange market fires that burnt millions worth of property, that mysteriously disappeared as quickly as they had appeared
– The serial murders and gassing of hundreds of innocent Zambians that led to more deaths as a result of lynching of suspects by instant justice mobs around the country.

The Commission of enquiry will without doubt also probe on the miracle houses that rained from heaven like manna and without an owner, the mega purchase of second hand Fire Tenders and Ambulances and many other overpriced projects.

Since Mr Edgar Lungu doesn’t want to be accused of politicking for calling for the Commission of enquiry, we have no doubt that he will urgently form it. We cannot however wait to see how this will open a can of big, ugly, long wriggling worms and can only wish Mr Edgar Lungu the best.

Bill 10 a ventilator for PF – Jack Mwiimbu

0

LEADER of the opposition in Parliament Jack Mwiimbu says Bill 10 is a ventilator for the PF and the opposition UPND will not be part of it.

Mwiimbu told the PF they will pass Bill 10 alone if they had the numbers.

Vice-President Wina presented the motion to restore to the order paper bills that elapsed in the last session.

She said according to parliamentary procedure and practice, all business that was not concluded before the end of a session lapses and could not be continued in the ensuing session unless the House directs.

“However, as regards bills, the National Assembly of Zambia Standing Orders 2016 provide to the effect that if a Bill lapses by reason of prorogation of the House, such a bill may be restored onto the Order Paper into the ensuing session…” she said.

But Mwiimbu rose to object to the restoration of the Bill 10 saying it died, was cremated and its ashes were thrown in the Zambezi River.

“Mr Speaker, as UPND, we have been consistent on our position pertaining to the reinstatement of Bill 10 to the Order Paper. Our position has not shifted in any way,” he said. “Mr Speaker I am aware Her Honour the Vice-President is quoting Order 126 (1) of the Standing Orders of Parliament and she is talking about these bills lapsing because of prorogation. We, as UPND, we have a very different understanding of this issue and particularly the issue that relates to Bill number 10.”

Mwiimbu, the Monze Central UPND member of parliament, said Bill 10 was first introduced in the House on August 3, 2019 and after six months, there was a request to reinstate the bill on the Order Paper.

He said at the time the House resolved to reinstate the bill and that afterwards, there was a lapse on the part of the government.

“They left the Bill to lapse on June 4, 2020. That is what happened. As far as we are concerned as UPND, this Bill died on the 4th June 2020. There was an attempt by the Minister of Justice (Given Lubinda) when he wrote a letter to request Parliament to allow him to debate the bill on the 30th of June. Mr Speaker, you cannot extend a Bill that has already lapsed, it had died on the 4th of June,” Mwiimbu said. “After the death of this particular bill, two weeks later it was cremated, the ashes were thrown in the Zambezi River, they are now in the Indian Ocean. We cannot, ourselves as UPND, be part of a process which we do not agree with, we cannot be part of a process which is fraudulent.”

He said the UPND knows that the PF was so desperate for Bill 10 because it was a ventilator for the PF.

“This is why the PF are insisting that Bill 10 be resurrected even when the ashes are in the Indian ocean. It is because of what the Constitutional Court ruled on the eligibility of the current President and that is why they are insisting that Bill 10 be brought because they want to make amendments to Article 52, that is the reason Mr Speaker,” Mwiimbu said. “Mr Speaker, we will not be part and parcel of a process that is a fraud process. If you want to pass it, you will pass it on your own; we will not be part and parcel of anything that deals with Bill 10.”

Mwiimbu said he would not assist the PF look for oxygen to put in a ventilator for them to start breathing again.

He said when the PF did not agree with amendments to a bill by the MMD, they decided to open the door and walked out of Parliament.

“We are also opening that door Mr Speaker and we will walk out. We will not be part and parcel; if they have the numbers to pass Bill 10, let them pass it on their own. We will not be part and parcel. With those few remarks Mr Speaker, with your permission, I am leaving the chamber,” said Mwiimbu and he picked his bags to walk out.

However, Lubinda and other PF members protested Mwiimbu’s statement and urged him to stay on to hear their side.

Speaker Dr Patrick Maitibini called for order and Mwiimbu took his seat.

The Speaker explained that it was a simple process of merely restoring the bill to the order paper and it did not need lengthy debates.

After the Speaker’s guidance, Mwiimbu and other UPND members in the chamber walked out leaving the PF inside.

Lubinda and Kabwe Central member of parliament Tutwa Ngulube debated before the Speaker put the question on whether or not the bill should be restored.

British man divorces his wife of eight years, marries mother-in-law

0

Clive Bunden and his wife Brenda, from Warrington, Cheshire, have now been together for more than three decades, despite the fact that he was married to her daughter, Irene in 1977.

The Mirror UK reports that they have been together for more than three decades, married 13 years and are still blissfully happy, despite the unconventional start to their relationship.

Clive Blunden’s wife, Brenda, used to be his mother-in-law.

He was even arrested after he asked her to marry him but, undeterred, they made history when the law was changed in 2007 and they tied the knot.

It is fair to say their unusual coupling raised a few eyebrows. But 10 years on, they have no regrets.

“People thought we wouldn’t last but we are stronger than ever,” said Clive, 65. We’re together 24/7 and there’s a magic to it.”

Brenda, 77, added: “Clive is a gentleman and he looks after me. I can get a bit argumentative but he quietens me down.”

Brenda wasn’t such a fan of Clive when he got together with her daughter Irene.

In fact, she disliked him the moment she saw him.

Clive and Irene married in 1977 and had daughters Sarah and Tanya before divorcing in 1985.

Four years later, Clive and Brenda began dating in secret.

“We fell in love,” said Brenda. “One night, he took me for a drink and we ended up kissing.”

In 1997, they decided to marry. But a few days after they put their banns up at the register office in their hometown of Warrington, Cheshire, Clive was arrested.

He was told there was a “lawful impediment” to marrying his mother-in-law and warned he could be jailed for up to seven years if they went ahead with it.

Because Brenda’s first husband, Richard, had passed away and Irene remarried, they wrongly assumed they would be free to wed.

Instead, they had to settle for Brenda changing her surname to Clive’s by deed poll.

But this wasn’t good enough for the smitten groom-to-be, who began campaigning for the 500-year-old law to be altered.

“I thought we should be married because we had been through everything together,” he explained.

“We were being stopped unfairly. I didn’t think it was right, so I wanted to change it.”

It was 10 years before a European court ruled a ban on in-laws marrying was a violation of human rights.

“I remember when we heard the news on the TV, in September 2005,” said Clive.

“I went down on one knee straight away and proposed to Brenda. I had tears in my eyes.”

On March 17, 2007, they finally became husband and wife at Warrington register office – the same place where Clive had married Irene 30 years earlier.

The majority of their families, including Irene, did not wish to attend. Only one distant relative sent them a congratulations card.

Clive, who serenaded Brenda with a rendition of Westlife’s You Raise Me Up, said: “It was a very emotional day.

“It had been a struggle to get to that point but it was a wonderful day and we will always remember it.”

Brenda said: “Our families didn’t come because they didn’t agree with it. But all we cared about was being with each other.”

The newlyweds headed off for a month-long honeymoon in Spain – but after hitting headlines, they were instantly recognised.

Brenda said: “We went to Benidorm thinking we’d get away from it all.

“We got to the apartments and, God help me, they all knew who we were.

“The barman said, ‘Oooh, we’ve got celebs’. But everyone was really nice about it, we had a fantastic honeymoon.”

And thankfully, married life was everything they had hoped for.

Clive said: “Marriage to Brenda has definitely changed me. I felt different straight away.

“I was more relaxed. Until we got married I felt something was missing.

“We’ve been through a lot so to come out of it the other end is an achievement.

“What made it perfect for me is we can be on our own all day and still get along. We would do it all again.

Brenda said: “Clive is caring and lovable and he looks after me very well.

“We do argue and I think I have always been a challenge to Clive. But it is about give and take and trust.

“He does have some bad habits. His nail-biting drives me mad. I still joke about how much I disliked him when he was going out with my daughter and became my son-in-law.

“We don’t go out of our way to tell strangers how we met and when we do they don’t believe us.

“A lot of people thought it wouldn’t last but we can’t live without each other.”

On holiday to Benidorm earlier this year, Brenda had a health scare.

“Oxygen wasn’t getting to my heart and they had to put a pacemaker in,” she said.

“Thankfully, I’m doing smashing now. Clive’s my carer – he does everything for me. We’re still so happy.”

People Attend HH’s Rallies Merely For Body Viewing -Paul Moonga

0

By Patson Chilemba

Ruling PF Lusaka provincial chairperson Paul Moonga says people were attending Hakainde Hichilema’s rallies in the recently held elections merely for body viewing, saying the only wind of change in the country is that Zambians want PF to continue in power.

But opposition UPND leader Hichilema in a Facebook posting, stated that he hoped Zambians who voted “for our opponents”, will appreciate the UPND’s message “of hope, national unity and economic development in 2021, and vote for us.”

Speaking with Daily Revelation on the PF victories in Lukashya and Mwansabombwe parliamentary by-elections, Moonga said he was at pains to see the much talked about wind of change which those in the opposition ranks were touting.

“I agree there is wind of change, there is a very big wind of change and people do not want the opposition that’s the wind of change. Wind of change yes is there for us we are growing from strength to strength so there is wind of change,” Moonga said. “They can’t just tell you that PF is becoming stronger and stronger under the able leadership of Dr Edgar Chagwa Lungu, his humbleness, humility. He never insults back you can call him all sorts of names he has no vulgar language. He’s brought up from a compound in Chawama.”

As well as winning the two parliamentary seats, the PF also won in wards by-elections in Luangwa and Mpongwe, in Lusaka and Copperbelt rural respectively.

For their part, the UPND also grabbed victories in the two wards of Lufwanyama on the Copperbelt and in Mufumbwe, North Western Province

However, Moonga wondered where the UPND would get the votes, if PF was still winning elections soundly in their own strongholds while eating into the UPND strongholds at the same time.

“Lusaka Province is a no go area for UPND, they know it. Iwe mwana you tell me someone can win PF in Matero, Munali, Mandevu, Lusaka Central, Kabwata? You must be a joker. You must be a joker. Let them try their luck elsewhere unless I’m not the provincial chairperson for Lusaka,” Moonga said. “So Lusaka and Copperbelt, they may try Copperbelt in rural areas where they can speak with their language. But ultimately the majority of the big votes (are) in Lusaka.”

Moonga charged that Hichilema should not get too excited with the huge crowds at his rallies, because people mostly attended them just to see how he looks like.

“You know Zambian people are very good, you can go for public rally, they are going there for body viewing, because even the dead person who is dead people come out of the Church they put the body on the door,” Moonga said. “They were just going there for body-viewing. Nothing it was body viewing as usual. Do you think everybody who was doing body viewing loves you? They go for body viewing just to see HH how he looks like. They are seeing for the last time. Amoneka shani na bibo yakwe (How does he look like)? Ni body viewing. Ultimately he lost. Bwana somewhere some polling stations they were hammered 600 against 0 kwati chiloto. He went with vulgar language there we have won him clean.”

However, Moonga congratulated the UPND on their own victories and for participating in the elections, saying that contributed towards the enhancement of the country’s democracy.

“Thank you very much HH and your team,” Moonga said.

He said the country’s founding president Dr Kenneth Kaunda liberated the country from colonialism under the UNIP government, Frederick Chiluba’s MMD delivered multipartism and the PF government was delivering development.

But Hichilema stated that the UPND would continue talking to those who did not vote for the party, and also thanked the candidates for their courageous fight, amidst many challenges they met along the way, saying they must not lose hope as opportunities abound and change was coming.

“An endurance athlete’s most important motivation for competition is to win and to win big, but it also affords them an opportunity to identify areas they need to improve upon for the next race. Where we won, we will strive to win big next time and where we lost, we will assess our performance and strive to do better,” stated Hichilema.“There’s no time for bickering and blame games but for serious examination, correction and moving forward, because we don’t have the luxury of time.”

The Danger Of Simple Majority In Law Making: The Evil Intention Of Bill 10

By McDonald Chipenzi

THE DANGER OF SIMPLE MAJORITY IN LAW MAKING: THE EVIL INTENTION OF BILL 10

The reinstatement of the controversial and oxygenated Constitution (Amendment) Bill 10 of 2019 on the Order Paper by a simple majority of MPs mainly from one party, in this case the PF and by proclamation on motion like that, shows the danger of using a simple majority in our parliamentary system which is multiparty.

The reason the 2/3 majority was and is enshrined was/is to promote inclusive, canvassing and persuasion, and consensus before any Act is passed into law or a motion is approved by the MPs from all political divide. into law.

The insistence by the PF on Bill 10 despite its death is basically to pass laws without the involvement of and consenus from other political parties in the National Assembly and stakeholders outside the national assembly.

I highlighted last time on this platform that there are close to 35 “As prescribes” in Bill 10 entailing enacting Acts of Parliament which are passed by a simple not 2/3 majority. The PF has that number secured but are struggling with 2/3.

The reinstatement of the Bill 10 motion on the order paper by PF dominated MPs is a good example of how, if Bill 10 is passed, laws will enacted.

Some of the clauses that require “As Prescribes” include Art 68 on the composition of Parliament, Art 47 on the Electoral system at parliamentary level, Art 52 on challenging the eligibility of aspiring candidates at Presidential, parliamentary and local government levels, Art 165 on the dethronement and enthronement of a chief, among others.

If Bill 10 passes and assented into law which President Lungu is waiting to do, the PF with the simple majority in the National Assembly will determine the number of MPs in the National Assembly and empowered to change numbers at anytime of their convenient either to increase in their stronghold and never in the opponents’.

The PF will determine the Electoral system on their own and if it fails , change it anytime to their suit and will determine how chiefs will be and not be recognised and the vocal ones against government risk being dethroned or not recognised.

The intention of Bill 10 is to create and have a one party dominated parliament in law MAKING by reducing the process to a simple majority issue making law making “made simple” in Zambia. Such laws, however, don’t last long as they are just for a season and during the reign of that administration.

My appeal to all MPs of good will frustrate and reject Bill 10 as it reverses all democratic gains so fair amassed. We a multiparty electoral democracy and the democratic system we are in must promote inclusiveness in decision making and above all law making.

COUNTRY MEN AND WOMEN,

*4. LAW OF DIMINISHING RETURNS:* UPND IS SHRINKING AND LIFE PRESIDENT HICHILEMA HAS LONG LOST MEANINGFULNESS TO ZAMBIAS DEMOCRATIC SPACE- HE MUST DO THE HONOURABLE THING AND STAND DOWN
ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF DIMINISHING RETURNS, IF ONE INPUT IN THE PRODUCTION OF A COMMODITY IS INCREASED WHILE ALL OTHER INPUTS ARE HELD FIXED, A POINT WILL EVENTUALLY BE REACHED AT WHICH ADDITIONS OF THE INPUT YIELD PROGRESSIVELY SMALLER, OR DIMINISHING, INCREASES IN OUTPUT.

SINCE 2006 WHEN HE CONTROVERSIALLY USURPED LEADERSHIP THROUGH A TRIBALLY INSPIRED CAMPAIGN, UPND HAVE MADE AN INPUT OF HICHILEMA INTO 5 CONSECUTIVE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS AND HE HAS YIELDED ZERO RETURNS OVER A 15 YEAR PERIOD.

IN THE LONG-DRAWN-OUT 15 YEARS OF HIS LEADERSHIP, UPND HAS NEVER GONE TO A CONVENTION TO CHOOSE LEADERSHIP AT ANY LEVEL OF THE PARTY- LET ALONE THE PRESIDENCY.

IN THE MEANTIME, HE SURREPTITIOUSLY AMENDED ARTICLE 70 OF THE UPND CONSTITUTION TO THE EFFECT THAT THE PARTY WILL ONLY START COUNTING HIS TENURE AS UPND PRESIDENT IN THE VERY HIGHLY UNLIKELY EVENT HE BECOMES STATE PRESIDENT.

HICHILEMA’S SELFSEEKING AMEMNDMENT TO HIS PARTY’S CONSTITUTION IS AN ACT OF SUPREME *HYPOCRACY* AND ABOVE ALL AN INSULT TO ZAMBIAN DEMOCRACY AND GOOD GOVERNANCE. MAYBE IT SHOULD NOT SURPRISE ANYBODY- THE MAN IS FULL OF INSULTS!

WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE ZAMBIA’S MAIN OPPOSITION HAS BEEN SHACKLED BY THE GREED OF A SERIALLY REJECTED TRIBAL TYRANT WHO HAS MANIPULATED HIS PARTY CONSTITUTION TO GIVE HIMSELF AN UNLIMITED TENURE.

IN THE MENTIME, UPND IS SUFFERING DIMINISHING RETURNS AS THEY LOSE MOST OF THEIR STRONGHOLDS WHILE THEIR DICTATOR IS BUSY MASSAGING HIS EGO AND SCOOPING ALL SOCIAL MEDIA SEATS, ALL PROPAGANDA SEATS AND ALL INSULTING SEATS. SHAME!
UPND IS IN A HUGE LEADERSHIP CRISIS. THEY WILL CONTINUE DIMINISHING WITH THEIR EXPIRED GONGA PRODUCT.

*5. ZAMBIANS ARE FATIGUED WITH HH UPND MEMBERS ARE FATIGUED WITH HH.*

ZAMBIANS ARE FATIGUED WITH HH UPND MEMBERS ARE FATIGUED WITH HH.

DON’T BLAME STEPHEN KATUKA, HE’S INNOCENT… *UBWAFYA NI HH!*
IN THE INTERSET OF MEANINGFUL DEMOCRACY IN ZAMBIA, THE *“MAIN OPPOSITION”* URGENTLY NEEDS TO REPLACE THEIR SOUR *“GONG’A”* PRODUCT WITH A REAL CONTENDER CARRYING INTEGRITY. NOT A PRETENDER.

HH MUST IMMEDIATELY RESIGN IN THE INTEREST OF DEMOCRACY AND DECENCY.
LET UPND FIND A DIFFERENT PERSON IF THEY’RE SERIOUS ABOUT BEING WORTHY COMPETITORS *PANTU TUKAMUFIKINA MU 2021 THAN EVER BEFORE!*

*6. HICHILEMA’S INTEGRITY IS ALSO IN RUINS.*

HOW CAN THE OPPOSITION BE EFFECTIVE WHEN ITS LEADER IS SUFFERING FROM A CRITICAL- IF NOT TERMINAL CRISIS OF INTEGRITY?

HICHILEMA STILL OWES ZAMBIANS AN EXPLANATION ON HOW HE BECAME A DIRECTOR IN SUN HOTELS. HOW DID HE END UP BECOMING A DIRECTOR IN A COMPANY THAT WAS BIDDING TO BUY A STATE ASSET AND HE WAS THE ONE APPOINTED TO DO THE VALUATION BY GOVERNMENT? HE MUST EXPLAIN THE PRIVITISATION OF INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL LIVINGSTONE AND RAINBOW LODGE AND HOW HE BECAME A DIRECTOR IN SUN HOTELS.
HE MUST ALSO PROPERLY EXPLAIN THE RAMCOZ PRIVITISATION.

IS HE THE HAKAINDE SAMMY HICHILEMA THAT ALLEGEDLY STASHED AWAY MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN TAX HAVENS AS WAS REPORTED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CONSORTIUM OF INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISTS (ICIJ) IN THE PANAMA PAPERS? HE MUST CLARIFY.

*7. CONCLUSION*

AS I CONCLUDE, I ONCE AGAIN WISH TO THANK THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE FOR THEIR CONTINUED CONFIDENCE IN THE PATRIOTIC FRONT GOVERNMENT LED BY HIS EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU.

THE RETENTION OF THE PEOPLE’S CONFIDENCE IN PF IS THE RESULT OF PRESIDENT LUNGU’S ALL-EMBRACING LEADERSHIP OF LEAVING NO ONE BEHIND IN THE PF DRIVEN NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGENDA.

VIVA HIS EXCELLENCY DR EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU
VIVA PATRIOTIC FRONT
ALUTA CONTINUA!
GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

I THANK YOU.

WHY IS THE OPPOSITION FAILING TO PENETRATE RURAL AREAS UP NORTH?

0

WHY IS THE OPPOSITION FAILING TO PENETRATE RURAL AREAS UP NORTH?

Every election is an opportunity for self introspection and analysis, what went right and what went wrong?

In May 2020 after the previous round of By Elections, we did a similar analysis about rural voters.

As NDC we feel we’ve identified where the problem is and we think we know the solution.

WHAT’S THE PROBLEM?

Zambia has two economies, the urban economy and the rural economy.

In the urban economy the things that matter are unemployment, cost of living, load shedding, corruption, inflation, fuel, dollar exchange rate etc.

But in the rural economy these things are irrelevant, the people there are self employed as peasant farmers. 90% of the rural voters grow their own food, they live in villages, they don’t use electricity, they draw their water from wells and they certainly don’t feel the effects of inflation, load shedding etc. They are used to their way of life.

In rural Zambia what matters is just access to seed, fertilizer, land and eventually FRA buying the produce from them, end of story. And PF has mastered this game, they know what to take to rural areas during by elections. The opposition can’t take the same because only the PF as the ruling party has access to these state resources through FRA and Ministry of Agriculture.

The mistake we the opposition keep making over and over again is to go to these villages and start talking about corruption, fire tenders, inflation etc.
That message should stay in Lusaka and the Copperbelt. It doesn’t work in rural areas.
That message is irrelevant to rural Zambia, they don’t know about corruption and all these urban problems the PF has created.

The only way to reach out to rural voters is through a strong but easy to translate agricultural policy. This is the key to winning them over.

More and cheaper agricultural inputs.
Cooperatives.
Access to machinery.
Higher FRA crop buying price.

This is the message we need to take to rural Zambia.

As is know in marketing, there are the 4 P’S. Product, Place, Price, Promotion.

The rural vote is a niche market and it needs a tailor made specifically designed campaign message.

The only other challenges we have are access to rural voters because the PF routinely blocks us using the police, and also a lack of financial resources to reach the far flung areas.

And yes there still is an element of tribal voting in all rural provinces, that is unlikely to change but a good percentage of people can be converted with the right message.

IT’S PERILOUS FOR PF…I advise them to simply lose elections and go – HH

0

UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema has charged that the PF will not “survive the trap” in the August 2021 elections because crookedness has a limit.

He says despite the ruling party being in “complete disarray” now, Zambians should not expect an official announcement of failure.

Hichilema told Zambians that this was not time for them to start believing any PF conspiracy against him and the UPND.

“PF will not climb on an anthill to officially announce that ‘we have failed.’ Haven’t you seen that their firefighting tactics have been intensified? That’s their way of announcing their failure and sometimes I wonder why it has taken this long for some of you to detect this governance catastrophe,” Hichilema said. “This absolutely incompetent team of men and women in PF is now in this visible disarray. Complete disarray and many sensible people in there (in the PF) agree with our position as UPND. Of course, they will not confirm that with you and we don’t expect them to do that, anyway.”

He added: “the people of Zambia shouldn’t be waiting for a reminder from anyone to see and even feel the failure of this government.”

“PF has failed but they are doing all this cheap politicking to keep themselves beyond the desire of the people of Zambia. But this time around, they will not survive the trap. Crookedness has a limit, no doubt about that,” Hichilema cautioned.

“We are closely monitoring PF, day and night and I advise them to simply lose elections and go, without resorting to committing any more crimes against the people of Zambia. It’s perilous for them!”

He requested Zambians, amidst the barefaced failure: “of this so-called government,” to start preparing themselves to vote out the PF in exactly 11 months from now.

“This is not time to believe in defective isms which are being advanced by the propaganda apparatus of PF. I appeal to the people of Zambia that do not buy the PF’s narrative of tribalism or anything damaging against us,” Hichilema said. “They have been sitting in those executive offices to do nothing but to unfairly drive a wedge between the people of Zambia and HH and of course, the UPND. [But] we thank the people of Zambia for tossing out the PF’s bigotry against us, each time these despicable people tried to frame those of us in the UPND. Please, mwebena Zambia my word to you is that continue guarding against any negative conspiracies of PF on the UPND in general and HH in particular.”

Hichilema underscored that there are only 11 more months before the President Edgar Lungu led-PF could be voted out.

He believes that the UPND and himself, “courtesy of the people of Zambia, God’s will,” would be in government next year.

“We’ll immediately start working on fixing basically everything in this country. [I say] everything in the sense that PF has turned Zambia into some sort of a wreckage,” Hichilema said.

“But this is our country, our forefathers’, our children’s and their children’s country and so, we shall never ever let this country to be completely destroyed by a greedy assembly of characters, while we watch.”

The opposition leader asserted that he was prepared to revitalise Zambia’s fortunes.

“Most of these fellows in PF know about our seriousness. Why do you think they are throwing at you (the media) all these unfounded issues? They want to sidetrack your attention as media people, they want us to lose track but they are mistaken. Not HH and definitely not anyone else in the UPND. We are prepared to go the full distance and we mean what we say,” Hichilema said. “It is in this breath that I request the people of Zambia to either ignore or laugh at the malice of PF against us. PF is simply bidding farewell to the people of Zambia and I have no doubt in my mind that anyone who fairly enough follows our politics as a country knows why PF has become desperate.”

He said, “if anything, their desperation will get hotter as we get closer to August next year.”

“The last kicks of this dying horse called PF will get harder. But we’ll not give them any slightest chance to continue this misrule that the people of Zambia have continued to endure,” Hichilema said. “Can you, for a minute, think about another five years of PF in power! What more disaster, in the general sense, can this country see? Everyone should know by now that the rule of law broke down in this country some years back, under the leadership of this same PF.”

He further reiterated that Zambia’s economy was suffocated

“If you look at the dollar-kwacha rate today, it’s very sickening. I have deliberately avoided to intrinsically start a deep economic explanation because there is a tendency by some people to hate numbers. But I like numbers because they don’t lie….” said Hichilema. “But the surprising thing, despite the state in which our economy is, is that people still want to talk about non-issues. How can that be logical, surely? That’s what happens when one has lost legitimacy; they rent user-friendly voices to start pandering all sorts of things.”

Lungu has lowered the presidency

0

Dr Kenneth Kaunda took the Zambian presidency to very high heights and Edgar Lungu has brought it down, down, down to the lowest levels.

And Harry Kalaba is very right when he says that Edgar Lungu has lowered the Office of President to unthinkable levels.

It seems like standards have been lowered just about everywhere in our society and it appears to be happening just when we need the highest standards ever. If any society is to compete in a global marketplace, and for that matter just on the global stage, that society must have standards that exceed average and expectations for performance that match the standards. But evidence persists that tells us that our standards have been lowered and along with those lower standards we expect less as well.

In what areas have we lowered our standards? We believe we have lowered our standards in a multitude of areas such as education, safety, product quality, efficiency, and morality. Some people might ask why Edgar Lungu has done this but we will tell you it’s not him that has lowered the standards; it is us – we the people! Our President cannot do anything unless we allow him to do so. We relinquish our responsibility as citizens and allow others to decide for us when less than half of the people who are eligible to vote actually vote in elections. Our elected officials should be important to each and every one of us but many Zambians have decided it is not worth their time to become informed and to voice their opinion. It is easier to complain about the politicians than it is to personally take responsibility for making the nation stronger and better.

Our standards have not been lowered by design; they have been lowered by default.

Nowhere in our society has the lowered standard had a greater impact than it has when we consider our nation’s morality. The fact that we now accept lying, cheating, stealing, and most-crass behaviours as being “everyday things” sets us on a path to destruction and we are not suggesting that “God will strike us down for our sins.” What we are saying is that as we allow our standards to be lowered, we allow our expectations to be lowered and this will result in poorer performance which will affect us in every possible negative way as a nation. When the standards slip, the discipline required to succeed will also slip and ultimately it is the lack of discipline that will do us in.

As a leader it is critical that you know what you value and believe in. It is essential that you hold yourself to a high standard and that you hold your people to a high standard as well. As soon as the standards are allowed to be lowered you will prove that your government cannot discipline itself to a point that will be needed for success.

If you expect less, you might as well say – let’s cheat!

Lungu is behind Nawakwi’s idle privatisation debate – UPND

0

THE UPND says it finds President Edgar Lungu’s desire to concentrate on Hakainde Hichilema’s involvement in the privatization programme 30 years ago lacking seriousness from a Head of State who is leading a country in crisis.

Party secretary general Stephen Katuka said President Lungu should tell his ministers who stayed in office illegally to pay back what they stole from Zambians instead of singing “empty” privatisation songs.

“President Hakainde Hichilema has never been in government. It is also clear that Edgar Lungu is the one behind the idle privatisation debate being spearheaded by FDD leader Edith Nawakwi,” he said. “Considering government spokesperson Dora Siliya’s statement that government will spend time to study and investigate the privatisation allegations, it is now clear that Edgar Lungu is scared of facing HH in a free and fair election.”

Katuka warned that the UPND was ready to teach PF a lesson with Hichilema as the opposition party’s presidential candidate.

“We wish to remind Mr Lungu that his own ministers have failed to subject themselves to lifestyle audits and are now behaving like ba Mwankole (ravens). They indeed came to steal and not to run the economy. What is sad is that after running down the economy, destroying the kwacha and creating a bad business environment, Mr Lungu can now start talking about privatisation,” he said. “We expect Mr Lungu to tell us who owns the 48 houses. We expect Mr Lungu to tell us who was behind the gassing of citizens. We also expect Mr Lungu to tell the people of Zambia the correct price of 42 fire engines. Let Lungu tell us when he is going to create jobs for thousands of graduates on the street. Let him tell us when he is going to pay UNZA workers their terminal benefits and gratuity. Let Lungu tell us what plans he has for persons with disabilities. Further, let him tell us the real price of the ambulances government bought.”

Katuka said the PF government was corrupt.

“Let them tell us who is constructing or resurfacing the Great East Road. Zambians are hunger stricken because of his poor leadership. Many Zambians cannot afford three meals in a day because of Lungu’s poor leadership. We demand that Lungu owns up for destroying our economy. Imwe ba Mwankole (you ravens)!” said Katuka.

Drumming up support for PF parliamentary candidate for Mwansabombwe Constituency Kabaso Kampampi in Mbereshi on Monday, President Lungu said it was unfortunate that some political party leaders accused him of selling a presidential jet when they are the ones who are used to trading in State properties.

He urged Zambians to be wary of some selfish politicians who do not put the interest of the people first before theirs.

“The PF has the interest of people at heart but someone was accusing me of selling a presidential plane, which is a lie. They are the ones who are used to selling [State] property and they can even come and sell State House and the country if you vote for them,” said President Lungu.

Recently, Nawakwi accused Hichilema of not declaring interest during the privatisation of national assets in the 1990.

PF NOW OPENLY WAGING WAR AGAINST ZAMBIANS

PF NOW OPENLY WAGING WAR AGAINST ZAMBIANS.

By: Anthony Bwalya – Citizen of the Republic of Zambia and Member of UPND.

The country has just seen a tasteless footage, of some Patriotic Front (PF) thugs violently destroying a UPND branded motor vehicle in Kasama, in FULL VIEW of armed police personnel.

Now, before the cartoon leadership of the party in power even tries to mock the intelligence of Zambians by “condemning” this act of animalistic barbarism, let the Zambian people be aware, that the PF is now an openly criminal regime anchored on high crimes of corruption, thuggery, violence and terrorism.

And there exists a wealth of evidence to that effect.

First of all, Zambia no longer has a President in charge. We only have a proxy President who is now only acting for and on behalf of criminal elements both inside and outside of the PF political establishment.

If Zambia had a President in charge, those charged with the responsibility to maintain law and order in our country would diligently serve him to ensure that he fulfils this key constitutional mandate to the Zambian people.

How do you serve a proxy President?

Earlier this year, the livelihoods of ordinary people were destroyed when this proxy President hopelessly watched while a carefully orchestrated string of homegrown terror attacks were occasioned against innocent citizens. Schools and homes were attacked and people murdered in cold blood while this proxy President watched.

To date, the proxy President has failed to constitute a commission of inquiry to establish the identity of the terrorists, their source of funding and how they were able to crisscross the country so fast without the detection of law enforcement agencies.

But then again, it turns out the proxy President has an affinity for criminality, that is how his name is now potentially on the international watchlist for state sponsors of international terrorism after he was mentioned in a foreign court of law, under oath, for being a financier of an armed rebel group fighting to unseat a serving president of another country.

It is under this proxy President that named international terrorism suspects have turned Zambia into both a grooming and organizing ground, using our land as a regional terrorism financing centre. Why has this guy and his government failed to investigate the terrorism financing activity flagged on Zambian soil by the Financial Intelligence Center in the 2018 Report?

The tactics now being employed by the PF regime are typical of despot regimes. They are now intent on fanning armed and violent discontent in the country as a means to justify the sabotage of constitutional rule in Zambia.

This is a regime that has openly waged war on listed corporate entities like the Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC), Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) and now attempting a brutal takeover of Sun International Hotels in Zambia as a means to hand critical sectors of the economy to business mafias friendly to the regime.

This is the same proxy President who has handed $500m worth of unprocessed gold deposits to foreign owned entities with known links to terrorism, with these companies being headed by individuals with links to internationally sanctioned individuals by the US, UK, EU and UN.

The PF know that the country’s economy is now beyond redemption and is headed for a certain collapse.

But to legitimize the destruction of what was once a buzzing and promising young economy, like a looted office, BURN IT DOWN.

Zambians must brace themselves for the very worst ahead of the 2021 general election.

We are not dealing with a government.

We are dealing with thugs whose only claim to power is the facade of the shambolic 2016 general election.

We must stand together and defend our country.

Chief Chitimukulu should not let politicians reduce him to nothing

0

By Michael,

I thought the voice of the Chitimukulu should only be heard like that of a lion. When he speaks, the nation should shake.

He is being used as a playing field by PF. He is reducing himself so much to the unthinkable level.

Why is the Litunga so much feared by government and respected by the citizens?* Litunga only speak where necessary. He is seen only where applicable.

At times one would wonder, why did Late President Michael Sata refused ba Current Chitimukulu to be Chitimukulu? What did Sata see or know about ba Sosala?

From the acts and behavior our father is portraying now, one would conclude, there is certainly something which the PF founder saw and knew.

Our father should realize that supporting the government of the day means offering both praises and critique to the government not scandalizing the opposition.

Scandalizing political parties is for cadres and politicians where as the Chief especially at his level as Chitimukulu is a not a political cadre and he is not a politician.

He is the father of the Nation. Ba Paramount Chitimukulu should use his energy on educating the national citizenry and governance on good will not hatred.

Our Father should emulate how Paramounts Mpezeni and Gawa Undi act. The eastern men have not allowed politics and politicians to reduce them to nothing. Few weeks ago we saw Paramount Mpezeni castigating government on maize confiscation in Chipata.

We saw him offering counsel to PF MPs who are not working as expected that people won’t allow them to contest again in 2021. That’s what the Chief should do. Leave politics for politicians.

Truthful speaking, has HH ever said anything bad about or to the Chieftainship of Bene Lubemba? Certainly not. When PF was chocking Chief Chitimukulu’s throat with over 500 police beating his people and blocking him entry to the palace, who was on his side? HH was there all way defending and comforting him till he ascended to the throne.

Zambians know that the Chitimukulu is under heavy instructions from PF to dent HH. There is nothing and completely nothing wrong which HH has done to the Chief. If it’s about James Lukuku, why not parade him at palace as a child of the nation.

Why not counsel him? Shifting and involving HH in this shows how much hatred and bitterness the Chief has for HH who is innocent. The battle was between James Lukuku and him as Chief not between HH and him as Chief. If the Chief want to include HH in this fight, why is he not including the whole current PF now in the grudge he had with Sata?

One thing for sure and evident is that the Chitimukulu is being used. It’s conclusive that PF life lies in the hands of the Chitimukulu. Without ba Chitimukulu, PF is dead.

But the Chief should realize that if him is PF, he has his biological children who are UPND. He has children in his clan, BRE, Bembaland who are UPND. He has children who no longer believe in PF as at now.

I would ask our father to use his energy on national issues and development than HH. Let the Chitimukulu spend much time praising the government on good works. Let him spend much time asking about corruption, theft, FIC, Agriculture, high cost of leaving, fuel prices, tendering costs etc. These matter to many citizens.

Our father should realize that being used or being forced to be used by politicians is not his level. Politicians come and go, governments come and go but being a Chitimukulu is for life. He has to realize that he will work with different politicians and governments.

If HH wronged him or he has rumors of HH, let the Chitimukulu spell them out to him as HH. As it now the Chitimukulu is just exposing his hatred for HH. But he should know that hating HH is as good as hating his own people.

Michael

HH Will Never Walk Alone – James Lukuku

0

*Treatment against President HH by some Northern Province Chiefs is nothing but water off the Duck’s Back. How can Sunday Chanda and GBM hallucinate and Chiefs resonate?*

_James Kasanda Musendeka Lukuku RPP President_

*Introduction*
The Chitimukulu and another reported Chief refused to meet President HH on 14th September, 2020.

*Reason*
Purpotedly, Alliance Partners of President HH insulted the Chitimukulu.

*Question*
Which Alliance Partner insulted the Chitimukulu? The Chitimukulu told Edgar Lungu Lukuku issued insulting remarks in a statement.

*Truth*
I James Lukuku have never issued any Statement in the name of the Alliance about the Chitimukulu. Never and not even a single Statement. Everything I wrote about the Chitimukulu I wrote as my self in capacity as RPP President.

*Deceit*
GBM and Sunday Chanda held a press briefing under the Smart Eagles platform. They told the nation a lie that I worked under instruction from President HH to issue disparaging remarks against the chief. Daily Nation New paper exaggerated the lie, magnified it, and the Chitimukulu picked it from there.

*How does President HH come in?*
It’s all witch hunt. It’s all funded, sponsored and financed tribalism, and it’s totally witchcraft mentality. What’s at play is propaganda and mortal hatred.

*Apology*
Over my dead body!

*What really happened?*
The Chitimukulu featured on Radio Mano and announced his intentions to formulate a civil society with aims and objectives centred on voter education to deal with voter apathy. The way the Chitimukulu presented himself sounded to many, as hate speech against Tonga People of Southern Province. A cross section of Zambian citizens condemned the Chitimukulu for going partisan.

*My point blank response.*
Yes my response was point blank and I openly condemned the chief.

*Way forward.*
President HH will never walk alone. There is absolutely no need for President HH to apologise for sentiments and actions he never did. I am not the Spokesperson of President HH and neither am I a member of the Upnd. I must repeat, it’s witchcraft mentality for the PF to insist on getting an apology from President HH.

Let God protect President HH. These are just Malawian foreigners asking for our submission before them. Otherwise in my own country I can’t submit to a person of questionable nationality.

Zambians will have to judge for themselves if there is anything that President HH has done to deserve the ridicule and humiliation from those chiefs that refused to meet him.

Let us not forget the real power of statehouse envelops that the PF have always used to compromise chiefs and gain favour.

God bless President HH. Forces of darkness will never subdue light.

*James Kasanda Musendeka Lukuku RPP President*

Am Ready To Share A Cell With Home Affairs Minister Hon Steven Kampyongo- Makayi

0

……PRESS STATEMENT.

AM READY TO SHARE A CELL WITH HOME AFFAIRS MINISTER HON STEVEN KAMPYONGO-MAKAYI

By Edward Roy Makayi.

God in heaven should understand that am living in a country where a minister brings his cadres at your camp beats all of you assaults you steals bicycles and all you should do is simply keep quiet and clap hands since he is a leader. Since we can’t fight him or report him to police because he is the boss of the police I believe it’s in my every right to react even if it means insulting him since judgement day is not coming very soon mwe Lesa am just human with reactive instinct if am pushed to the wall.

Otherwise we need to revisit the law what does it say about bad manners or behaviours? Is it in order for a cabinet minister to go and attack other camps and if youths rise to insult him then the they should be arrested? You courts am addressing you what degree of Justice is there ? You are the ones that entertains this case called Defamation without considering what factors causes it. These PF leaders are so annoying no matter how holy one is you can’t manage but react because it’s just too much. To this end am ready to insult Hon Kampyongo in front of the judge in court if they are the one’s that sends him then they will hear me out. Because if they have no problem with Hon Kampyongo attacking UPND camp and assaulting us am sure they have no problem with me or my colleagues insulting him. So please release Ron Chivube and other UPND youths unconditionally now because the only person who deserves to be arrested is Hon Kampyongo.

If that’s the case then let us all be arrested we share a same cell. Because had Hon Kampyongo not come to UPND camp no one would be talking about him. No one is talking about Energy minster in Lukashya or Finance Minister but Hon Kampyongo so how is it a crime to ask for trouble and get it? If this is the new syllabus of Zambian political behaviors then am ready to quit politics because my normal senses can’t allow me to storm PF camp or MMD camp to provoke them then expect praises then am an idiot or a big fool. So I doubt if Hon Kampyongo has 5 senses to think that what he did was right he should get away with it never not when I saw it with my own naked eyes.
When you have the authority to preside over national matters you have to behave in a manner that befits your status. Unfortunately hon Kampyongo’s behaviors in Lukashya do not attract praises but anger and insults hence him alone should take responsibility for everything.

UPND members where attacked at the rally by PF cadres with guns and teargas the matter was reported to the police more vehicles where damaged yet no one among PF cadres was summoned for questioning or arrests.

Yesterday we all survived by the grace of God whatever they wanted to arrest us for nobody knows.
Where have you ever seen over 40 UPND members assaulting one 16 year old PF cadre?.

The police are complaining that they don’t like or agree what Hon Kampyongo is doing but they have no choice than to follow orders; orders that have limits because the police are also frustrated. I have professional friends as police officers who joined to serve with passion for Mother Zambia but they are complaining they don’t like what is going on. Some of us are even disturbed of campaigning everyday we are busy going to the hospital for our colleagues who where injured by PF cadres, a 67 year old man his hand was broken everyday we are at hospital nursing him the police instead of looking for Hon Kampyongo to question him why he took PF cadres to the UPND camp they are busy looking for me why did I insult Hon Kampyongo like seriously who is he not to be insulted if angers people badly?

Mr Kampyongo Sir I have told you I won’t apologize for your nonsense. The fact that you have power does not give you rights to be attacking UPND camps so that when they insult you in anger you rush to court go to court I dare you right now am ready to justify my actions and may I warn you that am not your child kill your children’s if you don’t like them not me Shiwangandu will be too small for you mudala am NOT Lawrence Banda who will rest in peace try and see if you can handle my funeral I have more numbers than this small body you see elo I never came to Lukashya to be liked by you nor did I joined UPND to praise you.
So if you don’t want to behave yourself in order to attract respect then that’s your problem boss we shall give you what you ask insults of all types kaili that’s what we can afford you know how to avoid them else ask your fellow ministers who are not being insulted what their secret is.

WE REJECT NSHINDANO’S VOTER ROLL MANIPULATION SCHEMES

0

WE REJECT NSHINDANO’S VOTER ROLL MANIPULATION SCHEMES

Indeed common sense is not common among common people.
We will put the spotlight on Mr Nshindano of ECZ because he’s a threat to the democracy of Zambia.
By his schemes he’s trying to alter the voters register and prevent certain demographics of the population from voting.

The current voters roll was developed over a period 10 years from 2005 to 2015, each and every voter on that roll is fully VERIFIED!

So why is this man trying to throw away the voters roll as if it belongs to his mother?

Ni voters roll ya ba noko?

The voters roll is the property of the people of Zambia. We the people paid for the development of the voters roll, it’s fully verified and we trust it.

We will not tolerate Mr Nshindano playing games with our democracy, there will be a huge price to pay for those who try to prevent us from choosing our leaders democratically and without manipulation.

The voters roll was created over 3 election cycles and over a minimum of 90 days in each of the three registration periods, yet we are not at 9 million voters yet.

So where will Nshindano get the new 9 million voters he’s talking about in just 30 days, it means they already have millions on an alternative voters roll that is only known to themselves.

The only amendments that should be made to the current voters roll are ;

1: Addition of new voters

2: Replacement of lost voters cards.

3: Allow those who want to change constituencies, wards and polling stations.

4: Dead people can easily be removed from the voters roll, each death is recorded at the national births and deaths registry. ECZ can easily request for the NRC numbers of the dead from Ministry of Home Affairs and take them off the voters roll.

What’s so difficult about that?

By the way, ECZ is in breach of the Electoral Act of 2016. The law requires ECZ to conduct continuous voter registration. So even the 30 days is illegal and Nshindano does not have those powers in law to limit the voter registration period.

Voter registration should have been happening since 2016 and this is one of the main issues cited in the lawsuit that Pilato and others have made in the case against ECZ at the High Court.  -NDC

Mubita Nawa: Lessons From Chilufya Tayali

LESSONS FROM CHILUFYA TAYALI

Good morning. I write this article with great reservation. The reason I am reseved is that I never directly talk about Chilufya TAYALI. I never give him any attention because he does not deserve any. However, I write today so that Zambians can learn from the experiences of others.

1. Lesson one; MIND YOUR BUSINESS
2. BUILD PEOPLE. DO NOT DESTROY
3. WORK HARD DON’T BE A BEGGER
4. DO CLEAN POLITICS NOT DIRTY POLITICS
5. KEEP YOUR PRIVATE LIFE PRIVATE

In June this year on the 5th Chilufya TAYALI called B’Flow, Chellah Tukutah, Ken Dumbo and myself men who have failed in life. He called us unpritable names just because we were fighting for the economic freedom of ZAMBIA.

My fans asked me to respond and put Chilufya in his place. I did not. I chose to focus on what ZAMBIA was fighting for: Freedom from our present oppression.

I shall not comment further on Chilufya’s personal life. God will help and guide him.

But to all Zambians, let us learn from the challenges of others including learning from their foolishnesses and wisdom.

Do not believe the apologies of Tyali though. TAYALI is like that cockroach you swat and it pretends to be dead then when you return you find it gone or eating your food again. Let Tayali grow up and find something to do with his life. ZAMBIA has no room for crocodile tears.

He has destroyed many lives. Remember what he said about Vespers and how at the height of Vespers family pain he accused the innocent young lady of being a terrorist and of being a POLITICAL operative who deserved to die. We had to travel to Namwala to comfort Vespers family in the midst of ridiculous slander from Tayali.

We won’t treat Tayali the way he treats others. My father always told me to mind my business and to work hard. My mother told me to build people and not destroy lives.

Finally Zambians please know that Facebook is just a book. It’s excellent for business, thought process and ideological mindset transformative provocations. But facebook is not and will never be a good place to share the intricate details of minute by minute occurrences of your personal life.

Even with fake non responsible apologies, we forgive because we forgave him a long time ago. Tayali is a 48 year old ‘body’ in a 14 year old ‘mind’.

To the paymasters of Tayali know that it is time you grew up as well. Do clean politics. Zambians have changed and your tricks and attempts to pay propagandists to discredit others won’t work. Zambians can now read BETWEEN your blurred lines. If you are as good as you say you are why not fight without underhanded methods?

Let us live in a peaceful nation with equal laws (no Animal Farm). VIOLATIONS of laws to advance political agenda for self interest is not part of leadership nor humanity (Ubuntu).

This nation must never go in flames because of careless and greedy individuals who ignore the lessons of Rwanda twenty five years ago. This nation can learn from East and West Germany or from Belfast and accept that it is possible to be at peace. Those dividing us have somewhere else to live. They have somewhere else to go.

The majority of us only have one nation and it is our duty to defend this nation. ZAMBIA is a beautiful land and we must defend it’s borders from within.

Nathan Chanda demands that HH apologise to the Zambians and the SDA Church where he is an Elder

0

PF Copperbelt Chairman MCC Nathan Chanda has joined Zambians in condemning the recordings making social media in which the UPND Party President Hakainde Hichilema IS to using derogatory and uncultured insulting words against the respected bemba people of Kasama.

“Mr Hakainde Hichilema can never go to Monze and insult Tongas there, but he saw it fit to go and insult in the Bemba speaking area of Mwine Lubemba. Zambia is a Christian nation and national leaders are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that shows respect to all despite political differences. The Zambian people have heard for themselves what kind of leadership UPND party has. Without any remorse and with clear desperation to regain his lost political ground, the UPND leader has now resorted to insulting Zambians on public fora with no shame,” stated Mr Chanda.

Speaking on the sidelines of his busy by-elections campaigns in Lufwanyama and Mpongwe, the Copperbelt PF leader expressed his disappointment with the defensive attitude from some UPND party members who are trying to justify clear insults from their failed leader.

“I am aware that Mr. Hakainde is not only a parent but an Elder of a well established and respected SDA Church and I wonder what kind of leadership example he is portraying to the Church as well as the Youths in Zambia and his followers who are clapping for his insulting publicly for people he wants to vote is party.

What a shame to ba Pole! Pole! HH church Elder.

This is the reason why Zambians have been rejecting UPND party because of his questionable behaviour during Privatisation and now his loose mouth leaves much to be desired,” lamented Mr Chanda.

MCC Chanda, who has been advocating for issued based politics and non-violent campaigns, has called upon all well meaning Zambians to condemn the UPND Leader for being a bad ambassador for non-violence election campaigns and has further demanded that Mr. Hichilema offers a public apology for insulting the Zambians in Kasama.

Mr Chanda mentioned that he has left it to the church to condemne this immature conduct from a person eyeing the highest office in the land and finally to the law enforcement agencies in Zambia to investigate the matter thoroughly because using of insulting language is an offence under Section 179 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.

“Section 179 Every person who uses insulting language or otherwise conducts himself in a manner likely to give such provocation to any person as to cause such person to break the public peace or to commit any offence against the person, is liable to imprisonment for three months or to a fine not exceeding four hundred and fifty penalty units or to both.”

Yesterday recordings went viral in which the UPND leader is suspected to have uttered insulting words during his speech at a UPND public rally in Kasama.

Bushiri, Mboro fight ‘over woman’: Major 1 accused of hacking another prophet

0

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri is fighting with Prophet Paseka Mboro Motsoeneng over, among other things, recent claims made by a South African woman, Felicia Sibeko as Mboro accuses Bushiri of hacking social media accounts belonging to both Mboro and Sibeko.

Sibeko had alleged that Prophet Bushiri who is the leader of Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church scammed her of millions she invested in Bushiri’s gold and forex commodities scheme.

She claims to have invested about K7.4 million (R150 thousand) in the scheme when she was promised that her investment would generate close to K49 million (R1 million) in the space of six months.

However, she accused Bushiri who is commonly known as Major 1 of running away with her money without giving her a single coin.

“I was scammed by Shepherd Bushiri after investing the last money we had secured for us and the future of our children, selling our business because he assured us that we are definitely going to have great returns on our investment” said Sibeko.

“We were assured that our lives will change. However, we are now living in poverty. We are in debts. My child can’t go to varsity because we don’t even have a cent to buy my child clothes or food, not to mention school fees. This so called man of God, Major 1 ruined our lives. We only wanted a better life for ourselves, we trusted him”, said Sibeko in a statement.

She claims that all her efforts to recover the money she invested proved futile, prompting her to call the Malawian born prophet a liar who she alleged targets and steals from the “vulnerable and poor all in the name of God” to finance a lavish lifestyle.

“We’ve tried all we could to get hold of Major 1 so he can give us back our money but we’ve been blocked by his office it’s really sad to see how he takes us now after we’ve invested our last money on his fraudulent activities”

“I am so disappointed. We believed that he is used by God. We never doubted him as he claimed to be a Prophet of God. We are so disappointed” said Sibeko as she revealed to have opened a police case against Bushiri.

But in a twist of events, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri who has is yet to comment on her allegations has sued Prophet Paseka Mboro Motsoeneng of Incredible Happenings Ministries and president of the Church Mandate Turn Around Movement.

Bushiri filled the lawsuit soon after accusing Mboro of “making soulish prayers, and directing all sorts of bad remarks and name-calling, against me”.

Mboro confirmed being sued by Bushiri, revealing the lawsuit is in connection with Mboro’s involvement with Felicia Sibeko who he supported with groceries.

He said the summons are an attempt to intimidate and silence his efforts so that he could back down from helping people like Felicia Sibeko and her family.

Mboro said he is “not moved” and that he will fight the summons, accusing Bushiri of instigating a a conspiracy against the South African prophet.

“I will not back down from helping people in need because of summons which Bushiri legal team sent in attempts to intimidate and silent him. I will continue to stand up tall and defend, help and speak for anyone who needs my assistance” reads a statement allegedly by Prophet Mboro.

Meanwhile, Mboro has also claimed that he has been hacked allegedly by the ECG leader.

“Some of the videos where I spoke of Bushiri got deleted off our official Facebook. Clearly this is yet another attack from Bushiri and his hackers” said Mboro has also accuses Bushiri of running social media accounts and pages to tarnish his image.

He says Bushiri is running social media accounts that publish fake reports against Mboro, referring to the fake news that he had visited heaven where he took a selfie with Jesus and the recent reports that he went to hell where he killed the devil.

Mboro promises to sue Bushiri on behalf of other “poor people he robbed”.

Simusamba is ‘too compromised’ for judicial system – Nevers

0

MMD president Nevers Mumba says he does not think magistrate David Simusamba deserves to sit as a man discharging justice on behalf of God.

Commenting on the Judicial Complaints Commission’s recommendation that magistrate Simusamba be removed as a judicial officer following his (Mumba’s) complaint letter against him, Mumba said the magistrate was “too compromised”.

Following a complaint to the Judicial Complaints Commission by Mumba two years ago, the Secretary to the Commission responded with a recommendation that proceedings be commenced for the removal of magistrate Simusamba as a judicial officer.

According to a letter addressed to Mumba, JCC secretary Naisa Makeleta stated that, “RE: YOUR COMPLAINT AGAINST MAGISTRATE DAVID SIMUSAMBA. Reference is made to your complaint to the Commission as indicated above, dated 10th April, 2018. The Commission considered the complaint and having noted the issues raised therein, resolved to submit a report to the Judicial Service Commission with a recommendation that proceedings be commenced by the said body for the removal of Magistrate Simusamba as a judicial officer. The Secretary to the Judicial Service Commission has since responded stating that the Judiciary Management has been tasked to further enquire into the allegations against Magistrate David Simusamba. Further, that the Commission shall be informed of the course of action to be taken by the Judicial Service Commission after completion of the internal processes. The Commission shall accordingly revert to you upon receipt of the action taken report by the Judicial Service Commission. I have been directed to inform you accordingly. The delay in attending to your complaint, due to vacancies in the membership of the Commission and other circumstances beyond the Commission’s control, is deeply regretted.”

Commenting on the same, Mumba said Simusamba needs to try another profession.

“It has taken a long time but I do understand because there has been a change of commissioners and I commend a new set of commissioners who have quickly worked on it. Also, I am actually encouraged that they took my concern and our concern seriously and I think we raised some very serious allegations against honourable Simusamba,” Mumba said. “He misconducted himself through and through and personally I do not think he deserves to sit as a man discharging justice on behalf of God.”

He said there had been other complaints about Simusamba abusing his position to disadvantage some political players.

“I think he [Simusamba] needs to try another profession and I think he is too compromised to be useful to the judicial system. I hope that those who are tasked with the responsibility to now take the actual action will not succumb to the same pressure of corruption that might persuade them to give in…” said Mumba. “I am not the only one who has complained about honourable Simusamba. There have been a lot of complaints, especially from political players, that he has taken advantage of his position to abuse some of us and the Judicial Commission is proving that it can stand on behalf of ordinary citizens like us.”

Kalaba ‘sorry’ for helping make Lungu President

0

HARRY Kalaba says President Edgar Lungu has lowered the Office of President to unthinkable levels.

He says President Lungu could have been anything else, except to be Republican President.

The opposition Democratic Party (DP) leader apologised to Zambians for the active role he played to ensure that Lungu became President in January 2015, following the death of president Michael Sata in October 2014.

“For those who would want to hear me, I’m sorry Zambia. Zambians, I’m really sorry. It’s an apology I have made repeatedly. [But] when I realised that he (President Lungu) was not very suited for office, I resigned [as foreign affairs minister in January 2018],” Kalaba said on a special interview programme on Choma Maanu radio in Choma, on Sunday afternoon. “I realised that he was not fit for that presidential office. President Lungu could have been anything else, but not President. Those shoes are too big for him. I have said this before and I’ll continue saying it. That’s why I had to vacate that office. President Lungu has lowered the office of presidency to levels we never imagined.”

Kalaba also cautioned that China was almost taking over Zambia and that at the end of the day, “we’ll be like Sri Lanka where they took over the whole port.”

“We’ll be like Djibouti where they have taken over. Zambia is also about to be taken over by China because of poor leadership,” Kalaba warned.

He regretted that the moment Sata died, everything that he stood for died.

“Today, Zambia has produced more Chinese than Botswana, more Chinese than any other country in the SADC region. We are inviting Chinese to come from China…” he said. “I respect China [and] I love the relationship between Zambia and China. But it must be a win-win situation. What is happening now is embarrassing! Who is doing our roads? Our airports? Our [communication] towers? They are all coming from outside and no Zambian today can claim to be a billionaire.”

He told Zambians to stand up next year and not to give a single vote to the PF.

He said Zambia was in its state today “because of recklessness – borrowing.”

Kalaba said next year’s general elections would present a crunch chance for the country’s youths, women, “and for the men who have been left out in the economic equation of our country.”

“Next year is a time to liberate ourselves. It’s a time to give Zambians a fresh start,” Kalaba said.

As far as Kalaba is concerned, President Lungu is seeking a third term of office.

“If he forces his way on the ballot paper, Zambians still have an option to reject him, and vote for Harry Kalaba and DP. Don’t even waste your time looking at him (Lungu)!” he said. “See how the President and his team are insisting on Bill 10! That is the only lifeline they have. But Bill 10 collapsed and they had to change the Standing Orders of Parliament…”

He wondered as to what President Lungu had not done, “that he now wants to continue doing if he wins his third term.”

“He has done limited things. Yes, corruption, unemployment, tribalism, violence, have all swelled under his leadership,” Kalaba noted.

He also commiserated with the media in Zambia, over the worst treatment from politicians.

“Journalists are now being beaten when they go to cover events. When they report independently, they are closed. The PF have reduced the profession of journalism and all they want is journalists to be patronising them. But there is no need to stifle the media,” he said.

Earlier in the day, Kalaba and his staff prayed at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Dominion Life Church International and finally at the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG).

When given a chance to greet the congregation at Dominion Life Church International, Kalaba said the Body of Christ should always pray that God settles for people with pure intentions to serve Zambians

“Pray for us that we might be selfless in our pursuit for power. Please, pray for us that we might have pure intentions as we seek to serve God’s people, in higher office,” said Kalaba.

“When the righteous rule, people rejoice. But when the wicked rule, the people mourn.”

I am Sorry I Cheated My Wife with a very beautiful, smart and intelligent young lady – Chilufya Tayali

By Chilufya Tayali

I AM SORRY I CHEATED, I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY
===============
One thing I don’t accept is to be threatened of being exposed, because I am not a hypocrite who shows something else to the public, other than the reality. I tell the truth and I am not good at lying which is why I was caught cheating.

I am not sharing this to blame anyone, I am the one who is wrong here, but I am posting because someone is trying to threaten me of exposure, that doesn’t work with me.

Yes, I am in public, but that should never be used to threaten me, I would rather resign.

Yes, I have been divorced once, but I will not be held to ransom in fear of people judging me.

So the story started on one fateful weekend when I entered into an argument with my wife over money issues, such that it led to her throwing her wedding rings at me. This has happened countless times, even on flimsy arguments.

I love my wife and my family, so I always try to do my best to be there and provide for them. Many times I take the humble stance to apologise even when I know I am not wrong, but for the sake of peace and harmony in the house.

Anyway, that weekend her actions really got to me as I picked the rings such that, I never wanted to put them back on her again.

On Monday I went for work and encountered a very beautiful, smart and intelligent young lady. She attended to my issues very well and she was very polite.

Since the issue I sort needed more than a day, we engaged in some text messages as the work progressed.

I was really fascinated by this lady’s dedication to work and good mannerisms, especially she had such good looks and elegant.

The work was meticulously done and I was very impressed. As per my culture, I like to appreciate people when they do good, so I did the same to her.

Anyway, to cut the long story short, we ended up dating while my wife kept on ignoring me or nagging me for everything, such that I always looked forward to talking or meeting the other lady.

I would say the feeling was mutual such that, we didn’t take long to find ourselves in bed.

Unfortunately, the time I spent with her needed to be accounted for to my wife, so I used to lie.

But I am not a good liar, besides my wife is more than a CIA, she checks everything including smelling the car most of the times when I arrived home.

She is also very good on video calls and checking my phone, in spite of me changing my password.

Anyway she caught me and had me confessing in a way that, I tried spared her heart (how can I replay the things that happened in the dark to her), however, it didn’t help.

She contacted the other lady and made sure that, she portrayed as a me as a bad guy who was just using her, but had no feelings for her at all.

I ended up between two ladies insulting me. The other lady blocked me while I am facing the wrath of my wife.

This is my story and I am sorry I failed my wife, my children and the rest of you who see me as a model. I am really sorry and I ask for your forgiveness and prayers. I insist I take full responsibility.

You are free to judge me as you wish, but I look up to God for mercy. I am genuinely sorry.

FAMILIES MUST COME FIRST!
