REASON WHY NKANA VS NCHANGA KICK OFF WAS DELAYED
NKANA’S win yesterday over Nchanga Rangers was enveloped in superstition as both teams attempted to get a psychological edge over the other ahead of kick-off in a Super League Week 23 fixture.
Kick-off was delayed for five minutes with Nkana goalkeeper Mangani Banda refusing to enter the pitch before Rangers striker Ceil Ebengo, who remained on the bench despite being in the starting 11.
It took the intervention of fourth official Kelvies Chishimba to compel Banda, an Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations winner, to enter the pitch.
