TELL ZAMBIANS HOW YOU PLAN TO PUT FOOD ON THEIR TABLES, NAWAKWI TELLS HH
FDD leader Edith Nawakwi has challenged President Hichilema to tell Zambians if he has a plan B if the IMF bailout package fails during tomorrow’s press conference.
Addressing some of the pertinent issues she feels the President should address, Nawakwi said President Hichilema must tell Zambians how he plans to put food on their tables.
“What are his plans to put food on the table? Hardly two months ago he said he had scored a first with the pipe line what has happened that the pipe line is damaged did they overlook security?” asked Nawakwi. However, the pipe was damaged on the Tanzanian side in Mbeya. “When is the bailout coming given (Finance minister Dr Situmbeko) Musokotwane’s pessimism that he is not sure when the bailout will be disbursed? No government has ever fed its citizens, the government collects from the citizens. When the state feeds its people its just a few corrupted and dirty mouth peaces like you that benefits. Please tell us the amount you put aside for national feeding programme when you were minister of finance.

Madame, there is no president in the world who puts food on people’s tables, so stop misleading people. The president just facilitates, he creates a conducive environment where Agriculture and other sectors can thrive under such conditions. Otherwise people have to work and produce the food themselves. Incentives like ASP and good market price are already given by the government and the hard working farmers will produce more and make more money. The President put it clear yesterday, he doesn’t want a situation where traders or smugglers make more money than farmers. It is illogical to wait for the food at table instead of waiting for it at the farm where it is produced. Therefore the farmer is more important than the consumer because if he hasn’t produced, the consumer will have nothing to consume. Let’s encourage people to work hard and produce more, if Ukraine which is at war with Russia can still manage to produce more and even export, Zambia which is at peace can do more. The pipe line was damaged by a Tanzanian and not by HH or his government.
Nawakwi please please spare us out of your madness. We are fed up of your foolishness. Let HH and Zambians alone. Just organize your FDD and challenge HH in 2026 ! You are simply wasting your time madam. You are letting many people down. If politics is difficult for try something else. At least you have some education. Or you were cursed somehow : failed politician, failed marriage and failed businesses ! Sorry !
Why has she not left country? She vowed to leave if HH won? Is it that there is no country that was willing to offer her “asylum”.
