UNITED KWACHA ALLIANCE IS HERE TO RESCUE ZAMBIANS – SILAVWE

… as the NDC leader Saboi Imboela urges Government Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa to read before issuing statements.

LUSAKA, TUESDAY, JANUARY,13, 2024 (SMART EAGLES)

GOLDEN Party of Zambia President Jackson Silavwe says the United Kwacha Alliance – UKA, has come to rescue Zambians from bad leadership and economic hardships.

Speaking when he and the NDC leader Saboi Imboela, were featured on the Hot Seat program on Hot FM radio in Lusaka, Mr. Silavwe said the alliance is aware of the dynamics happening in the country and that opposition political parties will work together to achieve one common goal.

He said more opposition political parties are being engaged to come up with a common ground.

” We want to rescue the people of Zambia because we are aware of the dynamics happening in the country. We are here to work together,” Mr.Silavwe said.

And Mr. Silavwe said contrary to falsehoods being peddled by some people, the Patriotic Front PF is not in the alliance to dominate it or be escorted to form a government.

He said all political parties in the alliance are equal partners and further urged Government Spokesperson Cornelious Mweetwa not to bring the mentality he had in their previous alliances to UKA.

” PF has not come to dominate the alliance and it is not PF rebranding but as a result of political parties coming together with one common goal. Mweetwa should not bring the mentality he had in their alliances to UKA,” Mr. Silavwe said.

” We are still engaging more opposition parties to come to a common ground and we shall listen to the voices of Zambians because UPND is trying to divide this country by feeding people with hate. The process of registration has started and we will make sure that all legal requirements are met. Our team of legal experts within the alliance is working on it.

Meanwhile, NDC leader Saboi Imboela said Chief Government Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa should take time to read and understand before issuing statements.

She said former President Lungu had not been chosen as a leader of the alliance and that from the onset he has made it clear that he is not in the alliance to bulldoze anyone.

“The thing about UKA is that it was formed out of consensus among leaders of the opposition political parties. UKA has not chosen a leader yet and the humility exhibited by former President Lungu is unprecedented. We are equal partners and any member of the alliance can take up any position because there is democracy, we are bringing our numbers together,” She said

  1. When Zambians were suffering under PF, you never rescued them until they had to rescue themselves with HH leading them. What rescue can that useless alliance of yours rescue us from? Is it not the opposite of what you are saying, how can you rescue Zambians by taking them back to the same people who destroyed our country? You don’t mean well for Zambia because you want to take us back to Misery and suffering. These are the same people who destroyed the economy, they stole our money, they borrowed recklessly and defaulted to pay back, they gassed us, they burnt our markets, they failed to pay retirees, they withdrew the meal allowances for University students, they left our children to learn from the floor and under the trees, their 1.6 million CDF had no impact on any meaningful development, free education remained a dream under PF but now it is a reality and we are enjoying it. Our children now sit on desks Under PF, caderism and lawlessness was the order of the day, so which rescue are you talking about Mr. Silavwe? unless you are dreaming. We don’t need any rescue from you now because we were already rescued by Bally and we are now ten times better than we were under PF.

  2. Anyone who embraces PF is senseless. The PF has just raped this country and left such mess in debt and printing money like Idi Amin not to talk about the violent thuggery way of misgovernance. Ba politician please be serious. Have some principles. Don’t get blown with the wind. We are a peaceful people We don’t want to see the chaos in the Sahel/Ecowas replicated here because that’s what happens when politicians lose respect from the population

  3. We have actually been running away from some faces who were prominent in decisions making processes in the past administrations that have brought us where we are.

Are you seriously considering taking us back to the old days again? Honestly some people can rest now. We appreciate all their efforts. It’s time for some fresh blood and new ideas. Our current enlightened youth won’t allow to be taken for granted any more.

Some of the people in this team should have concentrated on raising a younger and vibrant new generation of politicians. This would be more progressive.

It is an observation worth considering. Truth be told , you can only give what your skill level limits you to. As for Character your actions speak louder than an words issued.

I would like to encourage the youth to rise up and take interest in some of these very important positions. It is timely to participate in casting how you will live in say 40 to 50 years from now.

Obviously, most of the leaders around will too old or gone through natural law.

To leave an old generation alone to make decisions which will impact the many future youthful generation would be reckless.

Therefore it is important for all political parties to show us their strategical plans for the inclusion and training of the youth within their corridors of power. This is responsible leadership.

It is dangerous to have an unquenchable thirst and desire for a seat which needs to be protected and preserved for future generations.

Remember. We are the ones who vote. While you ruled and made decisions we watched and marked the results.

  4. As long as you have a thief like Lungu leading you and a number of has beens and crooks from previous governments like Kalaba in your midst then you are going nowhere.
