CHILUFYA TAYALI APPLYING FOR ASYLUM IN SOUTH AFRICA, CLAIMS THERE IS NO FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION IN ZAMBIA
Political comedian Chilufya Tayali is applying for asylum in South Africa by cheating government officials that his life in Zambia is in danger.
Tayali also wants to cheat that there is no freedom of expression in Zambia. But this is conman Tayali who is ever expressing himself on social media, radio and television stations.
But the people he scandalises have taken him to court and now been slapped with a court bench warrant meaning the moment he steps foot in Zambia, he’s being taken into prison.
Tayali is also owing huge amounts of money for his lawyers who have since abandoned him.
But for the South African government to give him asylum, he has to prove beyond doubt that he is indeed under threat in Zambia.
Normally asylum seekers tend to runaway without even passing through immigration formalities, but Tayali passed through Zambian immigration authorities using the Zambian passport.
Lately, the Zambian opposition parties have been crying shrinking democratic space, yet they are quick to praise regimes such as that of Putin in Russia and Zimbabwe.
In Russia, Putin has just been reelected with almost 100 percent of the vote while all his opponents are dying in jails. But this is the kind of regimes the Zambian opposition are admiring and showering praise.
