COMMONWEALTH BOARD OF GOVERNORS CONFIRMS APPOINTMENT OF H.E. MAZOKA AS MEMBER OF IT’S EXCO
The Commonwealth Board of Governors have confirmed the nomination and appointment of Her Excellency Ms. Macenje Mazoka, High Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia to the UK as a member of the Executive Committee for a year effective 1st July 2024.
H.E. Mazoka’s appointment followed a vacancy occasioned by the end of Ghana’s tenure.
The Executive Committee (Ex Co) is a committee of the Board of Governors of the Commonwealth that sits quarterly to look at reports from the office of the Secretary General on operations of individual funds, oversee budget and audit functions and other functions referred to it by the Board.
Additionally, the Exco, may on its own initiative, between meetings of the Board of Governors, consider items which it deems important for advancing the work of the Board of Governors and render advice and recommendations.
